Great service as they served us even though 15 minutes to closing time for food. Great food.

Not really the type to complain but this here is a crime ! A robbery in broad daylight ! Ordered a lovely pint of Guinness as the sun is out and they’ve given me this glass instead of the proper Guinness one! Absolutely fumin ruined my day 🙂

I Have to say the service is Top notch on amazing the people the staff the way they took care in dealing with ones order we had no fault at all , To top it the one who cooked the food even actually came out and presented me personally with a great meal in such a nice manor cant fault the place ..If You get the chance Order the ice cream its truly the best in Bristol ,Coming from a real ice cream fan...overall, The Food the Place is one to bring the family and friends to .

Enjoyed the burger. Very varied choice on Grill options, multiple burgers. Very decent prices. Service is a bit slow, but the place is very large. Friendly service and locals, enjoyable atmosphere. Kind of doubles as a sports bar.

Showing the 6 nations, nearly fully booked but squeezed us in at late notice. Very busy but good service. Went to watch the match but stayed on and ate. Very good.

Went here for a quick lunch after visiting the aerospace museum, ordered the 8oz sirloin, rare. First plate came out still sizzling, steak was a lot closer to medium, no pink in the middle. Asked for another steak, this one came out closer to medium rare. Personally I would not have served this on a red hot, cast iron sizzle plate. The onions that came with it looked damp. Drinks were fine and service was quick and staff were understanding. Wouldn't recommend the food.

Food us great I really enjoy the gammon and hunters chicken, the staff are absolutely fantastic and we always have a great time with friends here.

We were passing through the area and saw this place online. The photos and reviews seemed to be positive so thought we’d give it ago. Walked in and we were greeted by staff, she told us to sit anywhere we’d like and also helped get a high chair for my little one. We ordered 2 of the bbq brisket cheese burgers and when they first came out quickly realised there was no brisket on either of them. We didn’t even need to bring it to the attention of the staff as a friendly lady came rushing out the kitchen and apologised as they’d already spotted that mistake. They remedied it quickly and professionally so my issue isn’t this. My issue was when I finally tucked into the burger itself (which was after a different lady had already done a check on the table) I found it was so tough and burnt - see photo - I get that it’s grilled and meant to be somewhat smoked… but that was beyond. I tried to eat around it and picked at the bun but it was far from enjoyable and put me off the rest of my meal. Staff seemed too busy chatting behind the bar to even notice we were unhappy at our table. I did bring this to the attention of someone just as we were leaving and all she could say is she’d “shout at the chefs” Okay? Doesn’t really help me in the fact I’m still hungry and we’ve wasted money on a shocking meal. I couldn’t even be bothered to argue the matter so just left it. Would not return in a hurry that’s for sure.

No zero alcohol beers available. A small lemonade and a small orange set me back £7. The lemonade tasted awful. Will not be coming back.

I recently visited the Air Balloon pub and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious, with portions that were very generous—definitely great value for money. The drink selection was excellent, offering something for everyone. The decor made the experience even better. A wonderful local pub that I would highly recommend. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Fab pub, great central location, lots of parking available & disabled parking & access. Staff really friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere, bar and serving staff great. Courtney always happy to help & have a joke. Food fab, decor nice & clean, with heated patio area. Family friendly and dog friendly too. Very reasonable for food and drinks, good quality value for your money.

Food was dry, plate was disgusting looked like it wasn't washed.. lemonade drink was horrible, never come here again..

What a bargain! Nice enough local pub , had low expectations of the food when we saw the price but were very pleasantly surprised. Steak and chips fine and mushroom and cheese bake was lovely - all fresh and hot. We were totally filled up!

Booked Breakfast with santa this year.wow very well put on.pub only open for the kids and parents and santa and elf walking round and meet,greet and play with all the kids.my five year old loved it.All the staff was lovely worked really hard to make it special day for them.Cracking breakfast too.Great value.Thanks for this and defiantly be back next year

Can't go wrong with this pub! Staff are absolutely lovely and so friendly. Couldn't have been treated any better. The Christmas lunch was absolutely amazing and massive for the price of it. More than enough on the plate and the general manager and kitchen manager were nothing but kind to me. Made my Christmas day.

