Popped in for fish and chips takeaway and had a disappointing experience. I ordered two cod and chips, that set me back £29.30. The order came quite quickly and while the cod can be best described as reasonable, the chips were barely cooked, with several of them being crunchy to eat and all looking very anaemic. The cafe was not particularly busy when I arrived; no queue and only about 20% of tables with people dining in. If this is the standard produced when business is slack, I hate to think what the standard is like on a busy day. I won’t be rushing back to partake in more high cost substandard fare.

We have been to Rock several times but hadn’t been to the Rock Inn. We arrived for lunch after a 5 hour journey and it was just what we needed. Relaxed, great view, nice service and good food. Nothing fancy but spot on. I loved my nachos with chilli which came with sour cream and salsa on the side.We will definitely come back.Eat on the terrace, weather permitting to enjoy the fabulous view.

The Five Alls is a lovely country pub, set within a small traditional Cotswold village, It has been very nicely modernised, we had a warm welcome from Rob the manager who took us to our accommodation which was a purpose built very spacious room in the grounds of the pub, Although we had booked bed and breakfast we chose to eat in their restaurant for all three nights we stayed, we were not disappointed. Breakfast was delicious and served in a stylish room, The pub and accommodation were very clean. We found all of the staff to be very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate in recommending The Five Alls,

Really lovely pub, excellent food and really good prices for the quality and portion sizes. Staff are always friendly and the pub is nicely decorated, the seasonal decor is always a nice touch. Really good on dietary restrictions and vegetarian options. Our party held both allergies (dairy and gluten) and a vegetarian and we all manage to have something we really enjoy worry free on every visit

Visited today for Sunday lunch and certainly won’t be returning. All the veg appeared frozen and not fresh, including the roast potatoes. Very sparse amount too. I had a substance on my plate which I did not even recognise, but it had the consistency of PVA glue, I asked a member of staff what it was. He said he had no idea but would ask the chef. Transpires it was cauliflower cheese and passed on apologies from the chef! I honestly don’t know what I expected him to do or say, but seriously. We are local people but won’t be returning.

Fabulous place to eat. We ate here, twice this week, as we were visiting. Once on New Year Eve, with our friends, 8 of us the food was excellent we all so tasty and hot. We ate again this evening, the food was plentiful, tasty and beautifully presented. Staff are very friendly. Beautiful setting, gorgeous log fire.

Last meal.of our holiday. What a load of rubbish!! Freshly cooked fish and chips were stone cold 5 mins after collection, greasy batter, chips abysmal, possibly the worst fish and chips ever!!! And so expensive 😫 I certainly advise everyone to avoid the place

Came here for the first time for our 10yr anniversary meal, we had heard good things and certainly were not left disappointed! The ambience, decor is beautiful, really relaxed atmosphere. Staff were on it! Friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We shared a starter, spring rolls they were soo good. Burger and sushi bowl for mains both really enjoyed them and good portions. Cocktails were great we really were impressed and will be back!
