The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Nice pub with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the beef burgers, the meat had a weird rubbery texture. Other people's food looked nice though. Chips were lovely.

We popped in on the off chance we could get a table on Saturday night. We managed to get a table from a very helpful waitress. The service and food were excellent. It’s the second time we have been here whilst visiting family in Bridgwater and will definitely be back. Thank you

An absolute gem of a place. Both food and staff excellent. You can't beat the Sunday Roast and it's great that you can order a smaller portion if need be. Plenty of veg, gravy and fantastic roasties. They cater well for gluten free too.

Popped in here for lunch whilst in Weymouth. First impressions were that it looked a tad small, but there is additional seating at the back, which provided ample room. There is also outdoor seating for slightly better weather. The large Cod and Chips (plus cup of tea) was decent. I wasn't particularly struck on the chips as they seemed more like fat French fries, and were all a bit hard, but the fish was excellent. It was flaky and tasty and wasn't ruined by the batter (as so much chip shop fish is), but instead was complimented by it. This is because the batter wasn't overwhelmingly thick or crispy, but rather slightly more sparse and soft. I realise I'm not making it sound great, but I can assure you it really was. My young daughter also enjoyed eating the fish, and if it passes her ridiculously fussy and painfully fastidious standards, then it must be good. Sauces come in those ridiculous little pods that, combined over the course of a year, undo pretty much the entire nation's efforts to cut back on single-use plastics. I'm pretty sure you have to pay extra for them too. There are no bottles on tables here... The price was about what I'd expect these days, so no real complaints there. All in all a good meal and a decent visit.

Amazing food and staff. Dog friendly, very welcoming. Food was bought out quickly and all together. really great menu, well priced and not one of these over the top bog standard chain restaurants, family run. Was passing through on a trip to Cornwall but Will return when we're back in the area and would definitely recommend for stopping by for food or drinks🙂

We had a Sunday dinner here and we have to admit it was all delicious. Plates were filled and the family were happy with what they had. Just for information of the veggies out there go for the nut roast option. There is a veg option but it is literally just the veg

Sunday lunch. Busy but excellent service and helpful staff. Tender meats and good selection of vegetables, fresh and hot. Finished off with yummy desserts. Would certainly return.

He sido visitante frecuente en el café Farleigh Road durante más años de los que recuerdo, y soy un usuario habitual que me visita unas 3 o 4 veces al mes así que, con Flourish a cargo, ¿es diferente? El edificio es más grande, el aparcamiento es mejor y más fácil de navegar, el restaurante es más grande, y el personal sigue siendo tan excelente como siempre. La comida siempre es buena con porciones de buen tamaño y los precios, así como por cualquier lugar han subido. Al igual que con todos los restaurantes sabemos que esto tiene que suceder, pero no se sienta tentado a empujar mucho más alto. Ten cuidado con lo que deseas. La nueva ‘Flourish card’ es una herramienta útil para conseguir ofertas en alimentación (también se puede utilizar en la tienda) pero aquí digo que no está muy bien explicada por lo que sugiero a Flourish que consigas que te hagan unos flyers para dejar sobre la mesa/llevar ya que tanto tú como el cliente se beneficiarán. Sé cómo usar la tarjeta. Muchos no. En resumen, entonces un gran lugar para comer y reunirse y sí, no va a complacer a toda la gente todo el tiempo como algún anhelo de la 'vieja cafetería', pero el progreso sigue adelante, así que por favor Flourish mantener ese excelente personal amable y la calidad de su comida como la mayoría de nosotros parece gustar mucho. Un café recomendado entonces!

Fui a dos cafés S y C. Mi principal queja es que dejé un objeto personal por error, pero el café no era contactable en absoluto - el único número que no encontré a nadie y er respuestas (no se utiliza apoarently) , ninguna respuesta a los correos electrónicos, mensajería de Facebook y un intento de WhatsApp. Tardaron dos días en obtener una respuesta (no monitorean mucho el correo electrónico, aparentemente) y por supuesto no hay señales de mi pertenencia. Marco porque si hubiera sido una billetera o pasaporte... no tienes ningún espectáculo recuperándolo. La culpa es mía por dejar atrás, pero los accidentes ocurren, están orientados al cliente y deben ser contactables. Una tienda que servía era educada: la otra era casi deprimente con las miradas grumosas y las respuestas desnudas. Comida y café nada especial. Vaya a un café que realmente se preocupa por sus clientes y apoya lo que un café debe ser. Gente.

Absolutely gorgeous evening meal, I had slow roast pork belly, apple gravy and veg my wife had beef cheek and veg, nothing was a problem lovely staff, reasonably price very impressed

Popped in yesterday for a few pints. Wonderful spot on the beach to watch the waves & surfers for an hour or so. Food looked & smelled good too!
