Booked in for a large family celebration. We had a section of the restaurant to ourselves which was perfect considering the amount of children in our party. All team were happy & helpful. Exceptional customer service, could not be Faulted! Special thanks to Jamie & George for all their help throughout the night with George kindly taking a Family picture for us before we left. Massive Thank you to the Kitchen team for cooking all 23 meals to perfection! All food arrived in a timely mannor, presented well and most importantly Hot and delicious. Highly recommended expessically for large parties. We did provide a Pre order due to us being such a large party, this made the process quick and stress free on the night. We all had a lovely evening and will definitely visit again!

We were staying at the Premier Inn next door, and after having a good day out were looking forward to getting back to the hotel but firstly going into the Whittle Inn,as we were starving. It was Sunday evening 7-45 when we walked in to be told that they had stopped serving meals! We couldnt believe what we were hearing! A Brewers Fayre pub, closing their kitchen by that time! no wonder the place was virtually empty! We have never known a Brewers shut the kitchen so early. We were disgusted to say the least and had to get back into the car and go and find a garage open to buy sandwiches etc and take them back to eat in our room.A very disappointing end to our lovely day! So be warned ,do not rely on being able to eat here on an evening! esp Sundays. would have given a 0 if I could!

The Whittle inn is one of the best Brewers Fayre in the U.K. From the first time I walked in I was greeted warmly by the staff on the Bar, in the 3 weeks I’ve been going in I’ve not had a bad meal or a bad pint. All the staff are great but a special mention for Kieran who has now moved on to pastures new ( a loss for Brewers Fayre I’m sure ) and Pippy and Mandy.

Stayed overnight in the Premier Inn and ate here for evening meal and breakfast. The evening meal was great- good value for money, well prepared and included the BEST jacket potato I have had in a pub for many years, light and fluffy and cooked right through. Breakfast was disappointing as the cooked breakfast was not hot, rather tepid. Have stayed at other Premier Inns so know what they can achieve. Great coffee though. Will give it another go if I am that way on business again, hopefully my breakfast was the exception.

We have had the Festive meal at The Whittle ever since it opened. And yet again the meal was absolutely brilliant. We had the 3 courses and we could not fault it in any way. The Turkey dinner main course was exemplary. Our two waitresses Emily and Kaitlynne were just superb, helpful, polite and just exceptional in the current COVID circumstances. The Whittle is a great restaurant and we will keep returning. I would invite anyone who loves good food to pay it a visit. You won’t be disappointed. Keep up the good work all. And Merry Christmas.

We were hoping that as a chain the whittle would be back open at the same time as others. This is the first time we have taken the family out since before lockdown and didn’t really know what to expect. It was very different walking in but we needn’t have been worried. We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown through to our table. You no longer order at the bar so it was nice to just sit down and relax. Both the staff and food were lovely and the food was just as quick to come to the table as in previous visits. As a family we do usually take advantage of the offers and so were a little taken back by the price but it was great to learn that your offers will be coming back and will take advantage of the “eat out” offer when it starts from Monday.

Visited this evening for the first time in several months having been to Tesco. This place can be hit or miss at the best of times but we gave it a go anyway. Upon arrival they appeared to have done a great job with decorating and getting ready for the post corona world (that is why they got both stars). Service was very poor and the attitude of the staff was awful, very negative and left the vibe that they weren’t ready to get back to work. The food was low end and limited even for a budget pub chain. There was more than enough staff on but there wasn’t much cleaning or working taking place. We won’t be rushing back.

Our first vist here and it will be our last, food was terrible and not cheap. We both had a starter my husband had a prawn cocktail, there was no seafood sauce on it whatsoever, we had to ask for it. The bread was stale and no butter. Had to ask for this too. The salad wasnt fresh neither. I had deep fried mushrooms and it was literally that, a plate with half a dozen mushrooms and sad little pot of garlic mayonaise and no salad. In this day and age standards should be a lot better. The main was edible but smash not mash. Then we discovered we haf been overcharged as we both had non alcoholic cider, we had been charged for alcoholic ones and also charged more for my pie and mash only to be told that was the old price and yet all the menus stated that. My husband had enough by this time and we left. Very poor attitude by staff, very disappointing. Will not be returning and will not recommend

Having had breakfasts in various establishments around Brockworth over the past few years, I thought I'd give the Whittle a go. I think the 'all you want' breakfast is a bit misleading as you still have to order your cooked items, which I assume protects their profits as people are less likely to order more, rather than re-visiting a buffet counter - especially if you're not approached by the staff, as in my case. Poached eggs were hard boiled, bacon and sausages weren't the best quality and they weren't over generous with the mushrooms or black pudding either. At £9.50 it's certainly not the cheapest, although it does include unlimited tea and coffee plus kids eat free - not much use if you're on your own! Personal preference would be to stick to the Toby Carvery for value for money and choice of items.

Had one of the worse meals I have ever had in this pub tonight. Ordered chicken wings to start and rib eye steak for main. Left feeling very hungry as the food was awful. The chicken wings were a mass of breadcrumbs which shattered when trying to eat them, hardly any chicken inside. The steak was full of gristle, over cooked and tasteless. I asked for a jacket potato instead of chips but they didn’t have that so I settled for new potatoes and a side salad. The steak came cooked through and tough, then potatoes hard in the middles and soggy onion rings. I ordered a aide salad which consisted pf leaves, cucumber and red onion smothered in dressing (which was not advertised). I left most of the main and will not be returning. I stayed here as a rare treat as normally use the Ibis and eat from the M&S; garage next door which I must say is much nicer at a fraction of the price. Very disappointed!!!

