I visited Toby Carvery Brockworth with my Mum on 2nd Feb 2025 and sat at our usual table 30. The staff at this Toby are always welcoming and friendly. We were greeted by Geoff or Jeff the manager, who's been at this Toby for at least 9 or 10 years. We were served by Lily G, who is new to us; she was welcoming, attentive, courteous and professional. The food was well presented and delicious. Looking forward to our next visit, on 20th Feb 2025, my Birthday. Many thanks Dave

I recently visited Toby Carvery and was truly impressed by the exceptional service and care provided by the staff. One team member, Jordan, went above and beyond—not just in delivering fantastic customer service but also in showing remarkable attention to my wellbeing. I suffer from a rare type of migraine, which can make dining out a challenge. Jordan made every effort to ensure my experience was as comfortable and stress-free as possible. She arranged a quiet, peaceful spot for me and my mum to enjoy our meal and even went the extra mile by turning off the music to create a more relaxing atmosphere. Jordan’s kindness and thoughtfulness are rare to find, and her actions made such a positive difference to my visit. The food, as always, was delicious, but it was Jordan’s incredible care and consideration that truly stood out. Toby Carvery has gained a loyal customer in me, and I can’t recommend them highly enough for not just their food but their amazing hospitality. Thank you, Jordan, for making my visit so memorable and comfortable!

We are always welcomed very warmly the staff are always pleasant and and friendly and give us time to settle. Our lovely server today was ella who was great from the start.she found us a cosy corner and brought our drinks.After our meal on leaving she gave us a ticket number 391 and asked to give a review of our visit which we were happy to do. If all your staffare like Ella it can only enhance peoplesexperience at this Toby carvery

Popped in as only me and hubby for tea. Have always had a reasonable meal here, but it's always the veg that let's it down, as the chefs don't refresh it enough, so can be cool and not hot, and the gravy is the same, hardly any left so not very hot.

I usually love the carvery but was very disappointed with the beef. Inedible.

I used to not enjoy the experiences at this Toby Carvey but ever since the refurbishment they have really out done themselves and improved every aspect of the experience. would now 100% recommend and will definitely be back

It’s ok but not the best today and I order regular from here eggs are undercooked very runny and messy plus asked for mushrooms instead of egg on 2 baps and got eggs maybe ran out of them but should of put eggs separate …..

Great place for unlimited breakfast, unlimited carvery. If you're on a budget and want a great bit of grub, this is your place. The staff are nice. Amy, who took my payment, was very pleasant and too the manager. The place is tidy, plenty of parking. Give it a go. What's not to like.

Good food,atmosphere and service.

Meat portions are far too small here and the roast potatoes were still raw in the centre. If you have all the meats its even more sparse . Thats the only thing that put us off coming again , even though we both work for m&b .

The carvery is lovely the food is hot and the veg is fresh. You have the option to upgrade your plate size and you have the option to get more veg as it is unlimited.

Had an amazing time celebrating birthdays and it was made even better by James the manager who was very attentive and made sure we had all what we needed amazing service and an amazing man 🙂

As usual, the food was delicious and the staff cannot be faulted. The carvery was quite busy, not quite the busiest we've ever seen it, but still plenty of customers, which shows how much people think of this carvery.

It's an ok place to go for a carvary diner

The food was ok, beef was a bit chewy, and veg was good. No complaints roast potatoes cooked in beef dripping was delicious, Deserts had to settle for what they had as they ran out of most what was on the menu, The staff were great and can not fault them all round a good meal.

We came on new years eve with friends and had a fantastic carvery and desserts. The food was all really hot and fresh with a good selection of vegetables on offer. The staff were welcoming and very attentive with food speedy service. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Our server Tilly was very helpful and prompt at clearing away the empty plates. She also brought our desserts out very quickly. Raffle tickets 397 and 383.

Promptly taken to our table. The waiter took our drink order whilst we decided what we wanted to order for lunch. Roast! Why else would you go to a carvery? After a bit of a queue, The chef was very helpful and allowed me to have nice thick slices of beef. Everything was superb, the beef dripping roasties and gravy get special mention. Pudding was equally as nice. The staff were friendly and attentive. All in all an excellent meal.

From start to finish it was a lovely experience. Good parking, warm welcome by bar staff, warm inside, beautiful ambience and music, absolutely stunning food, and our waitress was a credit to the business. She was calm and collected, polite and efficient. Even when faced with a very busy environment and a child vomiting. Two of your staff were highly impressive with the manner in which they very stealthily dealt with the situation. We stayed for drinks afterwards in the bar area, and are already hopeful of another visit asap. Thank you staff at Brockworth.

