Wow, we had the best breakfast today at the Harvester in Willowbrook but nothing could beat the service. Berta, was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and swift to take our order and bring our food over. It was a pleasure to speak with Berta, and the Harvesters are lucky to have such an amazing member of staff. Best customer service I have received in a long time 👌

We haven’t been for a while but we thought that we would give the breakfast ago. Upon arrival we were surprised to see only 2 people in the restaurant it took a very short time to find out why. We both ordered the classic breakfast the sausage’s were cremated by only Luke warm at best. The mushroom was cooked but was at the temperature of just coming out of the fridge as was the tomato, hash browns had a vague Luke warmth about them as was the bacon. The only thing on the plate that was hot was the eggs but being served on cold plates in a cold restaurant that were themselves cold in a very short time. All in all a totally disappointing experience which we will not be repeating. Would have complained if asked how the food was but didn’t see the server after she delivered the food until I went to look for her to pay.

Great place for a family meet up. Surprise get together for my Dad's 80th. A total of 10 people. They were all so helpful, took the birthday cake straight off me and into the kitchen to keep cool. Swiftly took the drinks order and got it right first time. Took food order careful to ensure everyone got what they wanted how they wanted it. All came together no one left waiting. Same with puddings. No problem with splitting the bill.

Went for lunch as I had a discount voucher and the food was delicious. We were served by Berta who was lovely, she explained how the voucher worked and was very polite and patient (although I’m sure she must have already explained how it worked over 100 times before to different customers) it wasn’t a problem, she was very professional which added to the enjoyment of the experience

Waited 45 minutes for drinks and a hour for our food, I believe our waitress forgot about us and we was not informed of any wait times, this was a horrible evening we arrived at 6:40 than didn’t get our drinks until 7:30 our food came at 7:50 we will not be returning and nothing was rectified with us what was even more disappointing seemed like no one cared about there guests, if approached With a genuine apology or anything would have prevented me writing this.

Me and my family have visited today we booked online and the only times they had left were 7:30pm. So we booked the table for 5 of us, when we got there we were told that there is a 5 minute wait for someone to take your drink order and 10-15 minute wait for food. Which was fine but when it takes over 2 hours to have a main meal and pay, that's a bit of a joke.I felt sorry for the lady that was helping us, she was running round here there and everywhere bless her. She was lovely but definitely should have had some help. The man that bought the food over wasn't helpful at all and was ignorant. Think he might have been a manager because he was wearing a white shirt which is different to the rest. One of us had a burger which was burnt to a crisp that she couldn't even eat it, my mums chicken stack was cold, which could have been because we had to wait a while to get someone's attention to ask for salt and sauces. My steak was also cremated. Overall the food was awful, we had a 50% of voucher but I still thought the price was too much for what we got and the quality of the food. When it came to paying 3 of us left and the other 2 stayed to pay because we were waiting just under half an hour to have the card machine bought over to pay.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy but still took a long time. One lady seems to be doing everything. My food was cold but I’m not sure if it was because it took so long to get salt and sauces. We decided not to wait any longer for dessert so asked for the bill. Once we had the bill given to us we had approximately 30 minutes to then pay. In the end most of us went home and left 2 people there to wait and pay. The man who was serving was quite ignorant and unhelpful. Will not be returning.

Desperately short staffed strange as half term? Plus an offer kids eat for a quid or something? On entering family behind said dont bother we had to wait 45 mins for our food but we carried on regardless, food ok for warmed up frozen food no criticism here as we all know it is as do I on entering the restaurant, ordered the half chicken half ribs but on arrival received more like a chicken nugget! However agnes the waitress who was flat out non stop! Sorted this out immediately said it was a silly mistake by the chefs, partner had a burger said it was fine, ribs have a extremely skinny amount of meat on them but overall it was ok for a quick bite, didnt leave hungry food was edible and gave agnes a nice tip as she didnt stop working the whole hour we were there she actually combatted any issues with her professional friendly attitude, salad cart was ok, clean tables covid rules adhered to, food not fantastic but good effort

