Toby Carvery Brockworth in Tewkesbury

Not great experience in this store, waited 20 mins to be served at the table for drinks, then the que at the food was over 30 minutes long

we had a lovely time at toby carvery. the staff were great, especially our server Stacey. despite the long wait for food, she made sure we were happy and all the staff were helpful when a family member became ill. Stacey made a birthday celebration a really great time. Thank you!

We have visited several times in the past, but were disappointed by the messiness of the servery area and floor. Since the recent refurb, this is much improved and today we were delighted by the cleanliness and freshness of the offerings. We were very well looked after by all staff, especially Tilly who was most friendly and helpful, and gave us a raffle ticket number 264. The only little niggle - no Worcestershire Sauce for the Tomato Juice, a minor problem. We will be back!

Good pub food, lovely staff and reasonable prices. Four meats, plenty of vegetables as well as pasta, three potato options and gravy inc a veggie option. Good rage of beers. Plenty of parking.

A best value carvery meal, very nicely served and plentiful. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Our Waitress - Tilly Ticket 183, was smart, attentive and very polite. No hesitation in recommending this Toby Inn.

This place is great, staff are excellent, and the food is always hot and perfectly cooked.

Really good food and great but not intrusive service. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be so excellent value for money. I will be going again. Update I have revisited several times this year and I haven't changed my mind about anything still brilliant value for money.

Great food as always at a Toby carvery, and it might have been the time we booked for, but the only table available for us was in the area used by children. Not a problem though as they were well behaved

I think we will stick going to the toby on a Sunday and not in the week poor service and not much atmosphere

Food is great if you love a carvery. What I didn't like were the massive queues but I guess that's because everyone loves a carvery.

The food is fresh (I think or is pre cooked and packed) but lacks flavour, not enough selection of vegetables. Potatoes are undercooked. I can cook better all said and done the gravy was excellent

We stopped by for a carvery lunch, one kingsize & one regular. We assumed there was a communication breakdown with the pigs in blanket, which we requested. It came to our table about 15 minutes later but unfortunately we were nearly at the end, and too full to eat them. The mac and cheese had hard/crunchy pasta parts (not the topping) so I left the rest. I also found the beef cuttings mostly fat. It was a shame as the bit of beef I had tasted lovely. I had a Thatchers Gold from draught, which oddly had no chill to it. Besides the late arrival of the pigs in blanket, no one came to the table to ask how our food was otherwise I would've raised the issues then. Instead we brought it up upon paying, the server was understanding and said that next time, I should say something and they'd offer more cuts of beef. The server also took the pigs in blanket and the cider off the bill, which was nice. All in all, it wasn't a perfect visit, but I would go again and do things a little differently.

Hit and miss here. The staff with half a mullet fade was simply rude and couldn’t care less. The lady on the front counter taking your booking was pleasant and helpful.

The Food was top notch service was a little bit delayed as our visit was on a bank holiday back in may when we visited from Canada while they were extremley busy! It was worth the wait the food at the Brockworth Toby Carvery was hot Fresh and very tasty! The food was worth the wait I highly recommend this location!

Yes I know it's a Toby but the breakfast here was spot on. All hot and well cooked and refreshed regularly. Tells you something when it's packed on a Friday morning. Well done. Best Toby breakfast we've had.

We came on a really busy Sunday when there was clearly high demand. The staff took it all in their stride dealing with the queues quickly and pleasantly, and were attentive and friendly during our meal (especially Monica, our server). The food was great, I came in with a hankering for a roast and had that hole filled. A big thank you :)

Delivered with no meat in my order. Can you imagine ordering a carvery and not getting any meat? The restaurant was unhelpful in resolving the issue, even though they cook and pack the food, then push the blame to Just Eat and say to resolve it with them, which still means I have no meat and a box of veg. I wouldn't bother ordering from Toby Carvery on this platform, as you will not get the issue resolved by the restaurant.

Despite a revamp I didn't see any changes and food was disappointing

Had a carvery today at the famous Toby carvery in brockworth with the family, place has been redecorated and not sure what they have changed but the food was the best roast dinner I've ever had all the meats were melting in the mouth and staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a lovely family lunch today at Toby Carvery Brockworth celebrating our childrends birthday. Our kids love it here. We were a bit worried at first as it was so busy, but the queue went down very quickly and Service was quick. Thank you Connie for looking after us 422.

