We were camping just down the road this past weekend and decided to have a browse - I'm glad we did as there was much more to this farm shop than I was expecting. Lots of different produce and gifts type things all quite nicely set out. Some things were sensibly priced considering you do expect to pay a slight premium at a farm shop (postcards 50p, fresh scones £1, clotted cream £1.99), but some of the prices were a little shocking - there were loaves of fresh bread at £4.50 and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price of ice cream being served at the side of the car park! Overall a worthwhile trip - the scones were delicious, good selection of ciders and got some lovely warm slipper socks. I'd recommend popping in if you're passing (the views are fantastic too) just don't expect any bargains.

So many different things are available from fresh veg and meat to local beers and even dog toys. The ice cream was pretty good too. There is a lovely cafe out the back with a stunning view of the sea so definitely worth a visit.

Interesting farm shop to browse with some lovely products. Cafe excellent and well priced. Badly let down by the portaloo toilets which are never pleasant at the best of times but on this occasion were completely disgusting. Sort the toilets and would be 5 star.

Disappointing visit after previous good ones. Bought some nice, but hideously expensive, vegetables. Bought take away coffee which was undrinkable and we threw away at our next stop. The toilets facilties however were disgusting, 4 portaloos, three of which which overflowing with toilet paper, horrendous smell and no proper washing facilities, just hand gel. Surely those sitting in the garden alongside the portaloos could not have enjoyed their experience We have used this place a dozen times or more, but never again

MORE AT TripAdvisor

This is a fantastic location for a farm shop, with a lovely garden and stunning views of the rural Dorset countryside. Coffee and cake is good too - although is to be consumed outdoors with some under cover seating. The reason for the very low score is purely due to the toilet and, specifically, hand washing (or should I say lack of hand washing) facilities. The outdoor portaloo facilities offer a hit and miss toilet experience at best but only hand sanitiser. There is no tap and soap. Pretty disgusting given that people are expected to be able to eat food after using the facilities. For goodness sake, please install a simple outdoor tap and soap.

Wow gone down hill… Portaloos were absolutely disgusting and stank. We were not the only ones saying how disgusting and degrading they were. Carpark well this is pot hole heaven so be careful. The prices are hiked right up since last visit last year . Sausage bap was ok and hot but at £5.50 for a cheap white roll and two sausages standards gave slipped. Best part is the view.

This used to be a favourite spot but sadly no longer. The quality of food served in cafe has diminished and there is no longer anywhere to sit down and eat it. Worse than anything though is the closing off of the inside toilet. This has now been replaced with outside portaloos ...ugh! This is a farmshop not a building site. Never again.

We stopped en route to Bridport from Lyme having been recommended by a local after a dog walk around the nearby Golden cap estate. There are some very good cheeses, I picked the Isle of White Blue and a Dorset Brie, along with local farm produced bacon and sausages. I was sorry to have missed out on the Hix oysters, but there is a very good choice of a wide range of goodies. As farm shops go this is a cut above the norm. The loos are a bit basic but then all porta loos are a bit Spartan. The café looked fine (busy) but we were in transit for lunch and did not indulge.

We drove from Bournemouth today to shop in the farm shop, as we have done many times over the years to have lunch and enjoy a good day out. We won’t be back again.

Our family have shopped here many times spending a considerable amount. We arrived in two cars just after the shop had closed ( earlier than previous visits). A scowling woman started closing gate to car park whilst we were discussing at sensible distance where to go instead. We had just swapped our sewing endeavours for NHS and wanted to shop as usual but weren't even given opportunity to explain. It's overpriced but now we will be voting with our feet as don't appreciate animosity especially in these circumstances.

Messy shop, lots of non-local food, pointless cafe and generally feel they have missed a trick. Definitely wouldn't recommend or go back. Dorset has so much local food to offer so I don't expect to see biscuits from Lancashire and stuff I can buy cheaper in a supermarket.

