The best restaurants in South West

We hired a private dining room for our Christmas Day lunch. It could not have been better. Pure indulgence of the highest quality. We had pre lunch drinks served in an adjoining private lounge, a meal that was absolutely delicious and served with the utmost care and professionalism accompanied by outstanding wine and champagne 🥂. The staff had decorated our room with a beautiful tree and laid crackers for all eight of us. The Manor House, both surroundings and atmosphere, are stunning and we utterly recomnend visiting, eating, or staying there. You won't forget it's charm and beauty.

We came in for an impromptu lunch towards the end of service. We were served by Ruby who was really warm, friendly and welcoming, the service was 5 star and the food delicious. Will definitely come again

I have been going here for more than 10 years. I used to bring my kids here when they were little, and even now they still love it. Always good food and great service.

If you want a decent burger in St Ives, Blas is the only place to go. We’ve been several times and cannot fault it. Best burgers we’ve ever had.

Lovely resteraunt just outside Barnstaple. Fish and chips lovely.

We went as a couple; Tuesday evening. The food was very ordinary; but the service was good. The king prawn dish I had, appeared to be made with frozen prawns and the spicing was not right. Unfortunately, a miss for me; but lovely people running the place.

We've visited quite a few pubs over the years, and especially since moving (back) to Cornwall, 20+ years ago. We both think that this is as near a perfect pub as you can find and in every way - outside kerb appeal, history, "proper" pub inside, ambiance, gcracking beers, amazing quality food and wonderfully pleasant (normal) staff. I think it's my idea of Heaven.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and the fact that the gluten free burgers tasted lovely.

Our flight was 12:35, we got here just after 11:00, wanting a coffee and a bacon roll, no deal, they'd stopped doing breakfast! Not happy!

Service was excellent and food was delicious as usual. Air dried tuna 10/10. Six dishes, bread, bottle of wine and coffees between 3 people for £35 ish per person feels very reasonable. Always so lovely

We were walking past and the Terrace looked very inviting, so we went in and were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. The food, drink, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. A great evening after a very rainy day in North Devon! We'll definitely visit the next time we are in town and recommend to our friends.
