Perfect Sunday roast! 7 of us had lunch and we all agreed that the fontmell is back to being one of the best pubs for miles around. The food and the service are excellent, and the walk from the village over fontmell down is a perfect way to work up an appetite.

On arrival the barman was very friendly and efficient, the food was fantastic as always, I had the farmyard feast and my partner had the pork belly, both meals were amazing and cooked to perfection, we have made this our go to place, even tho it’s a 30 minute drive, definitely recommend if you haven’t been here before

Has to be the worst Sunday roast I've ever seen and didn't eat .ended up going to the chip shop afterwards.ive seen better roast dinners in the 1980's in school .if I would of sat in to see this and not had a takeaway I would of asked for my money back .how on earth you can charge £12:95 is a disgrace. Runny gravy.beef looked processed .vegetables under cooked ,2 potatoes and a stale cold Yorkshire pudding . Total waste of money .

Dear manager or owner...please help the good people who work there to be happier when in your service. You have a really nice place...serve your people and your customer with grace and thanks... Alot of the time...I don't feel this from your people...look after them.. Your business is marked differently from everything else at the top of the high street...keep going and remember people..and in this. Expect them to serve well. Good luck and thanks for the beers...im looking for better service

We visited for a Mother’s Day meal after booking in advance. On arrival we were met me a pleasant member of staff who welcomed us and showed us to our table. Within 30 seconds a waitress came and asked us what drinks we wanted. We didn’t want alcohol so the choice was limited. Asked what alternatives they had, waitress didn’t really know but offered J2O or coke. There was also a note on the table telling us how long we had. I understand it was Mother’s Day and busy but felt this was not necessary. I’ve never been to a pub or restaurant and had this. We ordered drinks and 3 carveries and 1 kids pasta. Firstly the carvery was very good. The roast meats were cooked to perfection and the crackling was lovely. The portions were also very generous. The availability of the rest was great with a good choice of vegetables etc. My daughter’s pasta on the other hand was pretty awful. The bowl was scorching hot and the pasta was slushy mix of what was a tomato sauce and packet pasta. It wasn’t cheap either. We didn’t say anything at the time as my daughter didn’t want a fuss. I get that it was a busy day and carvery is your thing but alternatives have to be good. All in all the carvery was very good , the service was pleasant but a little rushed.

Lovely place with a great choice of wines, beers and cocktails. Nice menu offering well cooked English staples plus a few nice options. Roma are all en-suite and characterful. It’s a 3 star hotel but does much more. Excellent staff who have a great sense of humour! Breakfast is excellent and a large choice.

Celebrated my husband 60th Birthday on Bank Holiday Monday. We had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were attentive and friendly. We all really enjoyed our meals and we stayed all afternoon on the terrace watching the band that was playing, in the sunshine. Everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' and my husband received a nice surprise from the Hotel of a macaroon with 'Happy Birthday' written on the plate. A Perfect and memorable day. Thank You very much.

Very disappointed, we knew it closed at 4 pm we were held up in traffic also three way traffic lights outside the restaurant but arrived at 3.45, then just to be told they had closed, we asked if they could possibly make us tea the young girl was gone for a good while then came back and said no, why does it say 4 pm close ? She said we could get a takeaway in the shop perfect we thought again just to be told they had turned and cleaned the machine, most unfriendly unhelpful staff, we will not make the trip out again. Can’t comment on the food as we couldn’t get any. Bring back some proper old fashion service please.

I have never disappointed when I have visited the lovely White Hart Pub. Such nice country venue with great views over the river Seven into Wales, coupled with a old school building where sitting inside is just as good as sitting out. The Sunday lunches are a huge favourite of mine and since the new owners Darren & Rachel have taken over they have got even better. The food portions are big and so very flavoursome coupled with some very decent red wine made our latest lunch memorable indeed. I will be back again shortly and look forward to eating in the garden when a little warmer. By the sounds of it plans for some music are on the cards for the summer too.

The atmosphere was good and the staff friendly and attentive. We had the Sunday roast and the food was good. The only thing that we would say is that though the Sunday roast was nice and exactly what we would expect, we did feel the price was higher than expected compared to similar Sunday roasts we've had in the past. Though we liked the place and food we would be reluctant to return for food with the prices being charged as there are many other places that are better value for money
