Went on a Tuesday lunchtime Amazing. Just amazing. Atmosphere was quiet but peaceful, Staff are lovely and friendly The katsu was more of a fresh flavourful curry sauce but am not complaining at all. Chips were salted and crunchy. The creamy mushrooms had a lovely sauce and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The pizzas are incredibly fresh and seemingly made to order. Arguably the best pub pizza I've ever had. Overall, I wish we had something like this closer to home!

A delightful gem nestled in the charming town of Bradford-on-Avon, The Bridge Tea Room offers a quintessentially English experience that shouldn't be missed. From the moment you step inside this characterful establishment, you're welcomed by a team of remarkably attentive staff. The young ladies who serve here are particularly noteworthy - warm, caring and genuinely kind in their approach to customer service. The food is simply excellent. Each dish is prepared with care and quality ingredients, resulting in a truly satisfying culinary experience.

On our holiday we had passed the Rydon Inn a couple of times and thought it looked nice. As it was our Silver Wedding Anniversary we decided to stop there on way back from Bude and have a drink and book it for the evening for a nice meal. It was a lovely day so we sat outside. When we went to order drinks a very rude woman snapped “are you eating”? I said no but we wanted drinks and were looking to book for the evening. When asked for how many I said three adults and a dog. She then snapped “we don’t do bookings for dogs”. We looked puzzled and she said “you can’t come inside you have to sit outside”. She then said “if we’re busy we won’t get round to you for a while as our customers inside the restaurant take preference”. It was very clear that although this is a lovely pub with beautiful garden it is not at all dog friendly (no water for dogs on a very hot day). There is nothing for children either and it seems they are only catering for a certain local clientele. They could be a very lucrative business if they catered for holidaymakers with children and dogs too. Such a shame as gorgeous pub but get rid of rude woman. I see by other reviews that we are not the only ones to think this.

Called in for lunch after visiting a relative nearby. We had a very friendly greeting and were directed to the courtyard which is covered but it feels like it is outside, we were a family group of 3 generations and there was something on the menu for everyone. I went for the special - sausage and mash and It was very good value for money. Both my(adult) daughters .said they wouldn’t be able to eat anything for the rest of the day. I’m just sad we didn’t have enough room for a dessert! We will definitely call in again when in the area.

We went to buy fish and chips as part of our usual day after Mayday routine. The first part of the problem was when a quarter of our order wasn’t in the bag which wasn’t discovered until we were at the other side of the quay. The main problem however was the size and quality of the cod portions. The box had far too many chips and on the top was the thinnest portion of fish we had ever seen. Usually this place is outstanding but maybe it had reduced its portion size but kept the same cost (£13) just to fleece Mayday goers?? Whatever the reason, it was disappointing to say the least.

Really great peaceful setting. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The food is brilliant. The Pork, Mussels and Fish Stew made for a great lunch. Plus the bar makes a very good bloody Mary. I would eat here every week if I could. Quality all round.

My wife and I had lunch and drinks. We found the staff attentive and very efficient, especially on arrival. We had booked a table last minute but we're accommodated as if we had booked weeks ahead. I had the fish & chips which was fantastic, my wife's meal was equally tasty and filling. For the price, well you can't beat the value. Overall we had a lovely visit and will be returning soon.

We visited this pub which we have wanted to visit for a long time and finally got the chance. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. We booked for 7.30 as were told a large party were booked for 7pm. The menu was limited and we were told no fish and chips available. Not all the large party were there, some of them arriving after us and most of them had pre ordered the fish and chips! It was extremely loud and sadly we didn't really enjoy our food. Our nachos were very dry and the scampi was ok at best. We might try again at a less busy time. Love the history of this pub.
