We enjoyed our visit to country skittles, we had booked in advance to bowl, had a 30 mins slot whilst our food was prepared, once the session ended we went back to our table and the food was served within 5mins. The food was amazing, excellent value for money The staff were really friendly. We had a lovely visit & enjoyed the different games. Board games are available.

Last visited here 12 years ago, and on our first visit back to this part of Cornwall we knew we needed to go again and see how it was! Booked online and received an email confirmation the following day; skittles followed by a meal. We played for 30 minutes and it flew by! Then having ordered prior to the game, we sat down and our food was no more than 5 minutes from being delivered and what food it was! Both had Lamb on hot grillstone and it was fantastic - great portion, tasty side dishes, good price. Stopped for a few games of pool afterwards (£1 to play); they also have lots of board games etc. Everything we remembered it to be - such a good place to visit - a real gem.

We come here as a party of 7 for skittles and a meal The staff were very friendly but it felt very rushed As soon as we entered skittles we were shown to our skittles game (which we booked in advance) before our meal, Whilst playing skittles we were given the menu to choose our food we would like I would of preferred to play our half an hour game of skittles instead of deciding what to eat and having to leave the game to order our food The food came quickly once we were sat at our tables and it was a hit and miss on the food The steaks was really nice and tasty and came on a hot plate for you to cook your steak The chicken fittas were also cooked on a hot plate and really nice But the lasagna let the meal down The lasagna was made with so many herbs it let the taste down, it tasted like you are eating just herbs and could not taste anything else, Enquired what herbs was in the lasagna , found out mix of Italian herbs, basil and dill Just won’t be ordering lasagna again Apart from feeling rushed and the lasagna, we did have a lovely evening

Hidden gem this place , Nick the main man so friendly,Grace & Simon (only staff i met) , can’t do enough for you . Food great prices & quality with it . Pool tables , dart board , air hockey , The main thing there is the skittles alley , fantastic fun , be sure to ring up if you want skittles other wise rock up & it’s all good

We had an amazing meal at Country Skittles. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. Great choice for veggies! So good for children as is lovely and clean with lots of space. The staff are so lovely and helpful! We can’t wait to go again.

This place is great! They really made our Grandsons birthday something special. From walking in to having to leave I cannot fault any one of the staff. To be honest they were the most friendly staff I’ve encountered in a long time. Very good service, good menu … all in all food was very good quality and plenty to go around. The skittle games were ideal and the staff are on hand to help, extra games room is also ideal should you be waiting between food and skittles. We will definitely be back! Well done to all your staff.

I used the app to book two sessions of skittles for the evening of my daughter's birthday (after being told via answerphone that it's not possible to book by phone). I recieved an email at half 3 in the afternoon (2 hours before our booking began) to say sorry they're booked out and we couldn't come. I shan't be trying to go again - how ridiculous that their app let us book and then that no one saw fit to let us know until we were nearly ready to leave (we live an hours drive away!!). Completely unreliable!!!!

Initially went just to play skittles but ended up staying and playing games then having food. Skittles was great fun although over too quickly, we then stayed to play pool, darts and board games. Plenty to do here and good selection on menu for all tastes. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good value for money

Well worth a visit. Found at the end of our holiday which was a shame as we would have been many times if found sooner. Food was delicious and good portions for what you pay for. Bowling is so much fun and a good challenge for teams. 30 minutes is a good time but wished we had got another 30 minutes as we had such a good time. Tables are big enough to play the many board games on offer and like that the pieces are kept at the desk so nothing can get lost. Arcade room is also good. If ever back down that way we will be coming again.

Brilliant night out, lots of fun for 7 of us playing skittles. Was a little worried about some food reviews as I can be picky about service and food but I need not have worried. Big portions of high quality food. Thoroughly recommend

I always include this night out when family come to stay. Plenty of parking space on site, large indoor venue plus outside eating space if weather allows. Inside can accommodate large and small groups with well-spaced tables, lots of boxed games and pool tables plus the real attraction, old fashioned skittles. It’s all well organised with plenty of staff on hand. The food is tasty and good value. Care is taken over food allergies. Bathroom nice and clean. Lovely deserts and coffee too.

