Really poor food. Early booking of 7pm for dinner and told multiple dishes were off the menu. Made a choice of creamy garlic and chilli mushrooms, so bland, basically mushrooms in cream. With toasted French bread to dip (menu said ciabatta nevermind, must’ve been out of that too) no butter. Ordered the crunchy Stilton salad, as this wasn’t mentioned as being ‘off the menu tonight’, few minutes after ordering am told unfortunately they have no Stilton. Ok. So chose the halloumi salad, this was dire, it was an expensive £14.50 bowl of supermarket leaves, some boiled carrot crescents, not the carrot ribbons described, a couple of slices of orange and cold badly cooked halloumi. No one asked how it was. FYI…. It was terrible and a con thanks for asking. We won’t be back. Shame as previously had some nice lunches here. To add to this is was live music, which we should have been told about on booking, was out with friends who have not seen in too long, wanted to actually hold a conversation but we couldn’t hear each other as was so loud. Also, get some more better veggie options on. Halloumi salad or a halloumi burger? Bit lazy.

We visited for a Mother’s Day meal after booking in advance. On arrival we were met me a pleasant member of staff who welcomed us and showed us to our table. Within 30 seconds a waitress came and asked us what drinks we wanted. We didn’t want alcohol so the choice was limited. Asked what alternatives they had, waitress didn’t really know but offered J2O or coke. There was also a note on the table telling us how long we had. I understand it was Mother’s Day and busy but felt this was not necessary. I’ve never been to a pub or restaurant and had this. We ordered drinks and 3 carveries and 1 kids pasta. Firstly the carvery was very good. The roast meats were cooked to perfection and the crackling was lovely. The portions were also very generous. The availability of the rest was great with a good choice of vegetables etc. My daughter’s pasta on the other hand was pretty awful. The bowl was scorching hot and the pasta was slushy mix of what was a tomato sauce and packet pasta. It wasn’t cheap either. We didn’t say anything at the time as my daughter didn’t want a fuss. I get that it was a busy day and carvery is your thing but alternatives have to be good. All in all the carvery was very good , the service was pleasant but a little rushed.

We stayed at the hotel and had a deal for breakfast and a £30 meal supplement each for one night through Secret Escapes. We then booked another night ourselves through the hotel and got a great deal, with a cream tea, £25 meal supplement each and breakfast. We also got given the most terrific room for the 2nd night which had a fourposter and it really did make our stay. Thanks to all the staff at the Snooty Fox, but in particular Cris who seemed to be on reception and man of all talents in the dining room also. We do feel he went above to make sure we had the best stay possible. Also thank you to Angie who was so helpful also. We love Tetbury, there is so much to visit nearby so we will definitely be back again.

Overall disappointing because half the experience is the ‘classic chip shop chip’ and we feel the chips here are definitely the frozen wholesale bagged, not on site machine peeled potatoes, then fried. Very disappointed. The two large cods had tasty meat but were ruined due to excessive grease/oil which was literally dripping out. The batter oozed oil and so had that white slime beneath it. So we couldn’t recommend this experience for that authentic chippy visit. We won’t return We paid £25 for 2 large cod, large + small chips and a mushy peas

Visited with the parents for a sunday roast. I had the pork whilst my parents had the beef. It was excellent. My dad couldn't eat it all so I had some of his beef which was the best I've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back and I'd recommended you to anyone.

Great little boozer off the main busy high street. Friendly service and a well kept pint of Bellringer hit the spot. I'll be back again if next in Bath.
