I'm normally too full to have a sweet so loved the offer of 2 half courses for £8.99. Staff were friendly and helpful. Place was clean. Food was delicious. Plenty of parking.

We had lovely lunch today, seated promptly, staff are friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was yummy! Was having such a lovely time that we stayed for coffee and pudding. Will be sure to come again soon. Thanks Jo , luke and Pat for looking after us.

Easy to book a table online. We were welcomed and had attentive service throughout our meal from Pat and Luke . The menu was great. We would recommend the mint and pea risotto either with baked beetroot and butternut squash or with the sea bass. The blackberry and apple crumble pie was a winner as was the Bakewell tart!

Zoe and Luke . Looked after us very well. Food was really really good. Lovely relaxing evening. Really enjoyable night.

This is such a great pub. The staff were polite and friendly and happy too. The atmosphere was buzzing. The service for dinner was on point can’t fault it. Just go and see for yourself you won’t be disappointed. Great pub great food.

I booked a party of 18 for a 50th birthday celebration. From the start communication by phone was excellent, we live nr Bath and The Apple Tree is a halfway meeting point as most of the birthday boys family live in Birmingham; I even sent table decorations by post and they were more than happy to make the table look lovely. I sent meal choices 1 week ahead accept for 2 people and that was no problem; on arrival they were polite and friendly. Food came out hot and quite quickly and everyone seemed to enjoy the food , after our meal we sat outside on the patio area for birthday cupcakes and coffee A very nice time had by all and special thanks to Pat and John whom were our waiters .

It's a lovely location and the garden is great. But it is a Green King pub, so a bit generic. Could have done with a couple more staff on, but the staff that were there were lovely and professional.

My name is Willow and I have 4 legs and a very waggy tail. I visit the Apple Tree 3 to 4 times a week with my grandma and grandad. We have prosecco and San Miguel. Of course i just have mineral water to wash down the best sausages ever! All the staff are amazing, playing with me and tickling my belly. When we go for a walk I always try to drag my grandparents to my favourite place. Highly recommended to my doggy pals and their owners xx

Me and my parents came for Sunday lunch and were served by Lette today. She was lovely, friendly and very energetic. It was really nice to be served by her and her service was amazing! The food was great and we were very full. Every worker we encountered were well-mannered and chatty!

Me and my group of friends had a child free evening here the other night. It was wonderful the staff especially Zoe and Luke were so attentive. We were made to feel fully relaxed. So thank you it’s so nice to be able to feel like that. We had nibbles the Camembert sharing platter was fabulous we had three amongst 7 of us. It was perfect.

This pub is local to my boyfriends and so whenever we go home we always come to visit, very friendly atmosphere and great food - super reasonably priced. Lovely beer garden too for when the weather is on our side! Staff are very accommodating for requests whether that’s drink or food, and Luke behind the bar is always a good laugh. Would recommend this pub to families and groups of friends.

Came here for Father's Day and will never go back for food. The one positive of this review was the lady who served us on Sunday 16th (she was wearing a pink dress and did not catch her name). She was great, took our orders and was polite. Honestly 10/10. However this was the only good thing about the visit. Ordered the Roast Beef and was told it would come out pink. Great I thought as that is exactly how I like it. If you see the picture you will see the last time this piece of meat was pink was probably in 1985. Cooked within an inch of its life and tough as old boots. Utterly disgusting and when asked from another member of staff if the food was ok. I looked at the piece of meat said 'not really' and got a shrug of the shoulders and watched the member of staff walk off to the bar! A little (alot miffed) I looked round at my daughters roast dinner which was a kids portion and noticed the only difference was that it was served on a smaller plate. So for around £4 less if you order a kids roast dinner you get the same portion as an adult you just get it on a smaller plate! To confirm this I think it was the manager I spoke to as asked what was the difference between an adult and kids roast I got the reply 'Nothing'!! Not even a lame excuse just the brutal honesty of I should have known this and there is sod all I can do about it. So if you want a roast dinner that consists of one carrot cut into 4 pieces, a small piece of broccoli, roast potatoes that have come from a packet and possibly the most over cooked piece of roast beef ever known to man this is the place to get your over priced dinner from! If you want the same amount and same shoddy quality for less just order the kids meal (it is the same)

Visiting on Sunday and hadn’t booked! As it was early we were offered a table that wasn’t required till 2pm which was great. Felt really looked after from the moment we arrived. Lette was really attentive and made us feel very special! The food was lovely, I had steak and my partner had a vegan dish.. which he said was very tasty. A wonderful experience. Would have no hesitation recommending .

The worst experience ever . The food was shocking and arrived cold . Coffee and hot chocolate so watery . The only positive is the staff were very accommodating.

We went for a family lunch. All 5 of us were disappointed with the quality of the food. The cook didn't seem to have a clue how to prepare any of the dishes. Disgraceful!

We ate here on three evenings during a recent trip to the area. The first thing that attracted us to it was that it was open for food on a Monday evening. We felt very welcome - the staff were very attentive and friendly, especially Zoe. The menu has a good choice and the food was good. The prices are good, too. Even though there were a lot of people eating there, the wait for food was not too long. All these aspects led us back for two more evenings. Zoe was working on all three evenings and remembered us which we appreciated. I would recommend this pub to anyone looking for a pleasant pub atmosphere for a meal. We would all like to pass on our thanks to Zoe for her friendly yet professional manner.

