Great pub friendly staff is always worth a visit for us.

One of the best lunches I’ve had out in Dorset . I ordered the fish and chips, the size portion was ample. The fish was fresh and cooked perfect, it was lovely and flakey 😍

Vicky and Sean really looked after our family. I can highly recommend the mixed grill, where all the meats were succulent and cooked to perfection. The kids meals were very generous and I highly recommend.

Staff are great and the food is always brilliant. Really nice place to chill with the family and have food! 👌

Great pub for food and drinks, and to catch up with friends over a beer or two for a few hours. Very chilled during the day, friendly staff, and plenty of space and seating. Live sports on with a number of screens around the different areas. Excellent choice of well kept beer as well, and good quality pub grub. Note: price-per-person showing here is what we spent, but that was over a good few hours with food and drinks. Bar and food prices are what you would expect from a pub in town.

It was OK. Left chips as not nice. Didn't like how the food came served, prefer a plate.

Lovely staff, really friendly and helpfull, actually brought my Guinness to the table for me. Ordered a piri pirir chicken jacket and my wife said it was definately tasty but seemed a little stingy on the chicken and would have liked a bit more actual chicken. The sauce was really tasty though and overall it was enjoyed. I had a fish finger sandwich (because I'm ever so posh haha) the bread was clearly cheap white bloomer as it was a little crumbly and the fish fingers themselves where skinny more batter than fish wich was a shame as you need thick decent fish fingers in a fish finger sandwich but that's not what you get. The chips you get with it where faultless and really tasty. Minor points but if I was the chef reading this it would def be something I'd bear in mind. Overall very pleasant lunch time and very clearly a warm and friendly family pub... 8/10 in my eyes. If your in town stop in you won't be let down

Great location with some sun late in garden in the afternoon / evening. Food was good and service excellent.

food arrived quickly and freshly cooked from the professional staff, it was just enough for lunch at a more than acceptable price. I also had great viewing of the Olympics with their many screens, they also had horse racing ( which was fun, as I won )

Lodging at one of the rooms, we decided to stay for dinner and did not regret it. They serve good traditionnal english pub dishes such as steack and ale pie, with a very good quality/price ratio. Good beer too. The full english breakfast the next morning was also very nice.

I can't thank the guys enought for what they did. They went out of their way to post a jacket that I left behind. Also would like to add that they serve a great breakfast.

My wife and I popped in for a quick bite to eat, and seriously regretted it, we had 3 small plates, the mac and cheese was the worst we have ever had anywhere, the piri chicken wing's were undercooked, so just left, disgusting.

A nice place to drink, the wine is over priced nasty vinegar... But minus that it's a lovely intimate fun sports bar loads of games on! The staff are lovely and I always have fun. The food isn't great but not awful it won't make you sick. It just disappointing and the 5.99 little starters are a rip off avoid them!

This will be our new go to place ... amazing tasty food and very reasonable priced too, can't fault it ... friendly staff. Really worth popping in.....

As a woman on her own it’s quite daunting going into a pub on your own, I found all of the staff helpful and friendly.As I have a dog sometimes it’s difficult to find somewhere to eat but they have an area where you take your dog. I had a roast which was really tasty and reasonably priced quite a varied menu available. I would recommend a visit.

Because of this pub we missed watching the Southampton Leeds Wembley playoff final! We booked a table, with the specific instructions on having a view of a TV from our table. When we arrived at the pub no such table was available and in fact they didn’t have any table reserved for us and so we left the pub feeling very annoyed and couldn’t find anywhere else in Dorchester to watch the game. Very disappointing and bad vibes from other customers in the pub too.

I can’t talk enough about how brilliant these guys are. Customer service was brilliant and the food was fantastic!! I called in here for lunch and a drink with my daughter and was very pleased with our choice. The quality of the food was delicious! Roast dinner was not worth it and the cow burger was burnt and the fries were cold 1 star is to much for this place will not come here again

This lovely pub in the heart of Dorchester has become a regular for my friends and I. Every now and then I will get some food from here and each time it is just as delicious as last time. Yesterday I went for the lunch deal and from start to finish the staff were very friendly. There is an ambience to this spot that really makes it stand out to me.

Short break in Dorchester. We had roast beef at The Junction yesterday & the pie & beer deal today. Great food & very friendly helpful staff. Half price Directors on Monday went down well !

Called in on the 17th of April 2024 ,I had prawn cocktail very cheap prawns tiny amount of lettuce ,hardly any cucumber no tomatoes,hubby had surf & turf steak good but chips looked like reheated ,kids had sausages mash peas ,peas were hard & mash looked all dried out & reheated ,Also other meal was chicken dippers ,chips & beans couldn't eat beans totally dried out & over heated when I said to the lady she said yeah kids meals arnt great how unprofessional & not what I wanted to hear , definitely not returning A waste of money as kids couldn't eat it also sausages overheated as hard

Accommodation not very good very tired one pillow each door which could be kicked in ...were outside Accommodation TV couldn't even work it very basic for 100 for one night. In respect food good and lovely attentive staff but was freezing whist having breakfast as manager left door open in morning. Staff lovely Food good Seems a good pub But Accommodation needs looking at And nonwont be staying there again not for 100 quid

Walking around Dorchester and took refuge in the junction from the rain, and glad we did the beer was super cheap and decided to have a sharer plate to eat.