We have previously raved about this restaurant to freinds and relatives and been regular customers. But we have noticed over the last year or so that the food standards are really falling and as a consequence have visited less frequently. This evening we waited forty minutes for our main meal, and when it arrived the bacon on one meal was actually burnt black, the gammon on the other meal was dreadfully overcooked and somehow swimming in grease, and the overcooked chips had obviously been fried for a second time to reheat them after the first time of cooking. So disappointed, we got a refund, left the restaurant and made do with a takeaway pizza.

Visited here on Wednesday evening. 3 out of 4 of us had the lamb. It was cooked well, and was hot. Service was really good, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. Will definitely be returning. Thank you.

We took advantage of a 50% discount voucher to go here, nicely laid out, modern feel to the decoration, staff were very pleasant and helpful.the carpark was a bit strange as you are sharing with the hotel on site but they need to make there parking policy a bit more pronounced as I think people are getting confused as a pay and display where if you use it you get 3hrs free for using it because we nearly went somewhere else to park I'm sure this has put some people off and possibly losing them business. Anyway there was a good selection of beers and the menu is what you would expect from a a pub chain, we ordered our food and must say it looked and tasted fine the only thing wrong was my wife's steak was over cooked and quite full of sinuses other than that not a bad experience

We were staying at the Premier inn last night attached to the Whittle Inn. The restaurant was pretty empty so there were plenty of tables to choose from.

Terrible breakfast. Ordered 3 poached eggs on brown toast. After 25 mins I got a plate with 2 poached eggs on it. The waitress asked ‘wouldn’t you like some toast with these?’. ‘Yes’ I replied, and so the eggs on a plate were removed. 5 minutes later they were returned, on a bed of unbuttered white toast. After half an hour I was hungry and so decided to eat the toast regardless of colour. Unfortunately though one egg was stone cold and runny. The other was red hot and as solid as concrete. Extraordinary that a simple order could be so completely ruined. I left without eating

After reading the reviews our expectations were pretty low but we arrived at the adjacent Premier Inn after a 7 hour journey in the rain so didn't want to find anywhere else. I ordered the BBQ half chicken and chips, it was hot, tasty and the chicken fell off the bone, the chips were good too. My partner had the gammon which he was very happy with. The staff were lovely and we came away feeling very satisfied with the whole experience.

Thought we'd give the local BF a go as they put some vouchers through the door. Menu looked ok for a chain pub, but the £10 fish and chips was about as substantial and well presented as a burnt fish finger. The staff were over busy and harassed and the tables and dining room were in need of a good clean and tidy. Also the drinks promotions are vague and not honoured if requested. Poor show.

My husband and I had dinner here on the 3rd of July. It was a little later in the evening about 1.5 hours before closing. The food was pretty good, decent sized portions and the drinks were lovely. It’s your typical pub fare but a little updated. The downside was the girl who greeted us when we walked in, didn’t get her name but she had ZERO customer service skills, looked to be a manager of some sort. Also, the girl who took our order at the bar didn’t have any customer service skills either. Didn’t look at you, or even tried to be friendly or courteous. Not sure if it was because they were closing in less than two hours or they both had terrible work days. The only redeeming staff was the lovely young girl who brought our food. At least she had a smile. Not sure if I’d return but if I did, maybe not this location.

Breakfast is adequate, the staff are nice, helpful and friendly but it is a very tired place. Had a meal here on a busy Friday night and it was not the best, the chips i think were cooked in very old oil, some customers were sending their food back as it was on hot plates but the food was cold in the middle, one ladies was burnt, mine was a dry burger, old chips and congealed warm coleslaw on the side of the plate. We were staying at the Premier Inn next to here and over the three days the outside beer garden had the same food, tab ends and crayons all over the floor, the benches outside were rotten and the varnish peeling off, so much so it stuck to your clothing if you sat on them.

430pm Sunday late lunch. The place was sparsely populated, which I imagine is expected as we saw only 3 restaurant/bar staff in the whole place. The place was messy, uncleared table, debris on floor. I had lamb shank, which is normally acceptable, but I swear the green beans were left over from Sunday lunch ie. 4 hours old, chewy, barely edible. Unusually for this place, we did not have anyone come and ask if our meals were ok. I guess that's because half the staff had already gone. I will make sure I do not return.

Came with family and friend for evening meal. Situated right by a large Tesco store so no the most inviting place for an evening out but once inside you were not too aware of this. Service friendly and when ordering they said they would able to accommodate my meal request of a starter to be served with the other main courses. However, it did arrive as a starter and had to be returned to the kitchen until the mains were ready. When it arrived it wasn’t as hot as I would have liked (had it been sat waiting for the other meals???). Portions are not huge considering the prices and would not satisfy hearty appetite unless they had all three courses. Kids menu was standard ‘junk’ food. All in all it wasn’t the worst meal but it wasn’t the best.

Found the Old Elm via the Good Beer Guide and rang them to confirm a slot for Sunday lunch. Not a problem with booking and they are also dog friendly too. We tried the Wye Valley HPA when we arrived it was in perfect condition. We had pre ordered our meat choices when we rang and our dinners came in around 10 mins. The food was excellent we had beef and lamb and there was loads together with loads of fresh veg. It was all round superb and great value. We finished off with a couple of puddings that were too superb. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Excellent food that does not only look like a piece of art but also (and in my opinion more importantly) tastes incredible. The ambiente is very comforting, familial, and the owner is so friendly. We have loved going there for several occasions and it's always been a great experience. Would definitely recommend to any foodies out there!