This hidden gem is underrated. Food was amazing, beautifully presented, tasted soooo nice! Generous portions, top quality meat. Despite having no space for desert it was delicious! Toffee pudding to die for! There was 6 of us and every single one was full, happy and grateful for an excellent service and amazing food. 5 stars!!!

partners been throwing up for the last 45mins after eating battered fish here. fish was really wet and slimey and clearly not fresh and shouldn't have been served. sadly ate a fair bit before realising due to trying to keep our 18m old happy, being hungry and a tad under pressure. phoned and was told it would be investigated and dates etc looked into. asked what we would like to be done about it!!

Had the best family evening here. The grill stone steaks were awesome! Food was delicious. The games are so great! Good old fashioned family fun we played skittles, pool air hockey the list was endless. The staff were very friendly and so accommodating. We also asked for a special shot called Springbok ( South African) and they had it and did it! Cannot rate this place enough!! Will definitely be back again soon we had a great family evening thank you all!

Had a family get together. Some of the food very poor. My partner had the chicken katsu curry which seemed to have been reheated tasted dry. Had a upset stomach foe 3 days after. Burgers were basic from frozen. Would definitely not eat there again. More bad meals than good. We were a party of 15.

Visited with large groups on 2 occasions. Pre Ordered the food as mid week and seemed sensible to help the kitchen & staff plan. Will certainly return

Went to Country Skirtles today for lunch with my mum, daughter and her 2 friends to celebrate her 11th birthday. We hadn't booked the kids birthday packages as kids wanted different items to eat that weren't part of the party package. The barman was extremely friendly. Whilst we were bowling he organised balloons and banners for our table, a nice touch with so many children's birthdays going on around us. All this because he saw my daughters birthday badge on her jacket. We had 2 fun bowling sessions, a delicious lunch and as always a great time. Will definitely be returning again. Thanked the barman with slice of our birthday cake. All staff were really helpful and friendly.

We go here most years, for Christmas get together, as usual food was great, a fun evening except this year, one of our new members is in a wheelchair. Her first fight was to get in, steps one side of entrance door ramp the other sounds good, until you realise ramp goes down to a gravelled area with picnic tables. (website says accessible carpark but doesn't mention the gravel. Next when you get to the skittle alley, a step up to bowl with no ramp available. Lastly no accessible toilet, apparantly her wheelchair was too wide ( she is a very small person). Their website says accessible toilet, doesn't give width restrictions, but basically not an adult. Somebody from there should borrow a wheelchair and see what they think!!!! About time the venue moved with the times and get it sorted., or we will need to find a different venue and that will be a shame.

atmosphere very cold no heat and noisy disaster with the order long wait even as iI had preordered but due big party of twelve ahead lost will to live and was refunded for my meal no argument on that as for the skittles was great fun eating wasn't an experience to re do here

We were a group of 8, had a table booked for 6.30 for food only (no gaming). We booked an early table due to medical reasons as my husband needs to eat early due to medication. Placed our orders by 6.40, 4 of us were having starters, then sat at our tables and waited & waited & waited, nearly an hour later we asked the bar man how long our starters would be, he went to the kitchen and returned telling us 5 mins, which it was. However our main meals didn’t arrived at our table after asking again how long would our meal be, well the meals arrived at 8.20 nearly 2 hours after we ordered it, some of the meals were fine, but the ribs were dry and the sauce very sweet, chips could have been a lot hotter, felt very disappointed no apologies for the wait. Due to the late arrival of the meals my husband couldn’t eat his as it was too late. Had to take it home with us. Won’t be beach anytime soon.

This year we decided that we'd visit twice in our weeks family holiday as we always love it here, the food is great and the atmosphere is fabulous. We visited first on the Wednesday, we played skittles, they got down a bead table for the babies to play with while we did that. I don't know if they had staff issue this night but the service wasn't up to it's usual standard, they had some young men working and they didn't seem overly self assured and so the service was a bit hit and miss. They bought out a wrong meal which had to be redone, apologies were given etc & it was rectified. Apart from a few chips all the food was good although I had stroganoff and the rice was not fresh rice, it tasted and looked like bag or microwave rice (why?). We returned on the Friday and played pool etc before eating this time and they clearly had different staff on as the service was perfect, the food was perfect and we had a fabulous evening. We will return again for sure as we always get a good meal, the veggie fajitas were amazing but please do fresh rice with the dishes that come with it, it makes a big difference.

