Sunday roast at the Barley Mow…heaven on a plate. It is always beautifully cooked, a choice of 3 meats, and just the best gravy and roast potatoes. Excellent value for money, and always a warm greeting from Mark and Lorraine. During lockdown, they delivered to us, and are still delivering their delicious meals. However, it is lovely to go back to the pub, thank you all.

Delicious carvery. (Especially the gravy 😉) Good service, friendly staff, excellent value for money! £55 for 3 roasts, 3 puddings and multiple drinks each! Would recommend!

Food didn't look appetizing on people's plates when I walked in and didn't taste much better and I only had two mouth fills second one was to see if something else on my plate was better but no way. Infact it was dreadful. Went in, in the last week and Never Ever will I go back. Staff should be wearing masks and were not apart from the odd kitchen person who came out. No one serving drinks at the table, I had to go to the bar to be served by a non mask wearing staff member which is hospitality illegal at the moment. Had intended to stay for a few drinks after the meal but left after one (at least they didn't charge me for the meal). They are not worthy of one star but couldn't put a review on unless you stared the place

Our first evening on our weeks holiday and we have had an amazing meal at the Barley Mow. Very welcoming and good varied menu. Highly recommend and we have booked to go back.

Having recently moved to Rockwell Green we were anxious to try out our new "local". We were delighted to find it's one of the best pubs in the southwest. We've had several meals there and the food is excellent and very well priced. The carvery (Wed & Sun lunchtime) are particularly worth trying. They appear to only serve one real ale at a time, which means it is always top quality and fresh. And if you fancy a game of pool, darts or ten-pin bowls then this pub is for you. You can watch the footie in the bar as well. There's a delightful restaurant area to the side if you prefer a quieter area to eat your food.

Just stopped off for lunch, food was good value for money, Roast beef was so tender, friendly staff, service was good, would highly recommend.

Five people at no notice & 20 minuets before service ended & they found us a nice table, good food & excellent price.

Had the stake and ale pie, worst pie I have ever had. I like the barleymow as a pub and have used it for 30 years, but at the moment the food is terrible. Will not go for food again until something changes.

Thanks very much to all at The Barleymow. We had an excellent Sunday lunch here today. Mouthwatering food, quality meat. No frills,just no nonsense food, piping hot plates(always a plus). Definitely recommend and definitely book.👍

We pop in to watch the game on Sunday afternoon and just missed the raffle... but the pub was busy... but the staff made you welcome and they sell a great selection of drinks soft and alcoholic.. we missed the food dead line but the menu looks amazing and proper pub grub as it should be.. well worth a visit if you are in the town..

A lovely Christmas meal for all thirteen of us, Lorraine very efficient in getting it organised and arranged - very attentive and helpful staff - especially mindful of the elder guests in our party.

Just stop off for our tea on our trip from Devon the food was excellent, very reasonable and a great relaxed atmosphere! Highly recommend

Great food! Steak night meal well cooked and reasonably priced. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Love this pub. Wednesday carvery is excellent. Being 'golden oldies' £6.00 buys lunch and desert! Thanks and well done!

Myself and two friends went here on a Wednesday lunch time. They have a senior citizens carvery - only £6 for two courses!!!! Didn't realise the price until after as my friend treated me - I just couldn't believe it. The food was fresh and home cooked - choice of two meats (if you can't eat a certain meat and you let them know previously they will cook you something different). They did this for me and my friends because we wanted chicken (I can't eat red meat or pork). Vegetables were cauliflower cheese, plain cauliflower, carrots, broccolli, peas, cabbage and roast potatoes.

The Barley Mow, an honest to goodness Sunday lunch ( better than mother used to make) can be had at this exceptional carvery in Rockwell green. Mark and Lorraine offer a choice of three meats, a profusion of vegetables and amazing gravy, all at a very reasonable price. Exceptional value for money. My wife and I have enjoyed this carvery for some time now and have never been disappointed. Booking is advisable.

Visited The Barley Mo on our holiday we booked a Steak night one Friday the whole meal and sweet was lush, and couldn't fault the Sunday Carvery either a lovely filling meal and the hosts were so friendly a lovely couple I would recommend to anyone to visit this place a thumbs up

I wouldn't rate this pub 5* .... More like 5*+!!!! The food is absolutely brilliant, especially their Sunday carvery - it's out of this world!! Beautiful tender, melt in the mouth meat, the best gravy and fresh veg, all pipping hot!!! The staff was constantly out topping up with hot and fresh veg, straight out of the oven!!... To top it off the staff are very friendly and attentive!! It's not worth the bother of cooking at home if you have a pub with a carvery on your doorstep....unfortunately we don't as we live in surrey and was visiting family - but our visit for a family meal out at the Barley Mow Pub was the perfect end to our few days away!! We look forward to our next visit!! ��

I'd go as far as saying this is the best Sunday Carvery I've ever had. Perfectly cooked food and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The service at The Barley Mow is second to none, we've been back at least 5 times and recommended whenever anyone has asked. You wouldn't complain if it came at a hefty price but that's another tick in the box!

On this occasion we took friends who were staying with us, they thought it was brilliant value and were overwhelmed by the warm greetings from Mark and Lorraine and the staff, and the lovely young man at the bar who was so helpful to give us the best value with wine.

The best Sunday carvery around, the meat melts in your mouth, veg is always fresh and the gravy is on another level. Worth every single penny. The owners are friendly & the pubs atmosphere is relaxed with lots of fun. You will not be disappointed

Prob the best roast dinner I have ever had the gravy is beautiful. And the triple chocolate fudge cake was stunning. Great new owners. Well done .
