We recently had the gin tasting experience at Bristol Spirit with Sam from Espensen Spirit. Sam was absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience so enjoyable, she had us laughing from start to finish and her infused gins and vodkas were lovely. My personal favourite was the rhubarb and custard vodka! Thank you for a brilliant day Sam, we would most definitely recommend you.

Been here a number of times, where we have been treated to a number of varying food pop ups. Cocktails here are among the best in Bristol and the service is great. Pop ups have all been good, some great.

Volveremos pronto!

We came in a group and the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable, and the place had a very cosy, family feel. The alcohol on offer was great and made a difference from the usual alcohol you find in most places, with some unusual beers on offer that are extremely tasty. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this place for groups that want a nice, welcome family feel and something a bit different alcohol wise

Bristol spirit is the place for cocktails in east Bristol. They have pop up food vendors that constantly change so the food menu is always fresh. The owner Sam is an absolute star and has the cutest dog in the world. The place in general is a must visit and if you’re lucky enough to live close it is the perfect place to call your local. Staff 10/10, food 10/10 booze 10/10 sausage dogs 10/10.

This place is amazing, the place is cool but 100% unpretentious. The locals love it! The food is great and the cocktails which are apparently made with their own fruit infused gin and vodka are not to be missed. The staff and owner are so friendly helpful and fun. One nice thing is that when you sit down they bring you a tap water at the table, and they have a huge choice of soft drinks. When I next visit Bristol I will make point of visiting.

A very cosy bar (which I'm intrigued to learn is available for hire of movie screenings), with a thoughtful selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks which go way above the usual boring and high sugar content combos. I haven't tried the food but heard only good things from very trusted food friends!

Pretentious owner who only wants their customers to buy alcohol. What if they're allergic to alcohol like myself? What if they're trying to lower sugar content in their diet? I should not have to feel that I would ever be shamed if I bought a three course meal and ordered tap water with it, less so if I came with a group of friends. Avoid like the plague

I have eaten and drank here many times over the years. The venue is a lovely cosy little place with very friendly local staff. The cocktails are amazing and I have never had a hangover here despite getting rather drunk a few times. The food changes regularly as they only host pop-up caterers so obviously varies but I have always enjoyed it.

We recieved lovely service and the cocktail menu was extensive and tasted incredible. My husband also really enjoyed the local beer selection available. We will be back, we had so much fun!

Bristol Spirit is a genuine almost hidden gem in Bristol. Almost hidden, because it’s not located in the middle of the City’s hipster areas, yet it has still acquired a reputation for serving brilliant, unique cocktails and hosting some of the finest pop up dining experiences in the region. Not forgetting great one off events, ‘Fleetwood Mac ‘n’ Cheese’ for example. Live sporting events (book a table and stress not about getting a seat or being surrounded by braying buffoons) ‘Brilliant, unique cocktails?’ you say. Indeed they are, using proprietor Sam’s stunning infused gins and vodkas the cocktails here are joys to behold and drink. And they’ll also rustle up their versions of classics too in the unlikely event nothing on the list appeals to you. There’s a well chosen wine list, some excellent local beers and lagers and non-drinkers can always have a tasty mocktail. The ambiance is relaxed, laid back and welcoming at all times. The bar is well thought out and designed, it’s comfortable, the lighting is spot on, the music is just the right volume (and it’s good music too), the decor is vintage in style with enough quirks and original art to prevent it from feeling like any generic hip bar in any city. It feels authentic but reminds me of a favourite bar in Berlin (apologies, that sounds pretentious) in that it doesn’t try to be a fashionista hang out, a hipster heaven or somewhere you go to be seen, it just is. And the staff are just brilliant, unflappable, just chatty enough, and very, very good at what they do. Check opening hours and who’s cooking and check it out.

We went to the afternoon screening of Manma Mia 2 and also had a delicious Greek lunch, which we all enjoyed along with the lovely cocktails. A fun afternoon had by all and as always a very warm welcome from the staff.

Have to review the Tapas menu in November! Exactly what you'd get in spain, massive portions and a great price! I also can't fault the service, great gin and good atmosphere. I go back more regularly due to the pop up kitchen, but you have to try it. I want the Tapas menu more often! Best in a long time! X

A group of 7 of us enjoyed a great night here. The drinks were varied and interesting, as well as very tasty. Mission Pizza had an amazing range of unusual and delicious toppings, the sour dough bases were perfect. The venue is small without feeling cramped and perfect for meeting up with a group. Would definitely visit again.

Went to Friska for lunch with a friend. The dining area was getting full as it was clearly prime time, but there wasn’t a queue and service was efficient and smiley. Atmosphere in this Friska is nice,