Well, so we went today for the "all day" Sunday Roast at 3.30. No Beef, No Turkey, only choice was beef rib. I asked why, the less than interested barmaid said "we've sold it all" Ordered two roasts with the beef rib. After several requests about where our food was, and 50 minutes later it finally turned up. Veg tepid, to little gravy, meat poor quality etc it goes on and on I would rate it as rubbish. So for Sunday lunch AVOID, there a plenty of other places more interested in your custom that these disinterested people in this pub.

Needed somewhere quick to stop for Sunday lunch before an appointment at 2:30pm, drove past and saw the car park mostly empty at 1pm so went in and ordered 2 Sunday roast beef meals; weren’t expecting much for the price of £8.99 each but really wish we’d been told in advance of the “40 minute wait for food” - which we were only told about after checking with the waitress having waited 30mins with no sign of food; checking again after 40mins we were assured our order was due out next. Some 55 mins after ordering our meals arrived, giving us 20mins to eat them before needing to leave for our appointment. The meals were disappointing; barely warm and all food clearly of the mass-produced frozen variety, served with thick, very salty gravy. The beef was so dry and tasteless, the frozen veg undercooked, the stuffing ball overcooked and hard; we took a few mouthfuls and packed the rest up to feed to our dogs later. Had we not been pressed for time we would have asked for the meals to be replaced, but can’t say we had much hope they’d be any better. By the time we left more people had arrived; goodness knows how long their wait would have been.

We've been to the Air Balloon several times now and always enjoy it. The burgers and chips are delicious, and the beef steak is cooked to perfection. We've also tried the red wine, which was a good choice to accompany our meal. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the staff are always helpful. Highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a good meal and a pint of beer 🍻.

Amazing Food 5* and the service was really friendly, the staff making our toddler laugh every time they walked past and stopped to chat with her even though she was just yabbering. Will definitely be dining here again

Had lunch after a shopping trip

Went along today for Sunday lunch other options are available. It was very busy so advisable to book. My husband had the a roast beef and I chose the ribeye slow roasted beef very nice and plenty of veg. Thought it come with gravy boat on the side but I had to ask and took a few minutes. Both meals were delicious. Would definitely eat here again very handy for premier Inn.

Ne’er have I laid eyes upon a sorrier knave than the wretch who dared to wait upon us, shuffling forth with the pallor of death itself. With hollow gaze and witless tongue, he did mutter, “Doth any here desire turkey?”—this, four times o’er, despite our protestations. Like a spirit damned, he plagued our table with naught but error and oblivion, each step a tragic affront to service. Flee this dismal den, lest ye too suffer such zombified folly!

Food was lovely, we came with a couple of extras, that we hadn't booked for and Courtney was very helpful. We were not rushed to leave our table either, arrived at 2pm left at around 6.30

For food menu, it's great value for money. A place where local people come to eat after work or "dinner in family" like. A bit hard to order, as staff is mostly on pub side, but you can use Green King app to order for your table. Give it a try!

Only my second visit. The food was quite expensive for a pub-chain. Steak had a lot of gristle. The chips were very nice. But a small portion. I may attempt to go again, but not sure. It was deafening the whole time.

Nice pub in a good location accessible by the main road with plenty of free parking spaces. The pub itself is spacious and has modestly comfy decor. Front of house was welcoming and polite. The menu is extensive and caters for a wide range of appetites and food choices. They also have lots of food offers throughout the week and an extensive selection of drinks at the bar. However, sadly, the value for money of the food is below par, to say the least. Apart from having to wait a long time for it, when you do eventually get it it's not only half cooked but half warm. The underwhelm of this would really put me off returning or recommending this place for a meal. Not only that but the only swift part of the service is as soon as you put your fork down a server will ask if you have finished yet and take your plate away. Which I found a bit odd. Coupling that with the cleanliness of the facilities, which would only really need a good scrub down this place falls short on two of the most basic aspects of a modern pub. Which is a shame as this place seems to have a lot of potential.