Lovely roast. The roast potatoes could have been cooked a little longer and it would be nice to have cabbage as an additional vegetable. The cauliflower cheese could have been a bit more cheesy. A nice satisfying lunch though. Promptly delivered.

food unfortunately arrived cold so had to heat up. also kids portion is the same size as adults but almost half the price! so please order kids carvery and save being over charged for no reason :)

You can't beat the food at the carvery. However we had a party of 16 and were put in the very end room. It was cold, we had to ask several times if the heating could be turned on as all the radiators were cold, and the end outside door was continually left open allowing a cold breeze to blow through the restaurant. The room lacked any atmosphere and unlike other tables there were no Xmas crackers supplied. The table was just far too large in a configuration that meant we were miles away from each other. A long table where you could sit opposite one another would've been better. Great food but ambience, atmosphere and temperature were awful

Fantastic value and quality, currently a patient in hospital and was in need of some good wholesome nutritional food. I chose beef only as my meat, I literally couldn't believe how much meat I had I needed to leave quite a bit, nice selection of carrots and cauliflower my only slight disappointment was that there were no roast parsnips and some Brussels sprouts would have been nice. Well done guys

The recently refurbished Toby is great. There’s plenty of space now around the counter area and it’s warm and inviting. We’ve been for breakfast and dinner here in recent weeks. Lovely food.

Just Eat = no complaints. Food = bad; roast potatoes were hard, too much mash, not enough vegetables, cauliflower cheese was cold, beef was full of fat so couldn't eat it. the only good point was the amount of gravy

This meal was not worth the money it consisted of nearly all mashed potato. There was one tiny slice of meat so small that I nearly missed it. I will not be ordering from here again when I receive my mail. It was cold even though it arrived on time. This was a complete waste of money.

Home of the roast ! It’s the best roast out there tasty and delicious. The best Yorkshire puddings and gammon I’ve ever had. Come here all the time . Served by Cuba - raffle number 282!!

The queue took an hour to get to the front even though fewer people than other Tobys. I would go again just to see if it was just a one-off.

Went here for a Christmas dinner with some friends. The carvery was really good, lots of choices and good selection. Out servers Lily D and Elissa were polite, friendly and attentive. Would recommend. (Raf no: 772)

Awesome service. Our server, Tilly was so patient and professional on our visit. We had family with us from overseas and she had to wait while everything was translated, to top it all she was really good with our 6 year old taking her food order and helping her choose dessert. Then she gave us raffle ticket number 55. Oh the food was great too

The service was mediocre , young staff that were reactive rather than proactive . The Buffett are needed cleaning as excess veg had dropped on the counter , but it wasn’t recent . The meat portions were generous, and most of the veg was available, apart from the sprouts and parsnips . The parsnips were replenished when we asked , we gave up on the sprouts . I was informed my shareholders discount voucher had been used before , which wasn’t the case . If it had , it wouldn’t be in my possession, as they are retained by the establishment. The waitress called the Manager and he sorted it quickly and efficiently. In summary , good value food with generous portions if you prefer .

Popped in for breakfast yesterday 1st December lovely restaurant. As for the food. Couldn’t get the bacon as all undercooked and stuck together The beans were just load of tomato slop juice. Hash browns overcooked to the extent you cut them no insides. Black pudding was dry and rock hard. Plus mushrooms had an awful taste. One of the worst experiences we have had. We usually use Toby at Bradley Stoke Bristol and always good. Won’t use this one again sadly

Although I have sent an email as requested by the Toby Carvery at Brockworth - I am yet to receive any type of response about our experience. This review is based on our experience at the carvery, we have dined here before for breakfast where everything was a 5/5 Long wait times to be sat on entry, staff walking past not acknowledging people waiting to be dealt with. Once sat, we all chose the carvery and my husband approached the bar to order. A lady server (who was very nice) came to take our order from the table, where I had mentioned my husband had gone to the bar to order, He returned, being told by the bar team he had to order food through the table team ( not at any point from being sat were we advised of this) Lady server returns, we explain what has happened, she advises we could order food at the bar (already a inconvenience and lack of team comms from management) We proceed to the carvery, where no one is serving, we wait 2/3 minutes and still no one, team members are replenishing the food, but again no acknowledgment, floor staff including a lady supervisor keep going into the kitchen but no one comes out to serve. We see kitchen staff keep coming up to the door window looking through and then walking back to the back of the kitchen. 5 minutes in and the queue is building behind us, and we start to hear grumbling from these people too. A manager walks into the kitchen audible calling for service, but it takes another 2/3 minutes for someone to come out. There was no apology, the kitchen staff looked miserable, and as soon as he had served the lady in front he disappeared back into the kitchen, and then another grumpy looking chef emerged, he was pedantic and nonchalant, someone asked for gammon, turkey and pork and he replied in a cocky manner…”so you want everything but beef then?!” I have no idea what the heck had been happening in that kitchen, but it was taken out on the customers. The food itself was fine, the beef had seen better days and was full of gristle. We complained about the beef, where the manager (who was friendly) told us we should have mentioned it to the kitchen team…( with that experience I think not) It was a good job the food was enjoyed by a majority of our party or it would have really soured the evening.
