I visited this tea room whilst waiting for my bus to Umberleigh. After travelling from Preston, Lancashire I was happy to be able to relax with a coffee. The staff were really friendly and the place had a great vibe. City life can be a bit hectic so it was refreshing to visit this little tea room and we were even tempted with cake which was delicious!

This small café by the station is perfect for any time of day, it has a quiet and friendly atmosphere and the food is excellent! It has great prices, lovely staff, a cozy vibe and is brilliant to stop and have a cup of tea (like we did when we went.) Recommend to anyone who enjoys a quieter, laid-back café with delicious treats!! 😋

I visited the tearooms as part of an art residency in a big group of artists. The staff were so friendly, the food was absolutely delicious. (You have to try the scones!!) And they handled our large group really well. It is a warm, inviting and lovely place to spend an hour or so. Thank you for your hospitality.

We enjoyed coffee and delicious cakes at the Station Cafe after a day out by train to Oakhampton. Friendly service and a nostalgic atmosphere. Lots of information about the local Turning Tides project, with original art work.

I missed the train by 5 minutes so I had an hour to wait and a couple of cups of coffee. a ham & cheese omelette & a cake filled a brunch sized hole whilst happily chatting with the staff. It made a dull hour pass very happily - almost therapy.

Visited with anticipation having read good reviews. I was pleased to see there was a cream tea on the menu, surely the main fare for anywhere claiming to be a tea room. The waitress looked surprised when I asked for this and informed me that they had no scones in stock, and no cream either. We were offered a cheese scone with chutney, but that is hardly the same thing. We walked out never to return.

This is a nice place to hang out since Turning Tides have taken over the Station Tea Rooms. Always lively and fun.

Not knowing Crediton very well, we were looking for a tea shop. It was well signposted from the main road and there was plenty of parking. Inside we found it quirky and fascinating. But it was the food that was so lovely. Much grown by themselves and all homemade. We did not arrive until 3:30pm but were able to have something filling to eat. The chocolate bramble cheesecake was especially tasty! I discovered they also do very traditional afternoon tea on tiered plates, which I will ring up and order in advance next time I go, because I will definitely be going again!

Called to have a look at the station as we are new to the area and my partner likes all things railway. There is a limited menu, very reasonably priced. We had panini's and salad. The coffee was very nice and the young lad serving was extremely friendly and happy to help. A quirky and unusual place, but somewhere we would call to again if visiting the area.

So I’m one of those people that likes different things to what is on the menu. The menu is great though btw 😉 a couple of times I have come in and just told the staff what i fancy. Both times the staff have been really accommodating and the food and service has been amazing. It also looks completely beautiful. What’s not to like? Garlic mushrooms, scrambled egg and inclusively handmade apple and onion chutney! YUM!

I've only been the once so far, but will certainly be going again. This is a very friendly, welcoming, relaxing place to eat and drink. The coffee and cakes are truly excellent! Being in the old station building, It's right on the platform for the (occasional) trains to and from Exeter, and perfect for a quick slurp and bite before or after a journey. 10/10 would visit again and be cake-smiling :D

I came to the Tea Rooms Audio Visionary Exhibition last month and it was fab!! All the of the artwork was different and some very ingenious! Having the artists music playing as they were exhibiting their art was very well thought out, and something I've not seen before. They were very welcoming and friendly, and obviously all worked well together. Everything was tidied up quickly and effitiently, the food was plentiful - my favorite being the banana cak! Their shop was lovely, with lots of lovely hand made gifts. My friends bought some homemade jam, is there anything you cant do?! There was new technology that anyone can use and experiment with, it was specially made for The Turning Tides Project and was really fun to try out! I would like to thank the Turning Tides Project for being so welcoming, and will thank them again for letting us be a part of their exhibition. I would recommend them any time!

Stopped off here whilst giving my eldest son a lift to work. The tea rooms now have new tenants who are a community interest company which assists people with learning disabilities. I only had a coffee which was freshly brewed but tasted divine. They have a menu with such items as sandwiches, omelettes and jacket potatoes as well as a specials board, may well try something on my next visit. Highly Recommended.

we have lived near Crediton for years and would feel we knew it pretty well. but today we discovered this most unexpected jewel. I would echo every positive comment on here previously. No good if you're after a slap up meal, but if delicious cakes, or a sandwich are all you're after, this is the place. it is like stepping back in time, a beautifully restored railway station, jam packed with character and comfort. although the OH and I only had a coffee, the time we spent there had us feeling certain we will be back as soon as we can. a wonderful relaxing, friendly place that you might want to spend several hours in. top top marks

My husband and I have frequented the Swan Neck cafe many times, as we walk along Tiverton canal regularly. The experience has always been fantastic - cakes, coffee, hot chocolate - top rate. However my experience today was somewhat disappointing. I paid £7.50 for the soup of the day and a roll. I was astonished to see when it arrived that it was a smallish coffee cup of soup, rather than a bowl, accompanied by a small white roll. £7.50! The soup was delicious but in my opinion it should have cost about half what was paid. I always try to support small independent businesses but I'm afraid today's experience has left me feeling rather wounded and that I have been taken advantage of. Definitely not value for money in my opinion. Sorry Swan Neck but you've got it wrong on this one.

We called in for something to eat but it cost us over sixteen pounds for two coffees and two bland cakes you could go to bridge house just up the road and for another three pounds you can have two large coffees with two large snacks ,etc, Welsh rarebit with masses of gammon .the decor does not suit the bakery though I suppose that's what you are paying for but l for one do not like being ripped off,why calling a bakery when you can't buy any bread or cakes as you have to order it days in advance and there isn't any thing on display in the window. They are trying to be an upmarket cafe in the wrong place.we won't bother going there again ,rather go up the road ., at least we won't be ripped off.
