Been a member for over 25 years and seen the Club develop due to the hard work of the members. Lovely club room, good priced bar and regular events, starting to rebuild after the effect of the pandemic. Various membership levels available according to your needs. very friendly atmosphere, and you don't have to be a sailor for membership.

Wow, we loved it here. We were looking for something different for lunch other than a sandwich, and we saw they did cheese boards. We ordered a mezze and a bottle of wine... oh my goodness, this was the best lunch ever. We sat over looking the boats, great people watching spot. The food was amazing, staff very helpful and friendly. We ended up ordering a second bottle of wine. We were there a few hours and would definitely put this as one of the best places to visit for lunch.

Just before Christmas, the Club offered a Christmas lunch option. The food was simply excellent. I had salmon, my wife turkey. The food was superb, with the vegetables tasting fantastic. Starters and puddings were great, although I personally could only manage cheese after gorging on the first two courses. Congratulations to Chef Rob and his team. The service was excellent and at £14 for three courses value for money must be the best in Weymouth. As if that wasn't enough, the sun was shining allowing us to enjoy the fabulous views which must be the best in Weymouth looking out across our wonderful harbour. For anyone who hasn't been it's a great place to relax, and enjoy an excellent Sunday lunch.

Not sure I when or if it is ever open as Iapetus tried on 3 occasions to book for Sunday lunch via email and got a reply stating someone would be in touch but still waiting so called down only to be told by the manager of Delicious a deli come bar on the ground floor , looks a much better option, that if the lights on they’re open but the light never came on and this on a Friday evening seems to sum up the seemingly shambolic running of this establishment!

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Food was great and service good. If you are lucky enough to get one of the many tables overlooking the harbour, the views are wonderful. You can watch the activity in the harbour with a great meal and glass of wine. Highly recommended!

I was surprised and pleased that the Club allows the public to enjoy it's facilities. If you are lucky enough to get a table with a view out over the harbour then you can enjoy their tasty and varied menu whilst watching the comings and goings of this busy harbour. Their home cooked food is varied, very tasty and very reasonable value. Look out for their specials which are excellent deals! Comfortable sofas and a well stocked bar made our visit particularly enjoyable. We shall return!!

Terrible service, didn't hang around to see what the food was like. The place was dead. The one member of staff was unfriendly and practically ignored us when we arrived. We chose this place for dinner based on trip advisor giving it 5 stars. Since another member of our party posted a review and noticing it was promptly deleted, it is clear they are managing feedback to create a false impression.

I have just eaten the best meal in my life so far, we booked this on review only having checked it out on this site prior to leaving home for Weymouth. We arrived and checked the restaurant during in the day and by looking at the entrance I have to say I was a bit put off and thought we might change venue but boy how glad am I that we didn't!! Please please don't let the look of the Royal Dorset Yacht Club put you off. This place is a little treasure, so so glad we checked out the best places to eat prior to our stay here. I had the Scallops with black pudding and chorizo to start followed by the best fish pie i have ever had the pleasure to eating, wow wow wow! If you like fish you have to try it, I promise you won't be disappointed my husband was very envious not that he was disappointed with his steak but the flavours of my pie were something else, you have to try it if you are are a fish lover. We had a bottle of a very good read wine, beers, starters, mains and coffee for under £65 well worth every penny. Thank you simply amazing. Highly recommend!

It was like I visited some friends or even members of family feeling. Great service, extremely friendly and polite. The soup I ate was some carrots soup I never tasted before and was very good although I used to eat carrot soups everywhere, this one was better than ever. Than I had mackerel fish tiny - light battered and light chilli with well decorated and spiced salad and chips. I really enjoyed it, it was quiet and place is located in top location. Highly recommend to visit - as they are Yacht's club, one does not have to have a yacht to join, there is other way to become commercial member.

The setting for this restaurant is lovely, overlooking the harbour on the first floor of the building. Ask for a table by the window. The setting and atmosphere are enjoyable. We visited on a relatively quiet Thursday evening, there was only one waitress working, but she was fantastic, very busy but always smiling and managing very well. Food is good, not great, but overall a decent place for a meal.

Steak and drink at 'Spoons prices. Not a great steak, but beer and dauphinois potatoes excellent. Wife's fish pie not bad. But you're paying for the harbourside location and a certain ambience that even landlubbers can enjoy. Charming and superfriendly service from the solo waitress.

We booked a table for 4pm as we planned to spend the day exploring. They close at 6pm on Sunday and it wasn't a problem. We ordered a roast beef and a roast gammon, with two pints of local summer ale (Smiler). We had a window table overlooking the busy harbour and when the food came, it was excellent. Freshly cooked vegetables, all with great flavour including honey glazed roasted parsnips, roast potatoes and carrots, savoy cabbage and baby leeks (an excellent combination), delicious side dish of cauliflower cheese, yorkshire pud, all served piping hot, nothing over done, the meats were tender and tasty and the gravy delicious and made from stock. Then came the apple crumble, one with custard, the other with cream. Mmmmmm, mmmmm! Great value at £9.95 a head and £3 a pint for the ale. The bar manager / hostess was charming and smiling throughout, helpful and friendly. Great place to relax and read a paper or dine and run.

I have been here many times and it remains a firm favourite of mine. The club has unrivalled views over the old harbour and as such makes a lovely setting for food and drink- mother loves it :-) The venue itself is decorated to an incredibly high standard- I was pleasantly surprised when I visited for the first time. Most importantly, the food is amazing and the prices put many other establishments to shame (the fish Friday's with their choice of batters is a stroke of genius). Highly recommended!
