Went in for a carvery met with an amazing attitude from the staff. We paid and headed for the carvery where we was met by dan (the chef), he was extremely polite and professional at the same time we could have a laugh with him, served us our carvery and even went out of his way for fresh meat and gluten free gravy Couldn't recommend him enough

Came in yesterday early afternoon for a quick lunch with me mate. Never been before but safe today Jake on the carvery is so welcoming, polite and understanding.

Comfortable, friendly atmosphere with a great range of food. But especially the Halloumi fries. I might come back tomorrow and just order 10 portions as my main meal...

Popped in for lunch today with my Dad and had the carvery. Can’t fault the food, the meat was really nice and generous portions. But the best part of our visit was Carmela our waitress, who was very attentive and checked that we were happy with everything. Will be back again soon.

The food was really good, didn't have to wait and there was a great selection. Very good value for money. Staff were amazing.

Decided to try this place for food as we are staying in premier inn next door. I had read some reviews and thought I will go in with an open mind. We ordered small vegetarian carvery and I must say it was delicious the cheese and onion pie was delicious and the potatoes and veg were tasty and the Yorkshire pudding was massive and tasty. My brother had the large carvery. There wasn't a shortage of food we actually left food on our plate. I would deffo go again I wasn't disappointed.

I had fish and chips meal with onion rings and my wife and mother had carvery and it was really good the staff were really helpful and polite thanks to the staff

As a regular food and services are usually good but last night went there and found plastic in my food which I was not happy about , spoke to Dave s and he resolved the situation appropriately thank you

Brandon Lee helped us with a large family function where the service and food was impeccable and reasonably priced but the service from Brandon went above and beyond to accommodate us all.

Brandon Lee is the BEST!!! Always pours the perfect pint and will happily have a conversation with you! Very good at his job and all other customers love him!!

Not too busy at 5pm on a Thursday evening. Food was delicious and service second to none.

The food was really topnotch! I had the beef yorkshire wrap and loved it! The meat was plentiful, savory, and tender. My only comment would be that they serve the horseradish sauce in a smaller bowl, and the cranberry sauce in the larger bowl. The lady that brought out the food was cheerfully, helpful, and polite. David S., who checked in with us, was an absolute delight. I had already enjoyed my dining experience, but he certainly elevated it. The only wish I have to improve, is to turn down the music a bit. It was fairly loud.

Frequented here when staying away with work, lovely food served fresh. Good price for drinks good atmosphere.

UPDATE: Never received a refund for the deserts. Even after speaking to them 3 times on 3 different days. Visited on Mother’s Day. We had booked a table in advance and arrived a little early. Thankfully, the staff were accommodating and managed to seat us quickly. We ordered our starters, mains, drinks, and desserts via the mobile phone app as the queues were very long. Up to this point, everything was going smoothly, and we were having a lovely time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. However, things took a disappointing turn when we waited over 45 minutes for our desserts. I eventually approached a member of staff to ask about them. Instead of checking on the order, the first thing he said was, "We need your table, can you finish up and go!" I replied that we would leave once we had finished our food, especially as the delay wasn’t our fault. He insisted again that we needed to vacate the table, to which I repeated that we’d be happy to do so once the desserts arrived. His tone and attitude were unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which really soured what had otherwise been an enjoyable visit. He walked off grumpily, said he’d look into it, but never came back. We waited another 10 minutes and still received no update, so we decided to leave. On the way out, I requested a refund for the hot drink and two of the desserts, which, as of writing this, I am still waiting to receive. Despite this, I won’t completely knock the restaurant as it was a very busy day and the food was genuinely lovely. But I would advise caution if visiting during peak times, and I sincerely hope that particular staff member is spoken to, as his attitude was totally unacceptable and not reflective of the rest of the team. Still giving 3 stars – purely because the food and most of the experience were great up until that unfortunate interaction.

First time visiting here, we had the carvery, kids had the kids meals. No table number on our table but we told the waiter and he made sure our food got to us. Very friendly. The kids play area was quite basic. The kids had a good time though. Carvery and meals were delicious, the yorkshires were really hard though. Had a lovely time if we are in the area again we would visit again.

Popped in with my husband for an early dinner after an afternoon spent at Cribbs. Walked in and seated ourselves as no staff approached us. I ordered the carvery salad, my husband ordered the mixed grill. Service was slow although it wasn’t busy. The food came and the gammon and turkey on my plate was so dried out it looked like leather. I told the waitress I couldn’t eat that and she huffed off without saying a word and about 5 minutes later brought me a plate of less dried out meat. Not a word from her, just plonked it down. My husband asked for ketchup and got mayo. His steak and chicken were cremated. The chips were cold and the peas were rock hard. My salad consisted of a massive pile of lettuce with a couple of slices of cucumber, a couple of wedges of underripe tomato and 3 red onion rings. Dreadful coleslaw, like really cheap supermarket stuff. The staff all look like they really don’t want to be there. There’s no atmosphere to the place and it’s very tired and grubby looking.

An ideal place to eat after a day out at Bristol Zoo. Great roast, some of the biggest Yorkshire puds I’ve ever seen, and a great selection of vegetables. Carvery staff were able to accommodate a substitute for gluten free gravy which was most appreciated. Great friendly service by both the carvery chef and our waiter David S who was polite and courteous. Would definitely come back again

We arrived this evening with kids ,tired and hungry. The young gentleman, Brandon guided us in, sorted seating and meal plan and rapid sky provided drinks Excellent, quick and efficient service/highly recommended . Excellent value for money

My family really enjoyed our experience, and will be definitely coming back all the time from now. Our server Brandon Lee was Absolutely brilliant. He made our experience really special and went out of his way for my kids. Anything we asked for or requested his service was 10 out of 10. Definitely needs a promotion or to become management. If he’s treating all of his customers the way he did with us yesterday, Redwood farm will be gaining so many more regular customers every day. Me and my family go and eat so many places every month, i’m from now we hope to have a waiter like Brandon. Next time I come in, I’m definitely going to buy Brandon a drink, and go directly to the management to give him a face-to-face good review.