Over the last months the level of service at Cornish restaurants has dropped significantly, I think due to exhaustion from an insanely busy late half of the season from increased national tourism and eat out to help out scheme. However this place is absolutely in its stride. This review is for the restaurant so I'll try and be specific to that experience though the overall experience of the place was phenomenal. Menus clean, easy to read, and everything on it was available. Obviously nothing Michelin star fancy but with plenty of options for all (without being there for days trying to decide from 50 plus items) - the novelty hot plate steak is a great touch. Prices reasonable for quality of food, basically family pub food anyone could appreciate (side salads decent size and portions balanced if you want to be healthier and avoid too many of those naughty but gratifying pub chips). Food perfectly timed to the end of our skittles game. Service absolutely sets them apart. The two ladies who were running the place last night were perfectly attentive without being irritating, completely genuine and relaxed in what they were doing yet professional and supportive of the other more junior staff members helping them out. Knew the drinks menu easily when we had questions, were enthusiastic (but not in a forced way) when taking our orders, checked back on food and needs for drinks, cleared everything quickly. Honestly I'm still in shock and envy at it, having worked in hospitality for a number of years by Thursday evening after the third week of this eat out to help out scheme I'd have been fried. You know you could go and queue at these fancy new trendy restaurants down in hayle or st Ives etc with constant stress of where to park, what do I actually want to eat, can I get a table, what activity are we going to queue for after, knowing you're going to have to hunt for staff to get another drink as you've been trying to catch their eye for 25 mins whilst they run around trying to use a system to serve an over booked room their inexperienced owners have put in place and getting twitchy. Or, you could come here eat and drink well, feel like you've had a genuine normal stress free evening and get up early the next morning to write a review as you're so appreciative you want to share it.

Visited this place for a meal, not been in years so thought We would try it... won’t be rushing back! Service from the waiting staff was non existent, wasn’t told we had to order food at the bar/counter when we were shown to the table, food was ok, apart from the hot Crusty garlic bread.... was soggy bread which had been microwaved to melt the cheese....no waiter/waitress came to check if everything was ok at all...after we had eaten main meal the plates were left for 20 mins with 10 waiter/waitresses passing the table empty handed on way back to kitchen, I did tell the waitress when she finally cleared our plates that I was dissatisfied with the garlic bread and the chips where mostly end of bag tiny bits. Her answer was “she would let the kitchen staff know” no apology or anything! Safe to say we tried it but won’t be returning anytime soon. Don’t like paying for my food on ordering either, it shows distrust in your customers.

Another visit to Country Skittles and seems to never disappoint. Staff and service is efficient and friendly. Menu options have increased with a vegetarian/vegan menu as well although have not tried their dishes yet. Quality of food is great with a lovely steak on a stone option. Good sized portions and freshly made. The games and bowling alley are a great addition to this place especially for a night out. Highly recommend and surely will be back soon enough!

We had a great time at this unique place - skittles, good dinner and plenty of board games. It was fun for all the family and a great idea for a holiday night out.

About 20 of us had a pre ordered meal for a 30th. We turned up ordered a drink and had a game of skittles that's the kids took over. Ate a large selection of food off the menu and nobody had a complaint. Good night all in all!

We go here every year whilst on holiday, the skittles are a bit of fun, don’t take it too seriously and you’ll enjoy it but your never going to knock all 8 pins down! The bar and food area are nice with big tables to select from the board games and enjoy family time.The food is good, can be a bit of an expensive evening but then I guess most places are in Cornwall mid season. It’s a good relaxing area for playing pool, darts a giant chess board and selection of board games. The food was very good and big portion sizes. My four were happy. Staff helpful.

We were staying at Mably Farm cottage located behind Country Skittles (very different review added).I arrived with my family including my two young children who high have autism (an invisible disability), development delay and are both nonverbal. From arriving the staff could not have been more welcoming. Special thanks must go to Fran, Simone & Matty who went above and beyond ensuring my children and family had everything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We ate at Country Skittles several times and the food was beautiful every time. We also enjoyed the many variety of games on offer from bowling to board games, pool tables. Whilst we will not be staying at the Mably Farm cottage again, when we do return to Cornwall we will definitely be paying a visit to Country Skittles. Thank you for making such an effort with my family. My children having an invisible disability, going out can often be extremely hard as people can be very judgemental. I cannot praise Fran, Simone and Matty enough. What an amazing world we would live in with more wonderful understanding non judgemental people like the staff at Country Skittles. Thank you, we will definitely see you again.

