Friendly staff, delicious food. Would definitely go again. Nice secret garden too for the summer and deals on through the week.

Staff were holding some food changing/ tasting event down stairs around customers, it was horribly loud, staff shouting and laughing so loud we couldn’t even talk. Very unprofessional, I understand they need to talk to staff and introduce new food etc, but do it out of hours OR close the top floor and do it out the way of paying customers. (We saw when we were About to leave that the whole top floor was available for them to use or send customers up there?!) I’ve literally been listening to it because it’s hard not to hear, saying how things aren’t good value for money at the moment, what customers don’t like, what they are changing to make nicer because they aren’t good atm. All whilst we are eating……We felt stupid just sitting there. Even my young son kept saying why are they shouting so loud over and over again. “Right then guys next dish is a blah blah blah.. are you listening” just terrible atmosphere, ruined our meal. The food wasn’t good either it was cooked within an inch of its life, added a photo, there was no pak Choi and the vegetables had zero colour except for the broccoli which was green, it just made it more obvious how overcooked it was. Son got a rash on his face after eating a plant based burger with there ketchup, they tried to say it was allergies but he has none, we have a restaurant near us that’s the same chain as the Truro lounge in leicester that’s 10x better, same menu etc no reactions, very bizarre. We received full refund.

I am a regular visit to the lounge. I would give them five stars and everything. It's just my preference to have table ordering with a person rather than having to go up. Apart from that everything is really good from the food, service and atmosphere.

Iv never had food poisoning Iv had 6 amazing burgers from this establishment.. when I got to.7, I had the worst shots, my ass bleed. When I asked the staff what hat changed ed. They said "the chef". They looked about 16 and just fired from McDonald's So...they hire children, fodd was OK Is, but iv seen some foreigner come into kitchen .3 weeks ago, I'd have recommended. 2 minutes ago Eat the food at your own risk .terrible place. The service is also kinder egg style So where I'm from, you go find a table, and give the number for reference of serving.. The staff bless them , just say give me your table number and come back to collect your food. 1.its a restaurant.. I would like to be served 2...being served by a spotty failed university failed student is hard enough as her saying "we don't got mayo" and no other expression.. The vault is awful.

Came in the lounge today. Not one hello even when I went to the counter to order. I had one smile from the manager serving me. Ordered and received food, chicken over cooked. I never received a guest check back. I than ordered dessert and did not even get any eye contact from the other manager a male. A little confused by today as normally it’s good in here. I felt like I should not be in there. I have reservations about re turning after today.

You've got to eat here. Not cheap but well worth the price.

Been to Truro on many occasions but never knew it had a "Lounge." And bizarrely, it has been here for over 10 years !! Always a cut above the rest, this place did not disappoint. Nice ambience and situated over 2 floor's it is very cosy and welcoming. We just had toast and marmite/jam with their always delicious skinny latte's. Nice building in a nice town....

BRINNER....yes folks all day breakfast...and I mean all day....late into the evening....Boooom...breakfast for dinner with a pint....winning....downside is its in truro which is dead and pants

Arrived and wasn’t told that food would be taking a while also wasn’t told that there was basically nothing left on the menu , when food arrived my Mac and cheese was extremely dry and overall a massive disappointment, very cute place but I wish we where told how long the wait was for food and considering the wait it was not worth it or worth £40

Really nice little pub, tucked away with nice big open windows on the ground floor to watch the world go by with a cocktail

The drink was really good. The fries were delicious but there was no fish finger sandwich and the bar staff that did my order should be told off.

Everything was perfect on our visit. The staff were very busy but VERY helpful, efficient and all had smiles. Highly recommended and will be visiting again next time I'm in Truro.

It was a busy restaurant which is always a good sign and the waitress told us there was a 30 min wait on food. That wasn't an issue for us but obviously good to be informed. I had the lounge breakfast which was good, the girls all had the Kiev burger which they all loved. Place had a great vibe loved the large paintings everywhere. Looked even better upstairs.

Went here for dinner with a group of 13 of us and a dog which they kindly accommodated on short notice, the staff were very friendly. They informed us there would be a bit of a wait for food as there were 2 other large parties at the time. You get the menus at the table and then order food and drinks from the bar area, which was a bit of a wait there as well as there was only one person taking the orders. You also don't get an itemized receipt just a total paid. When the food arrived we did have to remind the server about missing parts of our order and they didn't really seem sure of what they were doing tbf. The food.. was delicious I had the Nasi Goreng which I highly recommend, others had a mixture of different foods, burgers and breakfasts which they all said was very nice. The atmosphere was good until the wait staff turned the music up to a point it was too loud to hold a conversation on the table which is why we have not got full star ratings as other than that can't fault the place.

Good variety in menu. Some meals were great, others fell way short. Too much coriander on EVERY meal Waited far too long for drinks both in app and at bar. It want bust but staff seemed flustered. Manager was doing her best to be accommodating though.