Excellent service as always. Brandon-Lee made sure our meal was great and was very friendly. Making sure we were happy with our meals and had enough to drink. The food was very good as always and excellent value for money. Overall lovely experience and definitely makes us want to visit again.

Generally a nice place, though it was let down on our visit by the state of the toilets. Lights missing, litter, fittings hanging off. Was disappointed as well when I discovered you can't use a blue light card on bank holidays 😔. The food is lovely though and the staff are great 😃

I visit once a month with a friend for a meal and a catch up. The food is always good, tonight I had a Lasagne which was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and I would like to say thank you very much to one particular member of staff, Keenan. Always greeted with a smile which we really appreciate and keeps us coming back.

First time visiting my family. The food was really nice. Wasn't sure if we wait to be seated or we just find a table ourselves. Staff just stared at us so no real welcome and I felt awkward. We asked about seating and they said sit anywhere. I had a double stack burger, which was lovely. My son and grandkids all had cheese burgers and loved the lovely helping of coslaw on the side. I originally went for a carvery, but no one came to serve me and got fed up with waiting, even tho I did here a lady say I was waiting, but still no one came. I will return again when I'm next in Bristol because I live in Swansea, hopefully I will be able to try the calvary.

We come quite often, we decided to go for mother day here on a late decision going out, we were out at a table we were un happy with & Brandon Lee - the manager on for the time was absolutely amazing, he promptly found us another table in a quieter area, kept checking on us over the whole course of the evening as to weather drinks were okay, food was okay, everything from start to finish. The rest of the staff were also lovely but Brandon Lee was a credit to the venue & his team on such a busy day. Would always come back when your given service that outstanding by management.

Food was mushy felt like schools dinners and not a pleasant reminder of those. Potatoes mushy / cheese and onion pie rock solid must have been cooking for hours and left cold then heated up again - horrible never going to return here. I wanted to ask for my money back. People there seemed to enjoy the food with families and the atmosphere was pleasant enough as well the service but the food was below the standard bringing back nightmarish memories of the taste of mushy scran

Booked in for mothers day and it was a good job we did. The que for the carvery at 3pm was heading towards the entrance extremely busy, we decided to order from the main menu. Our meals consisted of the biggest burger on the menu, a cheese and potato pie with chips and beans, hell of a size, a steak with the trimmings again a good size and a mixed grill which was a good size, not ridiculous size, but just nice. There was a bit of a wait due to how busy it was but worth it. There was a bit of confusion over our deserts but again they were a good size, the slice of chocolate fudge cake my wife had was huge lol all in all we had a lovely afternoon 👍

Absolute rubbish! Food wasn’t actually that bad! But busy periods! Should have a till with a sign stating DRINKS only! I was in the queue for 35 mins waiting for A pint! Any one with a brain cell knows this will cut the waiting time down on one Que for food and one Que for drinks! Won’t be returning absolutely ridiculous system!!

Revived my order I ordered extra Yorkshire pudding and pigs in blankets which was not there the food was as if it were leftovers not a lot of meat for the money spent and served up with no care as if because I was not present did not care about food or customer no pudding which was ordered to be honest the retailer should not be allowed to serve takeaway as not really able to and if they are ripping off more than 1person at every service this is one of the biggest consumer overlooked of all time

Mar25: Staff pleasant however wait at bar to order food and drinks is protracted due to under staffing. Cleanliness not an issue (as others have identified). Roast dinner and steak pie good. Cakes are massive, better to share rather than attempt one yourself.

Often visit Redwood Farm for a carvery, the food is always delicious and fresh and the service is always fantastic. Few times I have been served by a lady called Gemma and she is always very polite and always does her best to accommodate any needs we may have. Would highly recommend to all and often recommend to my family and friends.

Went for a midweek carvery. Most of the food was fresh, plenty of turkey given, but the Yorkshire puds were inedible they were so overdone. Guy behind carvery counter was clearly in a bad mood, at point saying "I really don't care anymore" whilst seemingly under the eye of supervisors/managers. Asked for a table in the family area, and was placed next to a table of loud, pinot-fuelled women, and another table of workmen. Ice cream selection was insane! Shame the service and atmosphere let the place down.

Waiting a long time to be served at bar, waited at least 15 minutes at carvery before anybody came out of kitchen, meats ( especially beef) looked extremely dry. The gammon I had was very stringy, veg lukewarm at best, no mash available. Pint that I had with meal tasted off so that got left. Normally come here every 2 weeks due to work, unfortunately will not be frequenting this establishment again

My family and friends come here very often mainly due to the playground. But the food is also nice and worth the money. I am especially enjoying the fish and chips, and the curry sauce is just amazing. I could eat it breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly as well and we had numerous interactions with one of the waiters, David S. He is really friendly and willing to help with anything.

Popped in to try the new menu, and some of my favourites were missing. Just had to find something else which I did and it was very nice. Reasonably priced, service good 👍 arranged a takeaway for someone who couldn't come The only problem was the tomatoes on my salad were not ripe.

Very short of staff. Waited nearly an hour for our food. Cold when it came. Haven't been here for a long time. Was hoping that it had improved. It hasn't. Only came here because it was the nearest to where we were. But when your side salad is warmer than you hunters chicken. You know it will be your last visit. Also very short on beers. No vegetarian selection