We visit every time we are visiting my inlaw who lives at dorchester. Great pub disabled access, spacious, great food. Friendly staff.

We called in form lunch with family who live locally. The staff were very welcoming and there was a good choice of food. Service was swift and friendly. The six meals were all really nice. We will certainly call in again when we are next down.

Great food, recommend the ultimate spicy burger, though I had it without the maple syrup. My sister had the club sandwich and said it was good also.

Clean, spacious Food was good, 2 people had the Sirloin steak medium but came out more well done so they didn't eat much of it

Fantastic staff that served with a smile on their face. Even went found me the Wales v Poland game to watch on the TV. Top venue.

Went with my partner as a treat/to celebrate his moving in. Found the staff very welcoming and friendly. I requested a dairy free option for desert and they went above and beyond to cater for my dietary needs. Food was cooked perfect nothing was over or undercooked our time felt relaxing and calming which for me being autistic is needed will definitely be returning for another meal and have recommended to family.

We had our Christmas do here for work, as soon as we entered we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Throughout the whole experience the staff were welcoming and helpful. The food came quickly and was to a very good standard. I must commend the bar staff throughout the whole experience as we all had a few drinks and they just made the whole experience better. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good meal and to socialise and have a few drinks afterwards. 9/10

Food is good quality, for the price. Toilets could do with a ripp out and start again, though .

Lovely friendly pub with amazing food. We seeked shelter from the pouring rain with our very sad dog in tow. All given a warm welcome. Nice atmosphere with music playing. We ordered a mega mixed grill and took advantage of the selection of the day burger and drink deal. Was so tasty. Juicy burgers and heaps of fries to go with it. My husband's mixed grill was equally as nice and the extra sausages went to our pooch. Would highly recommend eating here and we've all left warm and full. Thank you so much and we'll see you again soon! X

Perfect venue for a four generation family meal. Great service, food, wine and beer. We also spent the night in a spacious, warm room with very comfortable bed. Delicious full English breakfast and plenty of coffee, toast etc

Surprisingly good food. The chips were excellent and the Bangers and Mash use good quality sausages. The steak was very nice and surprisingly cheap.

went for Xmas dinner on Xmas day . a 3 course meal and it was fantastic. very friendly staff ,couldn't do enough for us. the food was lovely and plentiful. really made for a great Xmas day.

Extremely rude man at the bar, absolutely no customer service skills and got my order incorrect. When the food came, the chips were cold and the burger bun was hard as a rock. Really disappointed

Ate here on Thursday and tried out their steak deal. Well worth the money. Landlord was friendly and helpful, gave some good local recommendations as we are new to the area. Will definitely be returning.

Large town pub and restaurant in the heart of Dorchester. Offers sports on a big screen and great beer but also offers a quieter area for dinning. Staff are very welcoming. Recommended 👍

Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you all. Accommodation very tired and seriously in need of upgrade. Cleanliness - more attention to detail needed. Marston's brewery need to visit this site to see for themselves and approve upgrade. Unfortunately as the accommodation is at this time we would not book a return visit.

Staff were very welcoming and hospitable, food was superb, offered a grazing menu so if you didn't want a big lunch it was great, my husband had the steak which was done to perfection marvellous choice of ales, wines and ciders, nothing was too much trouble, staying in Weymouth went to Dorchester, really vibrant atmosphere, on a cold wet day you can't get a better place to stop for lunch than the junction hotel/pub/restaurant

The junction was lovely the staff were very accommodating and helpful . One of our party was gluten free so we were happy that there was a dedicated menu . Would definitely go again.

Room was clean and tidy, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food was spot on, I would definitely stay here again very traditional 5 stars.

As a local business we are fortunate to have The Junction Hotel near to us for lunches and after work drinks. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, no matter what time of the day. Menu choices are varied and the portion sizes ample. There is a wide range of draught beers, lagers and ciders. Bottled options are available, and a variety of spirits and soft drinks. This place ticks all the boxes for us as you have the options of seating in the restaurant or in the sports bar area. This gives you the choice of a quiet or a slightly louder area. I have no hesitation in recommending this well run town centre business.

Wow. I’ll tell you something, the owner and his family have started to smell lovely in the last six months!! Lifts the place right up.

Effectively a Sports bar with football on everywhere you turned ( I like football but I came for a drink ) It makes for a lively place though. I had a Budweiser & it was off ! Nuff said .

Found 20 quid down the side of their sofa, put it in the slot machine and took out 160!! Next round’s on me bois 🍾🥂

Great service in this pub, good prices, good Sunday roast!! A variety of vegetarian options. Always quick service at the bar with great staff! 🙂
