Food is decent, unfortunately there was an hour wait time to get the food unless it's from the buffet but really nice place, especially nice that the kids have a little area to play in to stay occupied and have an eye kept on them

Came in for a carvery today at lunchtime with my family. I can’t stress how good it was. Bradley on the carvery was very polite and the food at was an all time high. Ella who was looking after us was very pleasant to and check if all was ok and helped us when needed. Massive improvements keep up the hard work and you should all be proud.

The worst sirloin steak I have ever had, tough fatty and full of gristle, barely edible. Chips and mushrooms very ordinary, tex mex chilli clearly microwaved and service slow and with a snarl. Would never return and would warn anyone against going there, absolutely abysmal

Came for a couple of beers, service was good by a man who has served me regularly. Apart from him everything about this place Is shocking Manager tonight thinks she rocky No staff ever smile . My first beer without having a sip lol

Unfortunately there was a 40 minute wait on food. Only one person serving behind bar. There were no desserts that we wanted to order. Msin meal food ordered was nice.

We were very impressed with the place. The atmosphere was good, the food was amazing and despite being very busy, we were seated and dining in no time. The staff were all great and made us feel very welcome, I am sure we will be returning next time we pass through Bristol.

The waitor Luke was really sweet thats why the service is a 5 you could tell he was genuine and trying his best . Although for the food it tastes like it uas been Frozen and reheated in the microwave. The atmosphere is bland everything is sticky the menus the table the chairs, They do a carvery here its better going to toby carvery on Saturdays the charge you £11.99 for meat veg and potatoes a additional £2 for Yorkshire puddings and 2 pigs in blankets. plus we saw loads of burnt foods that was also cold!! How can it be cold and burnt? I ordered macaroni cheese and it tasted artificial… sorry to say it but spend your money somewhere else unless they get new chefs

I always get the eggs benedict. Eggs are always fantastic. The sauce is amazing!.

Oh dear, oh dear, where to begin ? I last did a review here 5 years ago, it wasn't too great then but it wasn't bad either. As a family we have been using Redwood Farm as a convenient place to meet and get together for many years now and have noted a huge drop in standards over this time. Our most recent visit at 17.45 on Tuesday 28th Jan which is a less busy time, is probably our last! The place always appears to be running on minimal staff and this visit was no exception. One person behind the bar which was ok, but there doesn't seem to be any contingency for a sudden influx of thirsty and hungry customers! We were lucky that the bar was relatively quiet so drinks and carveries were ordered without problem. We were a party of four, so two went up to get their carvery. When they returned they said that some of the vegetables were running low but were being replenished. When the other two ( one being me) went up for our carvery, we noted around 8 people ahead of us queuing, they then all walked away, still clutching their tickets.As we approached the servery we were advised that most of the vegetables had run out and there would be about a 15 minute wait, they were still being cooked, as they'd had a busy period and hadn't had time to get any more ready! As a consequence, the two in our party who went up first had actually finished their meals before carvery service was resumed. I felt very sorry for the server behind the carvery, he looked very flustered and rushed off of his feet, as did the other few staff we saw.So eventually we did get served and by this time the lone server had someone helping him out. This also happened though on a lesser scale the time previous we visited about a month before. The food itself was very disappointing, the meat had been left to dry out under the warming lights and was not very appetising, the roast potatoes were very hard and dry,the parsnips looked like pork scratchings and were just as hard ! All around a very disheartening visit. We will now look for another venue for our family meals and get togethers. While the carvery is reasonably priced, the staffing is insufficient which ruins the whole experience. No doubt others will say they've always found it wonderful there, I have to speak as I find over my previous few visits,and for me insufficient staffing levels let's the whole operation down.

Sunday 5.30, booked a carvery for 5 adults, staff never informed us that they had ran out of Beef, only Turkey and Gammon was available, roast potatoes were hard and dried up, mash potatoes were hard, a total waste of money, would not recommend

We had booked a table for 6.00 pm for 14 people to celebrate my father in laws birthday as he had recently passed away, we arrived at 5.55 to find no tables had been set up so we had to help the staff set them up, the food ordering was really slow took over 40 minutes for our food to come out and they still got it wrong, by the time we had all eaten we were still waiting for one meal, the desserts took the longest to come out and again they messed this up.

It's not the first time we've ordered from here but it will be the last . Food is completely the wrong order again and turns up feckin cold . Will not answer phone to take complaints . Anyone reading this look else where for a decent hot meal .

This evening, I dined at your establishment and selected the vegetarian carvery. The vegetables were well-prepared and served at an appropriate temperature. However, I found the cheese and potato pie unsatisfactory, and suggest offering an alternative vegetarian option. The service provided by both the bar and carvery staff was exceptional. In particular, David S. provided consistently polite and attentive service throughout our visit.