Myself , my wife and our Grandson visited his afternoon (Wednesday) for a meal. The first time since reopening after lockdown.The service was very good and attentive, and the meals were very good too. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My wife and I had Sirloin Steak, and we both agreed that they were each, one of the best sirloins that we have had anywhere. They were a good size, cooked as each requested, and were extremely tender. The only fault really was that the onion nests were very greasy. Choice of salad was not as comprehensive maybe as it used to be, but was perfectly adequate.It was not our first visit to this restaurant, and certainly won't be the last.

Last Sunday (4th October) we went to this Harvester as we have been a great many times before. Unfortunately since their refurbishment the prices have risen but the service/quality of food has gone down. We were there to celebrate birthday but on telling our waitress this she totally ignored my comment so no “happy birthday” comment, so no personality! We were not told to go to the salad bar after ordering so by the time we had got the salad our meals arrived so became a rush. The onion rings were as hard as rock, the chips were hardly warm so we left much of the food as was un edible. After many years going here we will not be going there again which is sad as we always enjoyed our visits up to this visit. I can only guess we had a new waitress and chef in there.

We enjoyed lunch from the special lunch menu. Reasonably priced and a good choice of about 6 main course options We both enjoyed the chicken burger on a toasted brioche bun and shared a sizeable dessert. We were well looked after by staff, particularly Chloe. We felt safe and saw more Covid safe measures than we’ve seen recently in some venues and staff were reassuringly aware of the need to be careful. Separate entrance and exits, plenty of room between tables, lots of cleaning, one way system, staff take you to the salad bar and serve you and refillable drinks are brought to your table. I would agree with previous reviews that I would prefer to see staff wearing a mask or face shield, but we went the day before that became the rule.

we went to the harvester Bradley Stoke last night 9th September,before we were shown to our seats we were told the only food available was chicken or burger and only one sort of burger, no fish no steak no salmon or prawns, I asked why they didn't have enough food in,I was told because of the 50% off it was all gone,this was 6pm, I booked a week ago and they said they were already full, so they should have made sure there was enough food in the kitchen,makes me wonder if they only wanted to serve chicken or one sort of burger, the staff were working very hard,on the go constantly,the burger was very nice,salad bar nowhere near as good as it used to be.

We have eaten here many a time and generally been happy with the food and service. Unfortunately, this was not the case on this occasion, when we went with our granddaughter. They appeared to be short staffed or something and we waited for ages to pay the bill. We could see the poor girl was running around trying to serve all the tables so to try and help and save her some time, we paid the bill (including a tip) on the app. However, we still waited for the waitress to attend our table, as we wanted to benefit from the loyalty offer, where you collect virtual 'stamps' for a free meal on the app as an incentive to eat there regularly. On attending, the waitress said it wasn't possible for us to have these stamps as we had already paid. We asked to speak to the manager about this, who was really unhelpful and dismissive and just said he would contact the tech dept (which he never did). He also stated that even if we could have used the offer, only one of us in the party would have been able to receive the loyalty stamp, which is incorrect, as it clearly states in the T&C of the offer that "One loyalty stamp is given PER APP, PER DAY when a full-priced adult main meal is purchased", of which there were two such meals purchased on this occasion, so the staff (and manager) clearly need training on this, plus it should be made clear that you don't get the offer if you pay for the bill first. I called the restaurant after leaving and left a message on the answerphone for the manager to call me back about this, but never received a call. So much for loyalty and customer service ...

