My husband Perry and I went to the Tuesday night quiz at this lovely olde world pub. We had a fabulous night and the landlord and landlady made us feel really welcome. Although we didn't eat, the meals that were coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely delicious. We will certainly be going back for the quiz every Tuesday and intend to take our friends there when they visit on different evenings. We will definitely be eating there also. This is a friendly and lovely pub not to be missed !

We visited the area and went to look for a place for lunch. We opted for a chicken burger and a mixed grill. The food was really bad, overcooked and verging on inedible. My burger was so overcooked it was grey In the middle. My partner had a well done steak bone dry chicken and the dryest sausage he's ever had. For such a busy area this pub could be a real asset but not with the food coming out like that. No wonder the restaurant side was so quiet even though there was a football match on. Such a shame

We came for an evening meal while staying on holiday nearby. The pub is in beautiful spot, the building is historic and inside it is nicely decorated with a great traditional atmosphere; clean but not over refurbished. Awful weather but they put us by a lovely warm fire and served us a fantastic meal and desserts. The staff were friendly, the pub was busy but not overcrowded and the whole evening was good value for money. I can't praise it enough!

We went for a lovely sunny walk at the weekend and then we stopped by Keynsham high street for some brunch. Our go to spot for breakfast is always Grounded! The full English was incredible and ryan had a tuna and cheese jacket potato which hit the spot. Almost tried all the Grounded locations now đ

Really poor food. Early booking of 7pm for dinner and told multiple dishes were off the menu. Made a choice of creamy garlic and chilli mushrooms, so bland, basically mushrooms in cream. With toasted French bread to dip (menu said ciabatta nevermind, mustâve been out of that too) no butter. Ordered the crunchy Stilton salad, as this wasnât mentioned as being âoff the menu tonightâ, few minutes after ordering am told unfortunately they have no Stilton. Ok. So chose the halloumi salad, this was dire, it was an expensive ÂŁ14.50 bowl of supermarket leaves, some boiled carrot crescents, not the carrot ribbons described, a couple of slices of orange and cold badly cooked halloumi. No one asked how it was. FYIâŠ. It was terrible and a con thanks for asking. We wonât be back. Shame as previously had some nice lunches here. To add to this is was live music, which we should have been told about on booking, was out with friends who have not seen in too long, wanted to actually hold a conversation but we couldnât hear each other as was so loud. Also, get some more better veggie options on. Halloumi salad or a halloumi burger? Bit lazy.