You will never find better value for money at newly refurbished Toby Carvery Brockworth. Book online. Went for Dinner last night also Breakfast today. Hotel price 15£ v £6.50. Didn't get free fruit juice or Pastries but who needs them. Hope staff get well paid, it's full!! ***Manager gets top billing**** all day everyday!!

I love toby carvery but I wouldn’t order delivery again. The food was quite cold (including gravy) and I don’t live very far away at all

Had a lovely roast although l was slightly disappointed about the variety of vegetables on offer.

The carvery was huge. The roast potatoes was hard. but everything was really nice.

Average overall which is why its slightly cheaper than rivals. Disappointing that they ran out of Lamb and Sex on the beach cocktails tasted as though it had no alcohol in it.

Very nice building. Long wait for food , When we got to the front of cue there was hardly any veg and had to asks if there was anymore coming out then had to wait about 5 minutes . There was also alot of flys around the severing Station and around the gravy Station . There was also some cabbage out that looked like it was there all day . No one come to check if we was OK. So over all disgusted with Toby at Brockworth so will not be going back . Ordered a breakfast today has normally have the baps I asked for no sausages so they gave me BLK pudding and diced potatoes my mum loved blk pudding so she would of eaten it she loved Toby breakfast but sadly she recently passed away 😢💔

Good value, quick service, family all ate well. With the discount voucher, it would ge a challenge to provide the same meal for 10 people at home for the same price!

Had a table book for 2pm arrived at 5 to waited in queue to be sat about 10 people in front of us, we waited till 2.15 and only 1 group had been taken to be seated. 6 bar staff stood around chatting. Could see queue for carvery was even bigger. Decided to give up and go somewhere else. As we left queue was to the door!

Had a lovely roast dinner here tonight and the staff were lovely even though they were very busy.

177- Tilly. (Old review to remain) About a year on from this review and ALOT has changed. The restaurant saw a remodelling and face lift of areas in major need. The gravy station is in (my opinion) a much better place. In sight of staff, constantly replenished and very LIT. No more dark and gloom behind the pillar! Still think pumps for the sauces would be good as I made a right old mess yesterday trying to put sauce on 4 plates with people waiting 🤣. We had Tilly as our waitress and although to enter to draw I need to leave ‘5*’ she genuinely does deserve it. She recognises us at this point. Knew which drinks we wanted and the jug of squash for the kids. Was pro active about getting our desserts and the bill. Absolutely no complaints. And previously I felt the pub was understaffed…and even if it still is…I can’t tell. Staff stick to their areas, everything gets done. Limited wait times. Tables constantly cleared away….so yeh…5*s. Jeez....usually pretty good but on the 5th? BIG NOPE. Poor staff were obvioulsy trying their best so didn't say anything 'bad' to them (As it would waste even more time that they clearly didn't have). There looked to be only only 2 general staff, 2 senior staff and then 1 chef serving, 1 assistant rushing about and 2 or so in the back. Definitely understaffed. The braised leeks were AWFUL. Infact me and a few of the tables were talking about how they tasted like hairspray. Totally ruined our meals! Roast potatoes undercooked qnd mash.. SOUR?! Had to wait 45minutes to get ice-cream! Table next to us was ordering desserts and got so fed up of waiting that they just asked for the bill and left. Left dirty dishes and ice cream pots right next to the gravy station. Also the male staff member in non uniform (wearing an unbuttoned grey and white checkered shirt with white shirt and grey jeans...vv stylish..) spray anti-bac on his computer screen which is right behind the gravy....with there being no pane between the two sides, all the spray went on the gravy. Obviously an accident...but maybe if there was more organisation it would make understaffed services easier??? Chef was lovely. As was the brunette staff member in toby uniform.

Last saturday afternoon the waitress with glasses, ginger hairs at mid-age serviced us was strange and we had a bad service! I waved to her when I saw her coming towards a different direction, she saw me but didn’t have any reaction to me. After a while she came to our table, I told her my son toddler dropped off his teaspoon, I would like to have another one, she didn’t say anything and walked away when another customer rushed to her to ask for a help for something. She then brought me a dessert spoon which had a very long handle! How come 2.5 years kid can use it to eat his food from his baby bowl! I told her the handle was too long, I needed a teaspoon, she ignored me and walked away! After finishing the meal, she took away our dishes. Then we waited for 15-30 mins to see any waitress coming to the area we sat near the back door to pay our bill.