We recently visited the country skittles as a large family under the name of James The meal was really good and extremely good value - I 100% recommend this place for excellent service and value for money - our children were entertained in the games room... my only regret is we didn’t find this earlier

1) first pint terrible go off tribute Changed it,given different pint nearly as bad,so had a Guinness not great.One meal chicken and bacon,sent back,raw in the middle.ordered puds,they said death by choc wasn't ordered,I know it was because they asked if I've cream was required.Had to reorder.Just taking flowers out to car,they shouted at me in front of everyone,hey come back you haven't paid for a pudding,everything else had been paid for.my family was in play area,they thought I was doing a runner.WILL Not BE GOING AGAIN. ,By the way NO APOLOGIES from them

There are a selection of board games but everyone we picked had bits missing so couldnt play them. Couldnt fault the food though, the steak on the hot rock was lovely and portion sizes were generous.

Just had amazing roast beef Sunday lunch, very large portion of meat, good selection of vegetables and really good roast potatoes, will be asking for a child's one next time!! Staff friendly and helpful too.

Came here for a birthday dinner and bowling . Really friendly staff make this an enjoyable visit . Yes it’s a bit dated , but it has a nice feel about the place . The food was ok , it isn’t going to set the world alight , but good portions and tasty . Again the staff really make this a pleasant experience .

We've been coming here every time we're on holiday down this way and it really is a family favourite and the evening we all most look forward to. This year we bought our daughter in law with us and she really enjoyed it too. The food is amazing, hot and plenty of it and the desserts are divine and generous. The skittles is always fun, dil thrashed us all and then went on to thrash me and our son at air hockey! The only downside for me this year was the driving games had gone, Mario was in it's place so I went on that instead! It's always spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely.

We were a party of 10 including Grandparents, parents and 4 children ranging from 2 to 13. We all had a wonderful time playing skittles and enjoying the giant drafts as well as the other board games and air hockey.

This is such a lovely place to eat and kids enjoy it here too x kids do not get bored and a bonus is the bowling alley

What a great place this is, food was lovely and very generous portions you can play endless board games whilst waiting for food or whilst you eat which with children is a great idea to stop them getting bored, skittles was fun very different from bowling and alot harder to knock all the skittles down which makes it more fun because it gives the children a good chance to bet the adults when playing the pyramid game, games room aswell you could easly spend a good few hours here staff were very friendly and helpful also, if i wasnt here on holiday i would be visting all the time.

Having been to skittles a number of times I thought I should write a review. Our family have always had great fun and faultless service from the team. The food is delicious and really good value for money. Can highly recommend paying them a visit.

We had great fun here for a bday party, skittles and games fun, staff friendly. Reception lady lovely. As always there is room for improvement - food good but could do with a third item ie garnish / onion rings with burgers, beans/peas with chicken nuggets and chips - the food was good though - just looked like like it was missing an item. Bday tables could do with something on them so it looks like it is for a bday ie balloons or a banner. All in all though a great place and fun times, we will be back.

We were staying in Cornwall in a chalet and decided to take our family out for lunch, checked online and it said they are open 12-11 but when we get there it is all locked up with signs saying it is open from 6-11' So wasted trip and didn't get to try the facilities.

Great value for money here, the burgers are massive. Not the best I’ve had but they were very good. They take a Taste and Gourmet Card so it’s even better value for money. Well worth a visit. The service was very good too.

Was in the area and stopped off for lunch. Lovely food - shared the Skittles Platter for 2 with the Hubby. Staff very helpful and friendly. Played the mini crazy golf outside when it stopped raining - only downside was the wind kept blowing the ball and it took many attempts to get the ball where we wanted it to go, but hey, all part of the fun! Also enjoyed a game of 9 pin skittles (if you intend to play this, make sure you book on arrival as there can be a long waiting list). Hubby visited years ago and wanted to visit again - I can see why! Lots of fun, good food and a great environment. So I'm sure we'll be back if within the area again in the future. Would recommend!

What a find, everything about the place is spot on, and equally good for adults and children. What sets this place aside though are the staff, without exception they were all superb, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were staying at nearby Godolphin for a week, and ended up visiting on five of the seven days we were there.

Visited County Skittles with the family while dodging the rain. Having turned up a little sceptical I was amazed at how well run and professional the place was while maintaining a friendly vibe.