Booked a table for breakfast at 9am, we were seated and then no sign of a waiter/waitress until 9:40.....yes 40 mins with no order, no drinks, not anything. When the waitress finally arrived I complained about the wait and she told me her shift only started at 9.30 - so why we (and several other tables) had been seated in this area like idiots for 30 mins when the waitress wasn't even at work is beyond me!We were then told that only scrambled egg was available, as it was ready made and they were out of eggs. Later told that also out of veggie sausages and tomatoes.When the food came (75 mins after we booked a table for and sat down...bare in mind this was just for 3 cooked breakfasts) it was mostly cold and unappetizing. The same thing happened to the table next to us - who when their food arrived stone cold, said they had to go so couldn't wait any longer for fresh hot food so left refusing to pay the bill (rightly so). I would usually have refused to pay as well since it was SO bad, but as I was in a hurry I'd asked for the bill and paid before the food arrived.NEVER RETURN!

I booked a table for three on the website for the 4th August at 8:15pm (this was the earliest time available) to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out offer. The booking was successful and I received confirmation via email.We were all very much looking forward to the meal as we have enjoyed eating here before and this was to be the first time doing so for several months. After spending some time getting ready we left for the restaurant and arrived at the car park at 8:05pm. We were just about to get out of the car when the restaurant called to cancel the booking as there was nowhere to seat us. With only 10 minutes notice! She did apologise, although not the most professional apology I have ever received as I was referred to as 'sweet' even though my name is clearly on the booking. She advised the late notice was due to her only just being able to get into the office and that the website should not have allowed me to book. And that was it. No offer to book us in for tomorrow. Just sorry and goodbye.Giving customers 10 minutes notice of a cancelled booking is completely unacceptable. With earlier notice we would have had the chance to make alternative arrangements. We were really looking forward to eating at the Willow Brook and thought we'd do our bit to help an industry that has been hit hard by Covid-19 and this is how we are treated. All I can say is that the problems currently facing the hospitality sector must be grossly exaggerated if this is level of service on offer. This was such a disappointing experience that I decided not to book here the following day and booked a table at Frankie and Benny's instead. I booked on their website where it clearly stated that the sitting would be restricted to 1hr 15mins to ensure as many people could dine as possible (something I suggest Harvester introduces to avoid a repeat of what happened to us). Although the restaurant was busy we were seated with no issues and, as it happens, we weren't restricted to 1hr 15mins after all. Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.And yes, I have made a complaint on their website.

My family and myself visited on the 10th August as part of the government scheme. I have made booked a table before hand, I then received a text confirming it and then a email couple of days later explaining how they are now operating because of Covid. We arrive and was a greeted by a man, sanitizer was there for us to use but they did not say we had to use it. We got seated to our table and our waitress arrived and took our order. Afterwards she took us to the salad bar and she made up our bowls and got the fizzy drinks for us. All food was great but I think they need to put a member of staff by the salad bar as you could see the waitress where kept very busy with taking orders and helping people at the salad bar. Not sure why no staff are wearing face masks or face coverings considering they are putting the plates and drinks down right in front of you!!! Aside from that it was a good visit and the food was very good.

We BOOKED a table for this evening. Told on arrival "very sorry but the is a 45 min wait for food as we did not anticipate it being so busy". We were shown to our table then left for 25 minutes while 1 poor waitress tried to deal with table after table. When she finally came to us she could not guarantee it wouldn't be another hour before the food came. Not acceptable. Ended up paying for KFC next door. I wouldn't mind if we were walk ins but we actually BOOKED. Manager should have prioritised bookings over walk ins.

