Great place to socialise, warm and friendly atmosphere any time of the week, good selection of drinks, a safe environment if you want to bring the children, great for sports coverage with lots of screens and to top it off, very warm and welcoming landlord and landlady.

I provide karaoke at The Old Plough and the landlords are lovely, staff are friendly, the pub is clean and the atmosphere is fun!

Discusted that children were allowed after 09.00. In fact a 6 month old Baby was still in there’s at 12.00 midnight and was gaa asking its nappy changed at gone/2.00’- sorry. Bit I don’t go out to have children around - they should be a bed m!

Very friendly staff, excellent atmosphere,great place for all sporting events on numerous televisions Sky BT and Amazon Prime available unfortunately the rugby was on,what with not being a rugby fan but it goes to show that all sporting tastes are shown (even if it is rubbish) As a drinker of Budweiser excellent value for 3 for £8.50.

It's a shame that the website is very out of date as we dropped by on route for a day out and we're told that there was no food served there and hadn't been for 15 months due to a management change.We were allowed to buy chips from the chippy next door and eat them there which was a surreal experience.

Great local pub! Always something on most weekends. Great place to meet friends. Spacious and lots of fab deals on the drinks! Especially a Friday £12.49 for a bottle of prosecco. Bar staff are very accommodating! Great place for a Friday or Saturday night fun!

Disappointing re-opening of what was Theoc House and The Plough before that. Tewkesbury needed an up market food pub, not another boozer with pool table and people smoking blocking the entrance.

The landlord /sorry but his customer service is dreadful The staff are so love I feel Sorry for them.

The pub is much better than The Kingswood Colliers, or as some locals like to call it "the spoons". However, due to some previous complaints, the fry up was no longer being made. But they did have a smaller version which is shown in the photo.

Manager/owner was very rude and aggressive, not only did he shout in my face but my young daughters face as well. Won’t be going back any time soon.

Great little pub with plenty of indoor seating. They have a few games machines and a dart board. Bar service was quick with a wide selection of drinks and snacks to choose from. Never ordered any food from the menu so can't comment on that. Parking can be difficult as shared with shops nearby.

Myself and my family have taken to using this pub regularly since Pete has taken over. It is always clean and tidy, serves good beer, and has a wide selection of food available. Yes it can get a bit manic during busy periods but that all adds to the atmosphere of the place. Always keen to visit as it is close to where I live and it has ample parking available.

Wanted to give this place another chance to try out their new menu. Huge sign outside had said new menu from Wednesday. We went to try out the new menu at 6pm on the Saturday. I'd say that was pretty much prime time for those wanting to eat! But no such luck. When politely asked if they were doing food (as we couldn't see anyone else eating), the reply was an abrupt 'no.' No apology, no explanation, no nothing - just no. How can you promote a new menu on one day then not be serving it just three days later? The large sign outside on Westons Way continues to promote this 'new' menu. But this pub just seems to serve food when it feels like it. So to save yourself any disappointment, I'd reccommend you phone in advance to double-check they are serving. Don't believe the sign and get caught out!

The food here is better than you'd expect. There's a decent menu and it's really good value for money with hearty portion sizes. However, it's a real local's local and if you aren't a regular, everyone will know. The staff and locals are friendly enough but everyone else around you will know each other. It's the kind of place that everyone stops and looks as you walk in the door! Also, make sure you phone ahead to check they are doing food - there are sometimes parties/live music/BBQs for the locals (usually bank holiday weekends) and on those days the kitchen is rather inconveniently closed. It also gets busy and there's often very little hope of finding a space in the car park at weekends so you'll be parking on the road. It's also a popular lunchtime stop for the recycling/trash collectors. The landlords are a friendly couple who have been there a good few years now. But it's also worth noting that they don't like splitting bills for the convenience of diners. On one occasion the owner said he couldn't take separate card payments and instructed the diners (some of which had young babies in their arms) to go outside to the cashpoint.

Have recently moved into the area so this pub is very much my local. It's very much what you would expect from a local boozer, local people and very friendly staff. It's not a gourmet restaurant but the food available here is fantastic for the price, definitely great value for money. If you live close by, it's a must as their are very few local pubs that offer what this establishment does. If you're passing through then a great place to eat and experience that good old fashioned local pub atmosphere.

My first visit at the plough. Warm and cosy as you walk in. The pub obviously has a loyal customer base (customers seem to know each other and the names of the staff). Big menu with lots of options. I ordered one of the beef burgers which came with bacon and bbq sauce. The beef itself was juicy, I don't think the bbq sauce works with the burger but that's just my personal opinion (and I don't really like bbq sauce anyway). The chips were good- chunky and crispy. For dessert I ordered an apple & pear crumble which was smashing! Probably one of the best pub desserts I've ever had. The plough is inexpensive, staff are brilliant, food is delicious. Definitely will return and I recommend this pub to anyone who is thinking of dropping by. :-)

We visited as a result of the pub we were booked at was unable to serve food due to a fire, & was a late a booking for 11 elderly people. Everything was good the friendly staff, excellent food, good quick service & very reasonable price. All round we had a very enjoyable lunch.