También puedes jugar bolos, pistolas de aire fuego, jugar en la sala de juegos, un par de juegos de billar o jugar en uno de los muchos juegos de mesa que tienen en las estanterías. Es estupendo para familias, pero muchos niños que supervise y jugando en las escaleras mientras las camareras donde llevar las comidas. Tomó años para que llegue la comida y era bastante básico, el pastel de carne con cerveza era muy aguada. Pero lo que pagas...

Llegamos anoche con tres niños overexcited cansado, y desde el momento que entramos por la puerta nos trataron con total amabilidad. Nada era demasiado, y dos miembros del personal, en particular, hicieron lo imposible para hacernos sentir bienvenidos, acomodado y relajado. Copa rota, salpicaduras vasos (por los niños, no yo! ) fueron resueltos con calma y amablemente.

Party of ten sat on a large table which was nice but..., food came out 10-15 mins apart which was awkward for people who are eating together. Children's food was ok as well. I had to have my daughter on my knee as not enough high chairs which I think needs to be addressed. Food was ok nothing to shout about. We will defiantly go back to bowl but not to eat.

Lovely child friendly restaurant, good value for money. When we eat out in restaurants you notice children are given mobile phones in a bid to keep them entertained because restaurants for young children can be pretty boring, at country skittles it's the exact opposite. There's something for everyone, the food is delicious the staff are friendly. My daughter had her birthday party here with a few friends back in December and it was excellent value for money. The staff were all very friendly. We were seated straight away as we had made a reservation, we ordered our food and drinks and went straight over to the skittles (with our drinks). The skittles was great fun, so much so that we booked another round after our dinner! The food was nice, I ordered the burger which was huge and very tasty and came with a portion of chips, I couldn't finish it because there was so much! I would highly recommend this place for a group of people or even a couple.

Fun place with plenty to keep both adults and children entertained. The skittles can get quite competative!! Good menu with plenty of choice. The steak on a stone is great.

Rainy days are great fun at country skittles. Food, bowling, and a great games room. Boxes n boxes of games to keep the little ones entertained FOC so waiting for our meal was great fun.

Visited on a Friday with a large group of friends . We were ushered into our bowling session and reminded that our food would be served at 7:30 !! One of our party had to return his pint of beer as it was so cloudy and tasted awful also the lemonade tasted very sugary . The bowling went well then we sat at our table for our pre ordered meal . The selection of starters was ok , but the turkey tasted like warmed up Turkey roll , potatoes and parsnips were burnt , brussel sprouts were raw and the waiter spilt gravy all down my jacket ! The staff were all quite miserable and we felt that we were in the way or perhaps none of them liked their job!! We will not be returning here .

After a day out, we were looking for somewhere to eat on our way back to the holiday cottage where we were staying. We discovered this place completely by chance - thank you Google maps!The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was typical pub grub but very tasty and filling (rack of ribs, red pepper and mushroom stroganoff and a beef and pulled pork burger), reasonably priced drinks and the chance for a quick game of pool before our food arrived. It was quiet while we were there, but the opportunity to play skittles, amongst other activities, makes it a good wet weather venue or a family evening out and people were starting to arrive as we left. We had to laugh when we asked about the selection of coffees and were told that there was black or white. A minor point and we'd be happy to go back.

We booked a table for our meals, very helpful on the phone. Also booked half hour of entitles. Advised to arrive a little early which we strongly advise you take because you can pre-order your meals then bowl at the entitles alley then your meal is ready for you at the table! All the staff were friendly. So many other activities to do, some free and some extra charge:Shooting gallery, air hockey, pool tables, crazy golf, arcade games, table football, board games, giant indoor draughts and shuffleboard! If that's not enough there's no pleasing you! Great for big occasion parties!Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will be coming back again someday!

We had been wanting to go here all week while away in Hayle and managed to get there on our last night of holiday and we certainly saved the best till last. Not only was it easy to book, the lady on the phone advised us to get there a little earlier, choose our food before playing the skittles game and it was cooking while we played! We not only had great fun but had great food too, there was loads to do for both adults and kids alike, not only had we played skittles before dinner we also played pool, connect 4, giant checkers, miniature golf, shuffle board as well as loads more to choose from. This place would be amazing on a cold or wet day but we had gone on a lovely day and it was just as good and kept us thoroughly entertained all evening. Great concept, lovely staff, nice food - couldn't have asked for more.