As I arrived I had to wait a few mins but the floor was spotless and it looked very clean.I was approached by a very handsome mid 30s man with a Receding hair think his name was Hayden. Hayden was very friendly and escorted me to my table, he asked me if I have visited a Harvester before I briefly responded with a no as I'm not from these ends, Hayden explained that I get the salad cart with any main meal which was perfect as I was on a diet. The waitress was very friendly and fit name was lauren I believe. Lauren also explained the salad cart to me and asked if I have any allergies, I responded quickly with if I say yes do I get kicked out which made her laugh but she said no it's just for safety so the chef will know. Anyway I said that's all good then but I dont anyway. I took a peak at that drinks meal when I was seated I was surprised by the wide variety they had from non alcoholic to alcoholic drinks so I enquired about what they had on tap, I was disappointed with the lack luster with only three thatchers, Carling and San miguel. So I decided to go with a bottle of bubbly,Prosecco to go with my bubbly personality I told lauren while winking at her trying to show her some signs. I received my bottle of Prosecco I told her she could keep the glass as I drink straight out the bottle keeps the bubbles contained. I took a long look at the meal which was absolutely massive barely fitted on my table and It was double sided which I didn't know about until after I order I was just wondering what happened to the nice foldable meals as I said I'm not from these ends. Lauren then took my order with a smile I first asked for Jerk chicken but she said they didn't have it as they are coming up to a meal change so it limited at the moment so I went for the ultimate mix grill in the end which I had medium rare. When the food came it was plate with passion and I can tell the chef really took care as I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture but the food was gorgeous. The steak was delicious and had a lovely line of red like the red sea, a really melt in the mouth performance by the chef. When I was finished I asked what the chefs names who made that master piece, Lauren informed me if was a chef called Jordan on the grill and kieran plating. I told her to tell them that was the best meal I ever had, they should all get a pay rise. After my meals I got the bill and it was a great price for the quality of food I had, I will be returning to that harvester on the March 25th on the meal change, I dont even care that it's not my ends because the food was brilliant.

Kids insist coming here regularly but I am not a fan - today confirmed why! Wanted Camembert and Cherry Tomato flan but they had ran out so had no choice but Scampi as a vegetarian ...pointed to on the 2 courses for £8.99 menu. Bill comes and charged full price £1049 initially response was your have to have a dessert’ so I said I would order a dessert and not eat it - I was then told ‘well you shouldn’t have been given that menu as it finishes at 5pm’ I believe it was the manager who gave it me!!! No apology! Yet again a let down!

There is a huge choice of meals here plus the unlimited salad bar. You can also have a set meal of 2 or 3 items which is much cheaper than ordering separate items. The food I had was cooked to perfection. Condiments by the dozen are freely available. I Only had a soft drink but from what I could see the bar was stocked with every conceivable drink. All in all I couldn’t fault this restaurant and if you just want good down to earth cooking this is the place to go.

Started off well 20 minutes after ordering my friends food arrived, mine didn’t arrive for another 10 minutes after that and then the order was correct so had to wait again. Waitress didn’t ask us how our food was. she eventually came to collect the plates and ask us if we wanted pudding, after bringing the bill she took another 10 minutes to bring the card machine over My friends chips were also cold as were my onion rings. Sun evening waited to be seated because at least 10 tables were not cleared,ordered ribs chicken combo and pork belly both sadly poor, pork belly was tough as old boots unedible,and the roast potatoes were beige in colour so were left alone,ok we all know its warmed up microwaved food but still, chips were like squashy gooey anaemic rushed so left them also,ordered 2 drinks on arrival after 15 minutes went to find the waiter to which he replied "sorry I forgot". We were sat amongst 3 uncleared dirty tables throughout our 1 hour visit, woefully disappointed terribly under staffed, it's not the ivy I know plus you do get what you pay for obviously, however should be at least be able to eat some of it! Time for a harvester sabbatical

I had a delicious prawn starter followed by possibly the best chicken, ribs and chips I'd ever had. The pudding was the only minor disappointment - I went for the cookies and cream pie, which didn't taste quite as good as I had hoped. The service was excellent though and the cost was reasonable enough, and overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal out.

Breakfast was served cold, scrambled eggs were overcooked and like rubber. Staff were all very busy. Didn't get chance to find someone to complain to, paid by the app and sent complaint in. The response from harvester was that I should of complained at the time in the restaurant, not sure why they bother having a customer service email contact if they are not interested. Disgusting food, shocking customer service.