We had a table booked for 1:30 but were very early and still accommodated even though it was extremely busy. Great carvery again and the meats were delicious and tender. Awesome meal and service yet again. I definitely recommend this place 🤩

The meat that was available was fine; the vegetables were very much hit and miss, some clearly having sat under a heat lamp for too long (the cabbage especially). The guy bringing the pots of veg out was obviously wanting to be anywhere else on a Saturday night. Servery was very messy, a chimps' tea party springs to mind; discarded veg everywhere and no attempt to clear it up. Some pots placed so close to the heatlamps such that the spoon handles were untouchably hot. All of the condiments had mixed spoons in them and the gravies were heavily skinned. Aside from the aforementioned veg man, the staff were all very friendly and chatty. Would I go again? Not likely; we only went because the restaurant attached to the Premier Inn up the road was fully booked. The Toby fulfilled its role adequately, but that's about it.

Have been here a few times and the staff are always lovely! We have been on a Sunday and a Thursday for a carvery. We found that the quality of food on the Thursday was so much better than the Sunday. I can only imagine it was because the Sunday was far busier and so the quality suffered a lot. The breakfast we had on another visit was great and brilliant value. Lots of choice and very tasy!

Food was better than tbe average Toby service was not but we got there with some prodding. No real atmosphere as several kids were running about like it was a playground and kicked my stick away from me as I was trying to get up. The parents said nothing and nor did the staff. There needs to be adults only areas away from these brats. My partner and I are both disabled. These kids had no respect.

Only had a snack and drinks. A complicated food allergy conversation led to a complimentary bowl of roast potatoes. Absolutely brilliant customer relations. We're definitely going back.

Queues in this carvery are terrible. What is the point in booking a time slot, only to be queuing for 40 minutes for food? Someone needs to look into this, as it’s not a nice experience at all. We have been to several different Toby’s around the country, and this is by far the worst. Food is good, but extremely long wait times and queues almost out the door is not acceptable.

Kaya(raffle ticket 362) was our server, she was very welcoming, polite and happy. We had a lovely meal, the meat was very tasty cooked nicely and well presented. The carver was very friendly and generous with the meat. Plenty of veg choice, my only criticism was that the cabbage wasn't really cooked so was getting quite dry under the heat lamps. All in all a very tasty meal and will certainly return.

I do love a carvery and Toby do it well, great staff apart from the manager, who was a bit up himself and thought he was too important.

We wanted to experience an English roast and selected Toby's. Here it's all about the meat and you get plenty of it. Served as a buffet with a carving station and sides you need to be mindful, everything is hot to the touch. We were well fed.

Very busy and a good half hour wait in the queue for the carvery but the food was excellent and worth the wait. Also great value for money.

Arrived yesterday but was closed due to an electrical fault. Came today at 7:45 to find no beef and gammon running out. Very disappointed. Enjoyed the turkey and pork. Apple sauce had run out

I have just wasted my money on a takeaway, it was cold the gravy pot was spilt all over the tubs of dinner, it was a right mess I had to throw most of the roaster away they were black in side wjat a waste of money

First time trying a Toby breakfast buffet. ‘Greeted’ by a very stony faced waitress who was abrupt and rude. Buffet was decent, good for the price. Restaurant was clean and well looked after. Shame about the unfriendly staff, would put me off visiting again.

Sat outside in the garden as we had the dog with us. Plenty of water bowls were available for the dog. Service at the bar was brilliant, I wish I had got the gentlemans name who looked after us. He was so helpful and polite. There was a long queue for the carvery. However, it did move quickly, which was good with 3 hungery children! Plenty of choices of meats and vegetables, fresh tops up were being brought out regularly, lots of yummy gravy! Staff serving were pleasant. Plenty of veggie options available on the menu. The veggie pastry was timed to perfect as it was ready to collect when we got to the front of the queue. Large portion, which my step-daughter said was tasty. Puddings were brought out promptly after ordering, and the plates were cleared away. Great experience today. Thank you!
