Thyme out in Weymouth and Portland

A fantastic find. My wife and I plus our two grandchildren had breakfast here every day during our 5 days in Weymouth. The food, cooked to order, was great as was the service and we felt really well looked after there.

Only just found this gem of a cafe,glorious home cooked food,friendly staff and great value for money,homemade cottage pie, delicious,bubble and squeak with your breakfast,treat myself every week here and will be doing so for long time i should think.

Great service and lovely breakfast washed down with excellent coffee. Budget friendly too!

Just had a very tasty breakfast freshly cooked and quality ingredients, plenty of fried bread. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place, great food , great service

Now this place is a little secret gem of a place. Brilliant service with a smile and giggles. Well cooked and fresh and very well priced food that caters for most people's taste and diet. Also a very very well presented and very clean cafe. I will no longer be going to the William Henry Wetherspoon's just round the corner from this place any more for my cooked breakfast. I can't recommend the place enough 💪

Lovely staff, clean cafe with a great menu. I'm gluten free and was impressed with the variety of food available to choose from - all cooked separately to avoid cross contamination. Good price and food delicious. We had breakfast here two days in a row and was great both days. Will come here again next time we visit Weymouth

It's so lovely to go in to an establishment and be greeted with a smile and hello by all the staff and the owner. Made to feel so welcome and food is always cooked fresh to order. Cracking omelette, happy to tweek if you need it and then can. Only been local for a month but they recognise us and always chat even if busy. Thank you all .

Such a pleasant place to go to for something to eat. Yum nosh with choices, kindly staff who listen and heard what has been asked for. Amazing Bacon bap can be had! Service with a smile and exit cafe with a warm tum and still smiling.

Brilliant cafe! We visit every week (sometimes twice). The breakfast is the best in Weymouth, in our opinion! Very tasty, not dripping with fat and a really good price. There is always banter going on, which eventually involves most people in the cafe. See you next week!

2nd time this holiday we’ve come here, that alone should say all that needs to be said. Lovely genuinely friendly staff and atmosphere. And the food is amazing, 30 second walk from the harbour side car park. Highly recommended

Every Weymouth holiday we visit Thyme out. We would never eat anywhere else in Weymouth. Every time we dine here the food and service is upto a high standard. Their cheesecake is incredible and the vegetable soup is the finest I've ever tasted. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful as most customers appear to be regulars. Nearly 20 years we have been coming here to eat on our holidays and it's still good. It makes me want to live in Weymouth purely to eat here. And we can't wait to visit for many holidays yet to come.

Saturday lunch is always good, whether is a “belly buster” fry up or a liver, bacon, fried onions with bubble and squeak. Our daughter loves the pancakes with chocolate and ice cream, Fab place to eat xxx

First visit to this little cafe which seems quite a busy place. If you just want a quick bite and a cuppa with no frills then this place will fo you nicely. Not bad value .

Called in today and had faggot with chips and veg, everything piping hot and full of flavour, this is our go to cafe in town, always a friendly welcome.

Thyme Out Cafe never disappoints. The staff are local and friendly, the menu is extensive and the food is like mama used to make! If you enjoy lovely straightforward British food, this is the place for you.

We popped in after picking up the new keys to our house which is in the area of this fine busy cafe. I see this will become a regular haunt for us when we move in. We both ordered the big breakfast and it was awesome! Freshly cooked to order (shame no mushrooms.. but there was lots on the plate!). We turned up and it was extremly busy and we knew it would be it is peak seaon and a 3 woman team. And they was doing amazing for the volume of people in there. A wait worth while.

Food was good, one half of my panini had a lot less filling than the other half but not the end of the world! Staff were very friendly and the prices were good!

I have visited the cafe on various occasions and have to say the food is always spot on!! The staff are extremely friendly. The only criticism i have is that on a few occasions i have visited the manager has had the same regulars in and she quite often talks quite loudly across the cafe over tables sometimes with some colourful language (altho not meant in a bad way and is just banter) it can be quite difficult to enjoy the food as it makes the atmosphere quite rowdy. Having said that this has only been on a few occasions and on the whole it is an extremely well run cafe. As per previous comments, covid measures are taken very seriously too.

Having spent the morning on a boat we were looking for a quick coffee before lunch. Delighted to find this café just behind the Marina. They are taking Covid precautions very seriously and the café is clearly popular with locals. While we were not eating, there is an excellent choice on the menu and from the meals we could see it looked appetising and home cooked. We had various coffees and a tea which were all good and remarkably cheap. The staff are clearly passionate about running this café so give them your support!

I had a traditional breakfast, it arrived quickly and on a hot plate, all hot with a few beans and tomato, runny yolk,what’s not to like.

Came across this little gem by accident, got off the main drag, and around the back streets. Read the menu that was well displayed in the cafe window, proper food at very reasonable prices, so we went inside, it was very busy, but thankfully someone was just leaving, so they cleared the table for ourselves. Wife went for the fish n chips, and I had the liver bacon & onions with mash n peas. We both opted for the smaller portions as we had dinner booked on our arrival back to Mid Devon later that day. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, cafe was clean and well presented, the staff were very friendly, and service was efficient. Noticed that many of the tables were taken by locals rather than tourists, this to me is always the sign of a very good establishment. Will definitely be searching this one out again on our return to Weymouth, it was spot on.

This place is a little gem, discovered by accident been here a few times now and it never disappoints. Spotless, and the Ham on the salad was superb. Very generous portions and would recommend to anyone. Will always pop in here when we are in Weymouth.

I think this restaurant caters more to the older generation, meaning it’s quite quiet & the decor is a little old fashioned however don’t let that put you off - it’s a great little cafe, they have an excellent deal where you can get a panini, chips and a drink for less than £5! The value for money is excellent here, I ordered a salad which was huge, beautifully presented & came with a wide variety of different items for only £5.80 and you can choose which flavour crisps you have which is a nice touch (usually it’s just ready salted with this type of meal) Food arrives quickly Staff are all lovely & polite too. Deffo recommend as a nice place to eat for lunch

Had one of the all day breakfasts here the other day. One of the tastiest and best value ones available in this town. Highly recommend it. Staff courteous and jolly. Service good and all food cooked to order. Very flexible in what they'll offer - if you want it and they've got it then they'll oblige.