Great place to eat...excellent service from Jacob. (I think that was his name...very sweet man with wonderful hair!) Nothing was too much trouble. The meal came out lovely and hot...salad bar fresh and completely stocked. Very reasonably priced especially with 40% off from a voucher on the app (it’s worth getting the free app as there are often great special offers on there). Can’t fault this Harvester it’s improved greatly since it first opened and it’s a pleasure to go for a meal here.

Had my breakfast there today with my mum and it was really good. We were served by Gemma and she was such a lovely person and she had amazing nails I will definitely be going back and hopefully be served by Gemma again I hope she will be getting something from the company for being such a good colleague.

Popped in on the 28th November only saw 6 people eating and we where kept waiting for about 10 minutes straight away we got asked “have you booked” we said no the lady said we are fully booked for the next hour (up to 6.30pm) husband asked that the place was empty she said sorry we are fully booked, we assumed she was joking but she was very serious, not sure if she was having a bad day or she gets told to say this!!!So we left then decided to book on line and guess what there was loads of bookings left.. so we booked for 6pm returned and got seated seated straight away by a lovely young lad (blonde hair). He took our order and drinks order straight away. He made this visit a enjoyable one, wish we got his name .He is a credit to you.

Went for a family celebration, service was OK. It was really cold in the restaurant,we like some other customers had their coats on,I asked the waitress if the heating was on. She said it was broken but usually nice & warm.We had our meals which were good.We asked for dessert menu's & were told the ice cream machine was broken so couldn't have any of the sundaes.We were really disappointed with these 2 issues as we were all looking forward to all being together but it was spoilt

Very poor service. Our visit coincided with our waitress’s change of shift and our food sat on the service hatch for 10 minutes. We had to find another waitress to ask for it. Then my burger was burnt and was missing the bacon but nobody checked whether we were happy with our food so had to hunt someone down again. We won’t be returning.

I used to come here a lot and never had any complaints to make. The unlimited salad bar is great as always. However; on my most recent visit I was waiting for almost an hour for my food when the restaurant wasn’t busy. My chicken tasted mushy on the inside and overdone on the outside, my tender stem broccoli was burned in the top and rock hard on the bottom. The staff are lovely but the food is not the standard it used to be

We come here often as it’s convenient and we love the salad bar (although miss the tomato couscous, the new one is pretty rank - sorry) There’s so many brilliant offers on on the harvester app too so we make the most of those. I’m a stifler for good customer service, it sets the entire ambience and experience of a place and we always have top notch service from the staff, Michelle especially is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome (thank you Michelle x) Salad cart is normally pretty well stocked and food is always good, loving the fact harvester caters for us vegans :D

We went out of our way to come to the Willow brook today and... we were not disappointed. Everyone was very friendly, our server Ella was great! She looked after us and even brought us out an ice cream for our son when he decided to fall off his chair to cheer him up. You cant teach that cant kind of customer service. The food was awesome as well and great value.

Staff were very prompt and food was ordered quickly, it arrived hot and well presented lots of choice. the inside seemed a bit dark, the breakfast bar was not explained but the choices need to be looked at as lots of choice of sides was limited use to have raspberries but seem to be not there and prunes were also available unlimited drinks machine has been re-located think this need to go back to where it was before as all of the central area is used for toast, tea etc tea used to be on the bar the central area gets busy so need to re-think this

Recently refitted, the Harvester offers tasty food at reasonable prices. We really enjoy the unlimited cooked breakfast - a massive choice of freshly cooked food, cereals, continental breakfast range. Definitely worth visiting. It gets busy, so best to book. I user their app. You can also use it to settle the bill, if you are in a hurry.

Don’t bother eating here, the food was dry, over cooked, poor quality and over priced. The salad bar was messy with some empty dishes, very unappetising. My meal should have come with a jacket potato but they had run out so I was offered chips, rice or sweet potato fries instead....they had the cheek to try and charge us an extra £1.50 for any of these! The steamed vegetables were no bigger than a spoonful of peas, 2 tiny pieces of carrot and green beans which came with approx one table spoon of bland gravy. All in all a disgusting meal. The other meals were no better. The loos were dirty with lightbulbs missing. The whole place looked like it needed a deep clean. The other meals served to my family were no better with my husband being ill when he got home. The bosses of this business should be ashamed of themselves for ripping people off like this. Awful experience.

