The best restaurants serving British food in South West

we meet friends here as its halfway for both parties. always fet in , foods good .

Can’t speak for the food as we preordered a gluten free pasty as they specify… however on arrival at the agreed time they hadn’t cooked it… apparently they take 1 hour 15 minutes… so we left empty handed. Wouldn’t normally bother to review but that was poor and my 10 year old daughter was well disappointed.

Friendly staff and welcoming pub with great selections of quality beverages and delicious food. Highly recommended to families and friends.

Booked a table for 8 people on Saturday 29th march evening for a mother's day meal,my daughter won the draw for a Martock massive burger+ dirty fries which her partner finished+ a cheese cake dessert .The staff were brilliant and good excellent as well as the atmosphere

Watched the Euros here over the summer, great deals and friendly staff, been in for food and it was lovely. Can't wait to try the carvery

Excellent restaurant, the staff is very friendly and the dishes are high quality and delicious. Special mention for the Brazilian feijoada-style pork, a delight.

Came here for Mother's Day with my family and the experience was pretty poor. We had a midday booking, and yet there were a lot of things on the menu that simply weren't available / sold out: two choices of our main courses (the duck course, fish and chips...) and even the wine we wanted was not available. If you're going to market yourself as a great place for Mother's Day, why not have your stock available, rather than having to apologise every time we picked something? The live piano was a nice idea, and we weren't even the closest table to it, but it was so loud we couldn't hold a conversation - it's a grand piano - shut the lid! The last straw was the slow service, from an understaffed, overworked and under-experienced team. Certainly not an experience I wish to repeat.

Staff are friendly, quick service. Children’s area was a win for us. Food was lovely and again quick service. Would recommend

My friend & I went for lunch. The menu was exciting, enticing & varied; the food was delicious & beautifully cooked. The service was friendly & efficient without being intrusive. The whole experience was warm & friendly. Give it a go. It's lovely

Poor service, mistake after mistake and the state of the place is appalling. Cold food, wrong orders, the staff could not have cared less.

A good experience ~ food was good and the service was efficient prompt and friendly ~ it was a quiet period so not over crowded

Whenever we go to this restaurant we’re greeted with a smile. Our waitress last night was JADE who went out of her way to give us a great experience. Nothing was too much , she is a credit to the team!