We decided to take the grand children for a lunch and then some fun. 9 pin bowling alleys, board games etc. keep the young ones entertained as well as the adults. The food is very nice and pretty good value. If it is school holiday time then it can be very busy.,Bar available aswell.

Needing a place to go for food and entertainment we stumbled across Country Skittles via satnav, what a find! Plenty to do for the children with many many board games, "old fashioned" bowling, colouring, shooting, and so much more. Our 5 and almost 3 year old had a great time choosing the next game to play bringing it back to our table as though it was a new find. Really heart warming to see. The food is good honest grub, well cooked and reasonably priced. What made it for me was the staff, helpful, friendly and welcoming. A real delight - a happy find.

I have been meaning to write this for some time now a party of 24 guests visited country skittles for bowling and a meal. the waitress was the only one there as it was only opened for us. She was great her name was Scarlett . she operated the bowling took are food orders, and then served us !! She was great..

Many games and events for all ages from little children upwards. We had meal afterwards. Staff very pleasant and friendly

Visited a couple of weeks ago. I hadn't been for years so we thought we'd give it a try. We arrived at about 8.20 and were told that the kitchen closed at 8.30 so we had to order quickly. This seems a bit early to close a kitchen! The food arrived quickly but there were items missing on both dishes. My partners scampi had no tartare sauce or lemon wedge and my burger was missing the salad and the nachos. It seemed they had realised this and replaced the items with more Re-fried chips! Nobody came to check on our food or asked if everything was ok with our meals after we both had clearly left the majority of it. The skittles was fun but it hasn't changed since I went there for my 8th birthday. The games room was dusty and in need of a good clean. A couple of the games machines were out of order aswell and swallowed my money. No staff in sight to complain to until we paid the bill because they were obviously in a rush to get home. I'm a restaurant manager myself and I thought this was a pretty poor effort!

We had a really good evening here. There were 40 of us and we played skittles and ate. Food was good and everyone enjoyed themselves. The children found lots to amuse themselves as well. Staff were helpful and prices were reasonable.

Another visit to local skittles but will not be back for a while. Took grandson for bowling and was given the same faulty lane (4) that was still faulty from last October.Air hockey machines were not used as no puck was found until later. Pool table was faulty and would not take coins so had to wit for another table to become free. I noticed other lanes were having failures and staff kept resetting them. The place seems a little run down and certainly needs attention.

After being greeted warmly by the staff at reception we were guided promptly to our pre booked table ( you have to book in advance)From there we ordered our meal so it was ready for when we had finished playing skittles.A tannoy system informs you when your lane is ready.Great old fashioned skittle fun.The meal on the most part was nice, however I ordered the pumpkin soup, it tasted lovely but was full of half blended seeds. Not a fuss though just left them on the plate.My burger was huge and and should have come with a health warning it was very spicy.It was a pleasure to have a relaxed family evening with food and drink and board games at the table. We worked our way through connect four and pop up pirate :)Would be happy to come here again.

Whenever we stay in Hayle on holiday Country Skittles is a must for one evening of our week away. We've been coming here now for several years & it is always a fun filled night with wonderful tasty and hot food. They have a good all round menu, skittles, air hockey, pool, board games etc and of course the car driving arcade games that hubby has to prise me out of every time!! The only letdown this visit was that they shut at 9.30, we were told this at 9, we visited on a Tuesday, & I think this may have been due to being very quiet. We will return again next time we're down though as it is very much a family favourite.

Visited with family and friends whilst on holiday. Booked the table in advance and played giant draughts and darts whilst waiting for the food. The concept of the place is brilliant, a family eaterie with lots to do i.e. bowling, shooting gallery, games, pool, etc.. My only complaint was it was a Friday evening and it closed at 10.30 so we didn't have time to play bowls as service was a little slow.

We have had many family meals here as the food is so nice! Don't agree with paying an admission fee though as we don't come to use the facilities available.Any games we use e.g air hockey/quiz machine we pay for anyway,so I believe the fee should be scrapped! This might but some customers off that only want to enjoy the food although the charge is small.Lots of games available though and would be a great place for busy children in bad weather.

A well established venue which is very popular with group events where the skittle alley attracts parties both young and old. The restaurant then offers a fine watering hole with some good food, the last time I went it was the sizzle steak that was real go-getter.