After a long day of travelling, we had a strong desire to pub lunch. Thus, we were enthused to discover a harvester en route, excited to see a half price deal, exasperated to hear that a reservation might be required, and elated to find that seats were available. On arrival, the delightful Chloe took our order and excellently navigated the request for a "camels worth of water" producing a magnificent mountain of jugs.

The whole restaurant has been re vamped, now consists of mainly small square tables - so booths are available - when for breakfast - they seem to have down scaled the what is the salad bar - not a lot of choice there anymore and all the toast and tea and juice area seem to be all in the same place so if there are lots of people there could cause a fuss with lots of people. Waited for the staff to show us to our table- before there was always someone available, The plates have all turned into square or oblong my food arrived on three different plates - part of the order was forgotten and arrived too late to eat with breakfast - would only now visit if no where else was available. Needs to have a large print menu available for people with sight problems

The Menu tweaks over recent years from this restaurant chain has not always been in their best interests. The combinations not always suitable for us. The portion sizes have shrunk, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the prices have gone up significantly.

First off the staff are rude!! Salads was ridiculously dry, was hideous.. the food was bad but he service was even worse the girls attitudes are vile, the manager was even more vile shouting across the restaurant, was rude to my family members, called the other staff out to come stare at us!! I will never go back again I advice no one to go either!!!! Found hair in serval of are foods and human faeces on the toilet floor!!

Refused a table because all the vacant tables were ALL booked for the following hour, despite the couple before me being given a table without booking. I believe this was because they didn't want to "waste" a table with one diner on a Saturday night.

Took my nephew for lunch. I had steak in bun. My nephew had fish which I gave to say was terrible. Very overlooked he could hardly cut it. No white fish just brown fish, my meal, was lovely my husbands chicken was great. But my poor nephew fish was awful. One time the fish in the harvester was lovely, but the last twice has been awful. I did ask to see manager, our lively waitress said she would come over but never arrived. And we had to leave . The lovely thing about this testaurant is the wonderful staff. Courteous kind and very helpful. But I don't know happens to fish. I showed the waitress who said she would send manager over, but didn't come. I will say they were really busy, but so disappointing again.

While doing a bit of shopping we popped into the harvester at willow brook for a spot of lunch . This is the first we have been in here for a while as the last time we were here was not good . I glad to say this time was totally different the lady who waited on our table was friendly and very helpful. We used the app and got 50% main meals so it was great value. Really pleased this restaurant is getting back to the standards of a few years ago and we will be back again soon . Well done .

Just had a family lunch of 11 of us. The service was impeccable, the variety of food on offer was sufficient and different from usual pub fayre with very tasty curries. Biryani was full of flavour, with good vegetarian and children's options. Trad Sunday lunch excellent with fresh veg. The staff were so friendly and attentive on what was a very busy day. Decor and cleanliness tip top. A real pleasure, we were looked after very well from start to finish. Prices reasonable too, although the desserts may need to be rebalanced between cost and quantity. A lovely lunch for all. Thank you. Steve + 10

Take a punt on the Grumpy Griffin. It might be your lucky day but then again you might regret it. A mixed set of results from customers. Mine was negative. No real ale. Only a few peeps on Sunday mid-afternoon and one was drunk as a Lord and seemingly spoiling for trouble. Background music was fine. Quality tv showing a premiership game. Just cider, lager and Guinness on tap. Feels like a local pub where others are not made welcome.

It's quite a nice place for lunch and drink. The food is nice, and the atmosphere is good. Free, spacious car park, although I would recommend making a booking as it can be quite busy as well.