What can I say this was a terrible experience.. We decided to go here as a family remember my granddad who passed in October, today was his birthday. from start to finish it was poor. We arrived at 5:55 for our reserved table at 6pm. 8 adults 6 children and this was not set up ready which resulted in us having to help the staff ( the place was dead) ! We ordered food and paid for it waited the 30 mins that they said it was going to be after 40 mins we chased the food up at which we were told that they cannot find our order. After another 20 mins they finally find it. All meals served at different times. One meal was served after the rest of the table had finished all their food. Tbf the food was yummy but the cutlery on the tables were covered in old food scraps and rust. We then ordered desert to be told that they had no stock of what we wanted. We all changed our orders to ice-cream sundais and this took a whopping 46 mins to arrive at which two were told was not ordered but then they found it under a different table number that we were sat on what a surprise hay who would have thought a table of 14 had two table numbers. The toilets were absolutely disgusting sticky stinky holes. The only good part was the car park had plenty of spaces. The company I was with and one young man who was serving us who was extremely apologetic the whole time.

Lovely meal again! Carvery definitely improved. Tom was so kind as always. Josh on the bar was lovely. See you again soon. Would recommend!

Decided to pop in for a quick bite lunchtime and a pint whilst on route home. Food was a little crispy to say the least, had the Skewers & Wings which were very dry and certainly well done. The all day breakfast wasn’t much better either with burn bacon and what looked like undercooked egg. Generally a nice pub, maybe in need of a little scrub up in the kitchen department.

Place needs a good clean, clearly very short staffed. Whilst staff were doing their best, they were unable to cope with demand. Ordered food at 6:15pm told kitchen busy and would be 30minutes. Was not served until 8pm. Hour and three quarter is unacceptable.

I’ve been here multiple times now and I must say every time I go it gets worse.. my visit today being the worst which is disappointing as it was my nephews birthday so expected better! It appears there is a lack of staff which is the biggest issue.. although it’s never particularly busy there is always a lack of staff; 1 person on carvery and 2 (at most) on bar service causing long wait times and queues. On this occasion the food was the most disappointing as the food tasted like it had been out all day. The roast potatoes were so dry and hard that it was hard to even cut through them. The meat seemed dry and undercooked. They ran out of pigs in blankets and brought these to the table after we had finished our meals.. The gravy seemed watery, and the staff seemed overworked, although I must say they did do the best they could do under the circumstances and the servers were so friendly and polite. On this occasion I wish I ordered something different than the carvery as the carvery was just not worth the money and was overall dry, tasteless and not enjoyable. I wouldn’t come back here in a hurry.

I don’t usually write about places but thought I would need to. The time it takes here to get served takes way too long. Once our food had arrived the chips were cold so had to be sent back. Only for a few hot ones to be put on top of already cold ones, so not ideal. The toilets are pretty grim. Urinals full of wee, and the cubicle toilet unable to flush and toilet roll holders broken. Bit of a shame as definitely has potential to be good!

We're pretty much locals to redwood as we work close, always looked after well, food is always quick and tastes great. Jordan is an ace server and recognises us whenever we're in and says hello. Top place, fully recommend.

Paid for extra items one yorkshire pudding missing, also only got 1 roast potatoe and 2 jersey royals that were rock hard, not impressed.

Nice place. Had a lovely carvery, good meats that were nicely cooked. Good selection of veg. Would say the cauliflower cheese, needs to be more cheese sauce not just dry cauliflower. Onion gravy was lovely. Had Eton mess for after but no strawberries due to issues with delivery. Bar staff were pleasant, and David S, made us feel feel comfortable staying as long as we did. Will be back.

Visiting from out of town and chose this restaurant as seemed better choice compared to food outlets at Cribbs Causeway. We were not expecting too much but the food and service was great. Kids ate for free and the atmosphere was good. The service was excellent and this persuaded us to return the next night. Shout out to the bar staff Josh, who was very helpful both nights although all staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this place, especially for families. Also be warned about the puddings, they're huge! 👍

Gotta say our Luke & Gemma are the only floor staff that actually makes sure my table is clean and prepared with the right cutlery and towels.. also gotta say Lukes laugh is the one.. Bless Scotty Urbanfront Records UK

Had a lovely meal with family, Brandon W is a superstar! Goes above and beyond! We were welcomed by Brandon and nothing was toonmuch for him! The food was lovely and hot and the puddings were delicious!

It was our first visit close to the Cripps corner easy to park ! Friendly staff David S , the restaurant was very clean good carvery friendly chef choice of gammon , beef or Turkey ! Good choice if vegetables and a great Yorkshire pudding! Would definitely return !