Once again we went to Country Skittles, the food was excellent, the skittle game had a few teething problems, like the number of pins knocked down were not adding up correctly,and occasionally the balls would be stuck down the end, the games need to be updated, there was quite a few pieces missing in some of the games we tried to play. Crazy golf by Moonlight, this has to be done it is more fun than in the daytime.

A great place to spend time playing skittles, giant draughts, crazy golf, board games.. the list is endless. The food was delicious! Freshly cooked using quality ingredients. We pre booked our skittles lane and table - can get busy especially if rainy.

What a great place! Loads of games from classic board games, to air hockey and other electronic games, crazy golf and an air rifle range! All this on top of a skittle ally and a good choice of food and drink. Was recommended by someone in the office to give this a visit and they weren't wrong. Spent a very happy few hours playing family board games whilst getting something to eat and was able to keep an eye on the kids playing on the electronic games before giving them a lesson in playing skittles.Good choice of rerasonably priced food for all tastes (including fussy teans!) with friendly, attentive staff giving helpful advice esp about the desertsIts all under cover apart from the crazy golf so is ideal for a British summer - will definitely be back next time we visit the area

Myself and 3 friends visited on Friday for dinner and skittles! Skittles was great fun and we all enjoyed ourselves. We all ordered the steak, good size portions and value for money. However, my only complaint is the desserts - very disappointing! My 3 friends ordered "death by chocolate" and let's just say it wasn't going to kill them off, 2 mouthfuls and the dessert was gone, extremely small portions and the cake was dry. I ordered the raspberry crush which I sent back due to finding a hair!! Overall a good evening just can't rate the desserts!

Visited with my partner and the kids and had a great time, been before and the kids always have a great time with the bowling and the arcade and the shooting. Food was great, and the staff were very friendly. Food was a vast improvement on the last time we ate here. Would visit again.

Looking for somewhere to go an a Saturday evening, that combines a bit fun and some good wholesome food. But not having been here for many years was not really knowing what to expect. We chose to book a skittle lane for 7pm and eat at 8pm. We arrived at reception area where the staff confirmed our booking and explained that they would take our food order prior to skittling so that food was ready on completion. We were told our table was in the bar area with a reserved sign on it, it would have been nice to be shown to where our table was but we found it quite easily. At 7pm we left our table to go to skittle alley, via the reception desk where we placed our food order. You may have to wait if other people are arriving or paying for their orders. Skittles is bookable by the half hour, with a discounted second half hour if wanted. We were a party if 4 and booked the hour. This was about right to allow for completion of our game. Back to dining, and a drink which was reasonably priced and comparable to normal pub pricing. The food came which was hot, well cooked and presented and not short on portion size.Other things on offer here are, pool tables, crazy golf, rifle range and table board games.We had a good evening out which was fun in a relaxed environment.

I've been to this place several times over several years and it's always been very good. latest visit was poor. I ordered nachos reasonable portion size and a good amount of melted cheese however! the salsa & guacamole were tiny portions & lasted about two dips of the nachos, not good. I ordered an 8oz skittles Yankee burger they brought me a 12oz which was more expensive & more food than I wanted. So I immediately went & told the member of staff working behind the bar that I'd like it changing his reply "you'll have to tell the girl in reception I only work behind the bar" now if he was rushed off his feet serving people drinks I'd understand, but the place was empty, he then continued doing nothing!!!. So I began to eat my meal one side of one of the burgers was burnt the other was ok! I ate what I could, actually I ate what I could stomach because it was very poor. I'm not one for leaving food but I just didn't feel like eating it due to the quality. The waitress then came to clear the plates I said I wasn't happy with the meal & the attitude of the member of staff I'd spoken to & that I'd like to see the manager. At least 45 minutes went by (playing scrabble) no one turned up. So we went to pay this time I spoke to the manageress and explained how disapointed I was. At least she apologised saying the head chef was away and there was new staff in the kitchen but that they should be compitent. I was then refunded the cost of my burger. I'm sorry but I won't be visiting again. Overall service was poor especially from the staff behind the bar, foos was poor for the reasons above. My advice go elsewhere.

We visited in a very large group which they coped with fantastically, food arrived quickly and it was all delicious, especially the lasagne! Portions are lovely and generous. This is great if you have active young children and the staff were all very friendly, plenty to keep you entertained for the evening and the bowling is reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Have been here many times in the past and we always have a great time friendly staff and good quality food. Would recommend booking as it tends to get very busy especially at weekends and school holidays
