Meet at eight in South Somerset

Amazing must visit ! I have been to meet at eight a few times now and wanted to take the time to leave a review, I love the decor very unique and classy the dim lighting creates a lovely atmosphere , I felt like I had left Yeovil for the evening. As an slightly older client it’s lovely to have somewhere nice to go that you can chat to friends , would be a great venue for a date too Staff were incredibly attentive but not too much, very friendly nothing was too much trouble very informative. We sampled a few cocktails all of them I couldn’t fault them well presented, I loved all the different glassware. We had some really great food too , all the snacks complemented the fondue, I hadn’t had one before so wasn’t sure what to expect, I think it’s a very niche choice , I wasn’t disappointed, I will definitely go back a try another flavour Definitely my new favourite venue for a night out , well done all

Really nice bar. Very relaxed feel. Very tastefully decorated, good entertainment. Staff are really attentive and very friendly. Really nice cocktails. Just what Yeovil needs. Would recommend to anyone.

The whole vibe of the place is absolutely wonderful. It's very classic and very vintage. I absolutely adore the dim lighting, music and atmosphere of the whole place. The waitresses and bar staff are absolutely wonderful and have such a personality. We went for Valentine's Day and I must say it gets busy quick and I can see why. They have events on during the evenings which is wonderful as there isn't any other place like it. If I lived close by I would be there every evening enjoying their events. The events range from music evenings, comedy and quiz nights. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy slow paced evenings with beautiful drinks and wonderful staff. I have never been to a place like it. There was a wonderful lady who served us (blonde) she had such a a personality and was wonderful from the very start. There is nothing bad I could ever say about this place.

Have been lucky enough to visit a few times now and this place does not disappoint! A must visit! Slowly making my way through the cocktail menu, Elderflower Blossom is my favourite so far. Tried both the cheese and chocolate fondues last weekend - delicious! Great alternative to a full on meal. Fab atmosphere, jazz club vibes.

I recently visited Eight unknowing of what to expect, yet I was very pleasantly surprised. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff, and LOVED the atmosphere, definitely what Yeovil needed. My friends and I confidently ordered our drinks thanks to the knowledgeable staff! Throughout our evening the staff were very attentive but not too overboard, just the perfect balance. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone who prefers a sophisticated experience.

Went to comedy night on 13th Dec. Expensive night out at £15 a ticket. A few free nibbles would be good with the £15 a ticket price. Drinks are very expensive. Bar staff need more training; felt quite disorganised when ordering drinks at the bar and staff were extremely slow at serving. Also only one toilet which is unacceptable when venue is full. Heard from other tables that extortionate prices for nibbles…2 very small handful of crisps was £15. Also bottle of wine on first round was £25, second round the exact same bottle of wine was £45. Also they don’t serve Prosecco by the glass; this is what bar staff told us.

Great venue, with friendly and attentive staff and very reasonable prices. The cocktail menu is extensive and creative. It's also lovely to see some less common beers & ciders on tap. I attended to watch the Disciples play. The venue was busy but not too overcrowded and wait times at the bar were short. The atmosphere was great and the music was at an ideal volume. It was also nice to have the option to book a table as well. It is clear that management and staff have put a lot of effort into offering Yeovil a nicer and more attractive alternative for drinks and food. Their hard work has definitely paid off. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Eight and will be returning shortly to try their fondue!

Lovely place! Staff were quick and friendly.. not sure what the bad reviews are below. Seems as though a couple people want to go back for some free food! All in all, wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back

Came with my husband and we shared the cheese fondue & a bottle of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed both! Think this will be our little date night spot from now on! What a treat having this in Yeovil.

I’ve been to Meet at Eight on 4 occasions now, two private events the opening night and just for a catch up with the friend. The atmosphere is incredible with low level lighting and great decor. Safe to say you do not feel like you are on a side street in Yeovil. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and work hard to provide you something special. The attention to detail in the glassware, cutlery and crockery really adds to the effect! The two private events I attended had cocktails on special that were chosen by the hosts which had lovely drinks toppers and a huge graze table full of meats, cheeses fruits and veg! The price is a fair reflection for the quality and dedication. If you compare to Wetherspoon prices yes it is more expensive, but compare to other bars and restaurants and it’s very fair! Really enjoyed and is definitely my new place to chose to meet a friend!

A missing piece. Those who know Yeovil, know there isn’t a great deal of choice when it comes to bars/restaurants. Then meet at eight appeared, the perfect addition. A cosy and warm welcome awaits with decor that transforms you out of town. The staff are wonderful, welcomed with a smile and very attentive. I sampled my way through the cocktail list on my visit and was delighted with each new drink I tried! Simple but elegant with their choices. Although unfortunately I didn’t eat, the food looks wonderful and something so unique I can’t wait to try it. The variety of events they’re bringing to the town to cater to everyone just puts emphasis on the way in which they work. Real people who are investing in their community. Huge well done Meet At Eight, you’ve smashed it!!!

Loved it here, just what we need in Yeovil….somewhere to have a drink and relax… great addition to the town

As soon as you enter Eight, the atmosphere is welcoming and very cozy. The staff were all very friendly and were brilliant throughout the night! The food wait wasn’t long at all for the quality you receive when the fondues come out. All of my family were very pleased it was delicious. The staff made multiple trips to refill our fondue dippings as they are unlimited which was great. The cocktails and drinks we had were amazing and looked stunning! I will 100% be returning, great experience overall.

Exactly what Yeovil needs! We thoroughly enjoyed our fondue and a few drinks, so much so we’ve already booked again for a few weeks time - just lush 😍

Meet at Eight is truly the little gem Yeovil has been missing for a long time. Having visited twice now (one of which being opening night) I have not been disappointed. The staff have been personable and efficient,the food unique and tasty and although prices are slightly on the higher end of what you might pay in a small town I feel they are justified for the ambience/experience. Would highly recommend taking the time to visit. Wishing all lots of success.

The service was really quick for how busy it was. Top quality, unique food and a great atmosphere. Good music and accommodates for a dinner date and some drinks with your friends. Would highly recommend