Good food . Reasonable price and good service

All food came out together but one had been under a heat lamp for hours as the chicken burger was dry,uneadable and impossible to cut with a knife my family had finished there dinner by the time mine arrived £75 to eat my dinner on my own. Conco lounge in Newquay is way better the staff are friendly unlike Truro. Asked about blue light card discount and I was told it wasn't accepted by who seemed to be the manager but after checking it's accepted if you order at the bar but not accepted if you order online which is what I was told to do at the time.

The Lounge is my go to place to eat! Affordable, relaxed and family friendly, and most importantly, my dairy free and gluten free intolerant body can actually eat delicious food! Falmouth Lounge the day before forgot to add my avocado to my all day breakfast and I didn't realise until it was too late, and the Truro restaurant kindly added it on today for me (as she was a staff member from Falmouth). Visited with friends on February 16th.

I went here for salsa lessons. The staff were amazing throughout so will come back for dinner or drinks in the future.

Just had lunch there , what a huge disappointment. Definitely would not recommend and won't be back.

A visit to Truro to buy some towels at M and S decided to have Baguettes, this a very busy restaurant and time from order to table might be a problem if in a hurry.They were very nice and we did asked for our hot drinks for when we had eaten the Baguettes which we never had to ask for as the young man brought them straight away. We always have this snack at the The Set in the Tennis Club in Newquay and theirs is better presentation and price is lower.I hnow Truro will always change a higher price but Presentation is key to people returning.

Food and drinks were all very tasty and delicious

The haloumi burger was great and the fries were perfectly salted. Nice up and downstairs seating. You can order at bar or scan QR codes and order online. Worth every penny.

Went in after shopping for revitalising g&t, then decided to eat. Had coconut prawn noodles, partner had chicken /bacon salad, both very good, if a little overpriced for quantity. Pleasant staff, nice atmosphere. Upstairs, a nice open terrace area. BTW, toilets really swish and clean.

No human contact at all. No one said hello, or tried to help seat us, food ordered on app, no one spoke when bringing food or checked we had cutlery, ( we didn't have any) no one cleared plates. Staff didnt to even talk to each other. Miserable place but burgers good....great if you hate people.

Had lunch today) many customers, waiters do not have time to clean. The wait for dessert was very long, well, very long, it was brought with a dirty spoon. I went and changed it. The waiters are friendly, but there is a lot of work. The hot brownie was divine!!! I highly recommend it

have been before so was looking forward to this visit went with friends from work, I have to say staff friendly but the food was only Luke warm, I had a portion of fries that were so small you could see bottom of the tiny bowl. my friend had the banoffee pie at £7.25 a slice it was so small we thought it was a child's portion! I would of been embarrassed as the server to present that to a customer. You could buy a whole pie for that. although my dessert carrot cake was fine and really tasty lovely latte as well all in all Just disappointed so much so we probably won't be returning :(

Visited last night for dinner before meeting up with friends. As soon as you enter, the welcome is fantastic. Every member of staff were friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Food was delicious - Hubs had a burger, I had the beetroot & feta wrap. Its just such a shame that the family who were dining in there at the time allowed their 3 children to scream, run around & in & out. They had no control over their children & its not enjoyable litening to high pitched screaming whilst trying to eat. Ours are now grown up & we had similar many years ago - take them outside & explain its not acceptable & re-enter only when they stop. This young girl was not in a highchair, she was about 7! Think the staff were relieved when they left as we all were!!

Better, than other restaurants, visited all over the U.K, including the capital London. 'The Truro Lounge', for me, is the place to go, for good quality food and drinks, service and atmosphere. Fantastic, menu and a truly professional understanding of allergies.

The place is nice and like the aesthetic so that’s only positive part I can give. However I was really disappointed with the service the staff really didn’t care to keep the place clean and tidy and were very rude. The food was boring and tasteless and costs were ridiculous for a meal. I’m aware as many of us are that we’re in cost of living crisis but the staff could be better and more welcoming instead of having an attitude and put more effort to make service better. Sort it out

Brilliant place to eat, so many good choices on the menu, caters for kids even has a games section with books ect to keep children entertained. Has 2 floors but didnt have to wait long for food. Staff were very freindly and the place was clean. Great prices

I came in around 1pm on the 18th and had a very lovely experience, the service was excellent. I was served by a very friendly and helpful tall man who made me feel very welcomed and made we want to come back again with my family!

A good staple go-to place for drinks, brunch or a bite to eat. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is usually good . Prices are reasonable and food is tasty. Food can sometimes take a while to prepare, and not always consistently as good each time: can be a little hit&miss. For instance, the poached eggs can either be runny or overcooked. The whole place needs a bit of an overhaul, and feels a little dingy and not as fresh and clean as it could.