Live locally and was pleased to see they stocked Earl Grey Tick Tock tea bags about 3 months ago. I bought a couple of boxes then at £2.07, a few weeks later they went up to £2.20 and now £2.75. I see the other varieties of Tick Tock have remained at the old price, it is a strange logic to put the price up just because you have a customer. Sorry, I will go back to buying them on eBay, you don't deserve my custom.

I came here with my boyfriend this Sunday just gone for a snack and they had ran out of all but one of the pastries so my boyfriend had the steak pasty which was fine and when I purchased a pasty from the fridge, the miserable girl refused to heat it up and I said that’s fine I don’t mind eating it cold - that want a problem until I started to eat it without realising it was raw and the girl didn’t even inform me it had to be cooked first despite knowing that I was about to eat it. Luckily I realised it didn’t taste right and saw it had to be cooked first and stopped eating it otherwise I could’ve got food poisoning. It’s a very nice farm shop it’s just a shame the staff are miserable.

Avoid this farm shop like the plague. I live locally, and decided to pop in. Not only are the price’s somewhat over priced, they have the ordacity to make sure that you purchase a minimum of £5 on your chip and pin or contactless, so that they do not burden the cost of the transaction. Seriously £6 for a smallQuiche, are you for real. Yet another shining example of Dorset ripping off not only the locals but also visitors to our beautiful county. Don’t help support this extortion, as all it does is ensure prices and the cost of living is driven up further for everyone living in Dorset. I dare say the staff working in the “Farm shop”, are paid minimum wage. Avoid lining the pockets for the few very wealth extorters of Dorset.

I don’t think I have been treated and spoken to in such a manner in all my born days. There was “cheese & ham” panini on the menu. We asked could we just have ham panini’s. The waitress said “no we just sell them as they are”, assuming that they are pre-made I asked could they simply remove the cheese before toasting them. I explained that if they were unable to remove the cheese we would have to move on somewhere else as my sons can’t have cheese. After 2 trips to the kitchen and lots of eye rolling her response was “I just don’t understand why your son won’t eat the cheese”. Erm .......... because he’s allergic to it!!!!

We called in after an enthusiastic recommendation from friends hoping for somewhere to have a drink and sandwich before continuing on our journey. We were surprised to find that there was nowhere inside - apart from one table - to eat and drink. Luckily, it was fine so we went outside where, admittedly, the coastal views were stunning. Tea came in a cardboard cup and the sandwiches were good if slightly overpriced. Afterwards, we wandered around inside. The produce was good though again we thought it rather expensive and the whole place had a sort of jumbled, overstuffed appearance. Our favourite stopping place - another garden centre just outside Honiton - has more indoor seating, serves the food on plates and the tea comes in cups; the prices are more reasonable too so we won't be visiting Felicity's again.

Popped in on journey from Southampton to Cornwall. Just needed a bacon roll and coffee. Bacon roll was possibly the best ever had. Fresh made roll gently toasted and farm bacon. Oh so nice. Code from an Italian lavazza type machine s week. No rubbish.

Stopped for a look at the farm shop which was pretty poor. Bought a slither of Victoria Sponge for £2.50 which was minuscule. The rest of the shop was either overpriced or had produce from far and wide.

I've driven past this farm shop so many times, but visited today for coffee, sandwich & pasty. A wise decision.

Stopped here to pick up a quick cup of lovely Dorest Tea for me, a coffee for the hubby and a cold drink for my teenage son. Picked up a couple of meat pasties as well (all take-out). Quick service, not badly priced and plenty of room in the car park (with a caravan on the back too!). It's the 3rd time we've been here. It has a 'market' feel to it. Lovely fresh veg and fruit on display and some amazing looking 'home baked' pastries, cakes, pizzas, quiches, pies etc. on display. Given the proximity to a busy road, would be helpful to have customer toilets.