Fantastic pub, food always tastes amazing, comes out nice and hot, I can not fault the steaks always cooked exactly how I like it medium rare and never over cooked, would 100 % definitely recommend, great friendly pub with very helpful staff been many times and definitely will continue to come

Excellent location, food very good, and reasonable price, especially the 2 meal deal. Staff are extremely friendly and funny. Only criticism is, as it’s very popular some wines can run out of stock quickly, but have several other alternatives.

The pub itself is lovely along with friendly staff however management are pretty unapproachable and standoffish. App times are quite slow and food arrives before drinks. we finished our food before drinks arrived. It's a shame as me and my partner come back time and time again with the hope it'll be better as it's our local pub, but we feel uncomfortable whenever we're in.

A bit of a mixed bag of feelings towards this place really. The food was really good, the service and the staff were lovely and the value for money was great but it felt really filthy. Everything felt grimey and sticky. The high chairs were grim, the tables and menus were a bit on the sticky side, disabled toilet - grim, and the wood work and wallpaper were sticky and worn out. Carpet - grim! It’s my local pub and the value for money and food was good but the grubbiness would put me off coming back

Went for a late Sunday lunch. Food was nice, juicy burger but the toilets were very unpleasant. Seats hanging off and not clean.

Got there and the table was covered in dirt and grease which we only realised after placing the order, then had to wait 45 minutes until I decided to go to the till and had to ask where our food was after everyone around us had been sent their food and then left after finishing it, the server said it would be another 20-25 minutes, as they’re ‘busy’ looked around and there was one table in that section that was occupied. There was no sincerity from the server that we would have to wait over an hour for food, then went back to get a refund, was told it would now only be a 15 minute wait by another person, still wanted our refund and they tried not refunding us the whole order!! There was no care or sincerity about anything and the service was appalling, can’t even comment on the food as even though we were there for over 45 minutes, the only food we saw was everyone around us eating. Even the manager was sat eating whilst we were talking to her. Absolutely horrible service

Terrible experience, and I’m sure not typical, probably just everything went wrong on the night. Me, my wife and 2 children. Ordered and paid on App. An hour passed, no food, asked how long, told ‘soon’ we’re busy etc. Place was at about 50% capacity! After about 70, kids food comes out, by then, both kids had fallen asleep and barely eat a bite as they couldn’t stay awake. Wife's food comes out 10 mins later, which she struggled to eat with two kids trying to sleep on her. My food, XL Mixed Grill with hunter top (extra charge) and Peppercorn Sauce (extra charge) shows up after almost 90 mins. Wife and kids are fried and ready to leave. My food: Small mixed grill, not XL, and none of the extras which amounted to almost £10 Made a low key complaint to shift manager and was told we’d be refunded (Via App, as that’s how we paid) Never got any form of refund. The food was ok tho, just the experience of the night meant the whole evening was a total loss. Would not return on principle. Had they honoured the refund, I could forgive and forget. But unfortunately this was not the case.

A good general standard. Clean and well presented. I had slow cooked beef rib which was good. My only quibble would be the use of frozen chips. I realise it takes longer to prepare and fry a real potato but the meal would have gained another star with fresh Home cooked chips. As it was, its standard pub fare. Not over priced but nothing to push it to the front of the crowd of other eateries in the area. Staff were pleasant and helpful. And the cutlery was clean (not to be taken for granted anywhere, unfortunately) Good for a quick local lunch, but don't expect anything out side of the ordinary.

Worst pub in Bristol. Longest waiting for an order ever. Only 1 person behind the bar on a busy Friday night and saterday. Don't come unless you like a 45 minute wait for a pint. Staff are miserable. Management always sat on their arse not helping. Food is under cooked and raw on a regular basis. After 11 years of drinking there I will not take 1 foot back in that place. BEWARE

Absolutely amazing value. Had lunch with my 2 teenage boys, we ordered the Flamin BBQ meat shearer and the ultimate feast, with jacket and salad sides the food was excellent and we even had takeaway bags for our left overs. Just to make room for the sticky toffee pudding cheese cake. Thankyou guys for an amazing afternoon with good food I will be definitely be recommending this place. Well done.