Was over charged promised a refund,I’ve rang the police and they told me to go to trading standards if we don’t get the money back by Friday 3rd January! they took my pre order for food and gave it away baring in mind we pre ordered off the celebrating joy menu to watch others eat our choice of food we didn’t get our extras and got charged In total £160 for something that should been £67!!! I rang the restaurant on the 9th December to be told to ring back tomorrow I had this for a week after loads of excuses! Then I had a phone call with someone called Tom grey to be promised a FULL refund with in 10 but it would be quicker then to be lied to and never receive the money I have rang them over 100 times today and in the last 3 weeks to get absolutely no where!! I wanted to speak to Tom grey management but no one seems to be that bothered that they had over charged a disabled customer

Real ales great. Food standard and service OK. Long wait at bar just to get a drink - they have a silly queuing system for both food orders and drinks. Perhaps a bit of education about how to seperate roles and provide a better customer experience would go a long way.

Booked to eat here on Christmas eve. On arrival was escorted to our table. I asked for a highchair and was told "just pick any one you can see" had to clean the highchair i had found. Then realised there was no "Festive menu" that i had pre-booked and paid a deposit for. When I asked a member of staff for some festive menus as there was 4 adults and 1 child at the table. I was given just the 1. After over an hours wait for our main courses. My child's pasta dish came on its own. Without the corn on the cob and the garlic bread which it states in the menu that it comes with. When my partner asked where it was. A member of staff replied "oh you didn't order any sides or extras" the menu didn't state it was extra. It was part of the main course. 1 member of staff behind the bar. Also had to wait a good 15/20 mins for my 3 drinks. Not impressed. And it is a total shame as I do like to come and eat/drink at redwood through the years gone by.

This place deserves no stars at all!! Absolutely shocking, booked a while ago to take my grandchildren for ‘breakfast with Santa’ - no choice of breakfast just cooked food, no cereal/fruit or toast machine for toast. Cooked breakfast and coffee were cold and they’d run out of eggs which was absolutely disgusting!!! After complaining I did get a full refund but that was no consolation to 4 young children who hadn’t eaten since the previous teatime!!! I think if they can’t cater properly for the amount of bookings they take they shouldn’t advertise this sort of event and to top it off Santa got up and left before we did which upset the kids even more!! Save your money next year and go somewhere else as this is by far the worst ‘Breakfast with Santa’ we’ve ever been too!!!

I met friends here for coffee and cake. The coffee was lovely but my carrot cake was horrible. In the cabinet, the cakes are beautifully decorated, our cakes had none of the decorations on them. My cake was so dry I was unable to eat it. Very disappointed.

this is my first time going to redwood farm, my boyfriend took me as treat as he has been before. atmosphere was really nice and peaceful, requested the adult booth which was provided on arrival with no issues. food was really enjoyable all hot, tender meat (we got the carvery). the service was great, really friendly staff, special recognition to David.S who seated us and was very attentive to our needs. all round really positive experience, would recommend and definitely come again !!

Absolutely awful experience here. Place is extremely run down, food all over floors, toilets in a dreadful state, walls full of marks and seats ripped. Tables left with food and plates for prolonged periods, food over cooked or undercooked. Booked for a Christmas event. Table not ready, taken to a table put together and food all over floor table not wiped and no cutlery Slow service and staff with no customer service whatsoever. This will be my last visit. This place needs a full overhaul.

Four of us had a lovely meal here on Saturday night, food was cooked perfectly, staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. A lovely atmosphere in this gem of a place. Breakfast with santa, booked a table for 10.45 thinking we would have plenty of time to eat see santa etc as I thought they wouldn't have let me book so late otherwise. Got here and spent 10 mins at the till trying to find my deposit and be told we had 5 mins to get food drinks find our own table and see santa. Now the santa was the only enjoyable part he was very welcoming to the children unfortunately that was the only 2 mins we enjoyed. We went to get a coffee and it was empty to be told by staff "we've now finished serving" no apologies. He did go get a coffee from the machine after I had said we've been rushed and it's not fair but unfortunately this doesn't even make up part of what I had paid for this experience. It's been a while since I had visited here and never had an issue with customer service or food but today they all seem to have the "I don't want to be here attitude".

The waiters and the chap that clears tables work so hard and really go the extra mile and very friendly nice to have an adult only area managers always say hello when you walk in make you feel welcome food is good and fairly price my only bug bear is if you order drinks on the app they just sit on the bar even if no customers at the bar the young lad with fair fair will just stand there not get anyone to take drinks over I’ve waited upto 10 min for him to bring over but other than that great place