This place looked enticing from the road and we would have bought food for a few days but choice disappointing and vegetables past their best eg carrots rubbery. The layout was not great with a whole area of dark and wasted space which seemed to be selling gifts. We bought a pie which was good but our only choice was ham and leek, we were not there too late on a Sunday so chicken, beef etc would have been better. Didn't feel like there was much to buy to indulge ourselves which was a shame given we were on holiday.

My wife and I, on a journey from France to South Devon, decided to stop off at this place for a cup of coffee, and to use the toilet. We stopped here for ease of parking.

We're on a walk and came upon this place . Very well stocked every thing you could possibly want in a farm shop . I asked about maps as we were following Julia Bradburys ,walk with a view . The owner showed me the maps but then said she could easily show me the route . She very kindly spent about 10 minutes showing me the route across the fields. I think the previous reviewer must have caught them on a bad day, as they couldn't have been more helpful to us.

On business Portsmouth to Plymouth Following a long day driving to Portsmouth, meetings and return with a colleague. Pushed on believing it was worth the wait to stop for coffee in what looks like a lovely location, it has kerb appeal.

A lovely spot and some nice fare inside. Any warm feeling soon dissipated when we met the lady behind the food counter. Was very curt when refusing to heat a wrapped quiche (the rules, apparently) but it was the expression like a bulldog chewing a wasp that was most offputting. Charmless. Could do better

Stopped on mid afternoon for a a few items including 00 flour ( not available) and found an astonishingly wide array of fruit and veg, dairy and other farm good....all great stuff. English wine was one of the more unusual items. Cafe was a bit disappointing with just a few cakes and not much food mid afternoon. Stocks food that you simply wouldn't see outside a farm shop. Well worth a visit.

We stopped here for lunch and our food was delicious and reasonably priced. Shame there was nowhere to sit inside and no customer loo.

What a lovely little place this is. It sells all manner of produce and gifts as well as some clothing. It is easy to drive past but once found it is never forgotten. We stop here for the bacon bap every time we visit West Bay or travel in this direction. Service is fast and friendly. Food is just like that cooked at home. Prices are really reasonable. Lots of parking. Outside tables if the weather is right. Its not the Ritz but just a really nice friendly place to have a break. Highly recommend.

I've been stopping here for years for a snack or a bag of goodies. The 'staff only' loo has always been irritating but the removal of the cafe furniture is ridiculous. We left with no shopping as we now had to go and eat lunch in the car as it was raining. On our return journey we didn't even stop. You need a serious re-think here guys; I probably would have spent £50 and may not visit again.

Lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff. Pricey at £350 B&B with very average rooms but good breakfast, although service very slow. Sadly not accessible for those with mobility disorders as no lift, steep stairs and few accessible bathrooms However, marvellous for lunch or dinner on a day out

We had a great dinner at the Arts Club. The food was wonderful, the staff were excellent and, being a lovely summer evening, we dined outside in the pretty and surprisingly quiet courtyard.

Ate here Friday evening three of us had wood fired pizzas which were delicious, pleasant staff as always. On the Saturday two of us visited for lunch. We had crab sandwiches with a mixed leaf salad, they were tasty enough but £11 seems too much...

after a wind blown swim in the sea we decided we wanted some comforting food and hot drinks - initially sat right on the front of the patio and the lady in charge was there in a mo with menus and a brush to wipe sand off the table top - we decided it was still to windy there, so moved back against cafe wall. Orders quickly taken - food wasn't fast, but my golly when it came it was fresh and delicious - from bacon sandwiches to american pancakes and bacon - all piping hot and full of flavour.

My wife and I went to a kiosk to get a burger and chips. The neighbouring business offered local produce but were closed so we went to the Ships Galley. I asked the staff where the beef was from for the burgers (which I don’t think is unreasonable) and was told ‘From a cow’. After that I had fish and chips which was good apart from saying they charge for napkins. Unfortunately the person behind the counter was a tennager with attitude who proceeded to tell the other person the amusing come back comment. I won’t be using the Ships Galley again.