A lovely family meal today. We all enjoyed our meals including the grandchildren. Would recommend the chicken and ham hock pie, salmon florentine and pork belly. Nice that you do the mini dessert with coffee. Thank you to Danny for great service.

The ambience of this pub is lovely and the staff extemely pleasant and helpful. However, the original glasses of wine served to us were stale and we were told that the bottle had been open for several days. One steak was very rare rather than the requested medium rare. To be fair the staff offered to put this right. My partner's desert to a long time to arrive and only after a reminder. Despite these issues, we would possibly visit again

Being valentine day booked this but they said it wasn’t but did have a table for us so starter was vegan squash ravioli which was good then had a fresh salad followed by vegan Bakewell with vegan ice cream my husband had chicken and hock pie followed by crumble tart which came with custard

Food is consistent with a chain pub. Not bad but it will all depend on how busy/organised they are that day. It’s not expensive so overall, I think they do reasonably well. Personally, I am glad children and families are sent home by 9pm as I don’t want to go to the pub to be hassled by other people’s children. Why don’t parents spent more time engaging with their children and teaching them table manners rather than ignoring them while the kids have a chimpanzee tea party? Also, while I am all for dog friendly pubs, I do take objection to the number of people who think it is ok for little (and big) pooches to be sat on the chairs eating titbits. Seriously!! I wouldn’t allow my children to stand on a chair or to put their naked bum on a chair so why do dog owners think it is appropriate for them to be allowed to do that. THEY ARE DOGS NOT PEOPLE AND ITS NOT HYGIENIC Well behaved dogs (proper dogs) welcome. Toilets in restaurant and bar areas desperately in need of refurbishment (missing locks and ill fitting seats) and some of the chair upholstery desperately needs redoing. Possibly ruined by ill behaved children and dogs? Otherwise, good pub, nice staff , good garden area, fair prices, everyone trying hard but improvements please in customers language ( I hate the F & the C words when I am trying to relax and enjoy a glass of wine with family), loos and soft furnishings.

Lovely atmosphere for my daughters birthday, the food was excellent, there was 12 of us all meals were served hot, the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Visited with three friends and our four dogs for mid-week lunch. Phoebe was very welcoming and happy to discuss dietary preferences of one of our party. Meals and drinks were served fairly promptly - my pie was delicious. We would definitely return!

We went for my birthday with friends, the lady that looked after us was called Karyn she said she had only been there a week, but you would never have thought that, shes so friendly and helpful always asking if everything was ok, she was very professional but also really interacted with me and my friends, she's a great asset to this place and i hope she will be there for our next visit. Thank you Karyn for giving me a fun filled birthday 🎂

Arrived late Sunday afternoon. Found a table easily. Staff were really pleasant and friendly. Service was good. We all had roast dinners which were fine, however the gravy on the turkey roast was thick, lumpy and looked like it had been sitting on the meal for an hour under some kind of food heater before being served. There was no way that a chef would pour that gravy on a fresh dinner. It was obvious that the turkey meal had been sat with the gravy already on it for some time Once the large lumps of gravy had been scrapped off the meal it was ok. Probably will visit for a drink but not food again

Just left after having a lovely meal at The Apple Tree. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Phoebe was our waitress and didn’t leave us waiting for anything! Our drink order was done efficiently as we were seated, food order shortly after. She was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely come back again

I love this pub. It has a nice warm atmosphere. Plenty of parking and great food. They also have great staff. Phoebe was so welcoming, warm & helpful. She also provided a separate menu for Gluten free options.

Had friends visiting from Glasgow and decided to eat at the Apple Tree last Tuesday. So glad we booked as it was really busy with a lovely atmosphere. Zoe the waitress was terrific, very efficient and friendly. Our only disappointment was finding out they had just one seafood risotto left 😥 However the other choices were delicious too. Our friends were very impressed with this wee gem of a pub on our doorstep.

We had our first visit to the Apple Tree on Saturday evening. Food was excellent, staff very friendly, courteous and attentive and the atmosphere was good. Will be back again for sure.

A Sunday lunchtime in August was lively. The bar packed with locals and their dogs created a warm atmosphere. The food and service was very good particularly as it was busy.

As usual great service it was a bit late so phone in advance the lady on the phone said no problem. Great service good food value for money what more do you want 😀

on my weekend, I came here with friends to relax, but I got a little stressed. when the guy was taking orders, he mixed everything up. and to my surprise he went home. what? we waited a long time for our order. then the fish we ordered was not ordered in it. service 0. service 0! I will never come here again.

Havent eaten here yet but the food smells amazing so will be back. Has a garden with plenty of sun and shade, dog friendly and generally just lovely

Stopped in for lunch. We had a really tasty meal, beer was excellent. Three young ladies working that day were super friendly and made our visit the most pleasant indeed. I'd definitely recommend this pub for a visit.

Haven't been here for years. Lovely gammon steak and chips with fried egg and gammon. Friendly service. Quiet at 3pm, road to pub closed so had to make a bit of a detour probably reason why. Worth it though.

Absolutely stunning pub, great vibes and friendly atmosphere. I Was looked after by Becca throughout my visit and considering it was the races, she did a brilliant job. Cannot fault this place and would recommend.