Don't order the soup. Best advice I can give. Had to actually ask for a spoon as they only gave us knives and forks AFTER we'd ordered. That was already a red flag. You'd like to think they should have known what cutlery was needed for it but when it came I realised the waiting on staff was correct. My mushroom soup could have easily been eaten with the fork. It tasted like blitzed mushroom, garlic and stock cubes. There was no cohesive flavour. The whole thing was a disaster . The ciabatta that was given along side was floury and doughy. Like it could have used a bit more time in the oven. If you want butter for it I guess you can ask. I should have but really couldn't be bothered after it eventually turned up. It made a very uncomfortable lunch date. I will not ever go back and I will not recommend this place Sorry

Disgusting and disgraceful. I'm experienced in working in the cleaning industry...short staffed or not , every body must do their very best which didn't happen here , tables needed emptying and cleaning. My friend was giving their meal without cutlery so had to eat the breakfast meal with their hands , begs belief , my husband checked for cutlery but none available , meals should come with cutlery... I've worked in far busier and I know you all failed to do a good standard, infact you should all be replaced ...I'm now disabled..and my home is still kept tidy by me because I still have the same mind set I had years ago ...

Stumbled across this place as we were looking for some brunch and it didn’t disappoint. The menu is so extensive and they have additional menus for gluten free and vegan which is very helpful. Very spoilt for choice. The restaurant itself is nice, we sat upstairs and ordered on the app to which both the food and drinks came out quite quickly. Food was delicious and a nice treat!

Service was very slow waited over a hour fir lunch when it arrived the good was cold, staff apologised but didn't feel enough was done shoukd have offered free meal or goffee but nothing.

Convenient location, wheelchair accessible with really helpful cheerful staff. Drinks served quickly and nicely done. Ordered food using really easy QR code. Absolutely lovely burger and fries, really tasty and well presented very prompt service. Met with a sizable work related group all accommodated and looked after well. Overall a great experience wish it was closer to home but I'm definitely bringing my wife here for a meal. Thanks for making our evening very special, T.

No garlic on the garlic bread, I tried to approach a member of staff to let him know and he didn’t say anything and walked away, appalling! Never coming back again.

Great place in Truro to stop by for some food and drinks. Really cosy atmosphere on a dark winters afternoon with all of the lights on. Food was great too and felt like good value for money. The staff were super friendly apart one girl who looked like she’d rather be dead than serving on the bar! Will definitely visit again and see if the above mentioned has cheered up.

Incredible customer service....Bryony really helpful .... extremely patient assisting me with choices from their gluten free menu which in itself is a refreshing change from the norm! I used to dine here frequently a few years back and I’ve been dying to visit for a few months now! I got my hopes up last week but we stupidly hadn’t booked and they were full up (normally a good sign) so today I had the opportunity to pop in with a friend, took the opportunity, very much looking forward to it and I’d raved about it to my friend.. sadly followed by a big disappointment. The service on bar great, drinks made and served promptly, we were told to find a table and either order with code or go to bar, all fine by us. Long process with using the online system, lots of lagging etc so had to get up after a couple attempts and order at the bar, again great service no problem. After 2 tables receiving food more promptly than us we waited it out. I’d only ordered 2 tapas (meatballs, beef quesadillas) my friend had the lamb flatbread. - portions were tiny, for £4.80 (you only save £1.65 ordering 3, not much of a saving) a dish I’d get more from a Tesco meal deal, and probably be more satisfied to be honest the quesadillas were basically just wet onion and the meatballs were tiny and only 3 of them smothered in sauce. I asked for a refund straight away. My friend ate her food, but was disappointed to only have 2 cut up bits of lamb and the rest filled with a very chunky salsa.. It basically said to us that they need to save money somewhere.. well don’t we all. But you can’t expect people to spend that of hard earned money and deliver something so poor.. Won’t be back.

Went to the Truro Lounge on Sunday, best Maccaroni Cheese I have had,coffee was also good,every time in the future when I go to Truro,i will be back for more Maccaroni Cheese.

Brilliant time for the day out with the family

Waited to be seated although no sign saying so .When seated was told there would be a 30 minute wait for food. This was no problem do ordered food and drink on the app/website and paid. Drinks came promptly food a little earlier than expected. Yet again the good was warm not hot although still very tasty. Overall a nice lunch on a busy Christmas eve.

My personal details were leaked and I received multiple cold calls and notifications of someone attempting to log into my online banking. I raised this with the manager who said she would pass it on. I didn’t hear anything for 4 weeks so chased and asked to speak to someone else. That same day the feedback team got in touch with me and essentially told me it wasn’t them it was me. Utterly shocked at this response and will not be returning. Be aware that if you scan the QR code on the table to order you may be subject to a data security breach. You will then be given a rude response in return for raising this. Unbelievable.

Slow service. Cold food but tasty

Food was cold time it arrived and toilets had no loo roll overall poor service. Staff seemed to want to chat each other more than serve and help which is a pitty as usually it’s a good place.

We stopped for a quick bite and had the spinach & mushroom and salmon egg muffins, which were very tasty. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and we really enjoyed it. The staff is nice and the atmosphere very pleasant with a well decorated interior. The music was a bit too loud considering there was not a lot of customers inside, but it wasn't too annoying. We will gladly come again!
