Great atmosphere, small restaurant and bar but well laid out. Staff were attentive and friendly.

We stopped here for one night after a 2 day schlep from France. Room was very comfortable with every mod con you could need. Food was delicious and represented good value for money. All staff were friendly, a special shout out to Sam was particularly friendly and he went above and beyond to ensure we all had a fab stay. Thanks Sam 😃

Lovely interior with burning log fires. Excellent lunch which was enjoyed by all seven of us- we will be back! It is being transferred to community ownership but the staff will continue which is good news!

We popped in here on the off chance for a late morning breakfast. The food was very good and tasty, and didn’t take long to get served. Nice friendly staff (my mum was in a wheelchair) and they were all very helpful to get her seated. Look forward to returning soon to sample the rest of the menu. Very impressed !!

One of the better pubs in Tonbridge. Great Landlord. Great atmosphere. Great range of booze at affordable prices. Great food - particularly the pizzas. I'll definitely be returning.

What a great real ale pub. Only sells beer, cider and packet snacks so bring along the conversation. I’ve known this pub over many years and it hasn’t changed much. You’re either going to love it or hate it but it’s what pubs used to be before they became restaurants that tolerate drinkers.

We had booked a table for 5, as we arrived met with a sign telling us there was a 45min wait for food even though it was almost empty, was shown to a table, waited 15mins no one came so ordered drinks at the bar, still no one came so food ordered at bar long wait till food delivered, waitress not particularly friendly, she dropped some chips off of a plate but no attempt to pick them up, and they were still there when we left, having said that the food when it did arrive was excellent, we all enjoyed what we had and it was delivered hot. The ambience was non existent, the whole restaurant needs refurbishing, some of the chairs were filthy and one of our tables was stained in something black, above where we were sitting it looked like mould on the ceiling and wall, not to be repeated.

Excellent sports bar, fantastic beer and friendly, cheery service. Best bar in Tonbridge.

A last minute decision to go out for dinner, so where better than the local. We had been here for drinks on numerous occasions and always found it very friendly so thought we would give the food a go. Great menu, loads of choice and freshly cooked. Cannot fault it. Restaurant was packed, always a good sign!

Booked in here for Sunday roast dinner it was absolutely scrumptious! The food portions were generous and the pub atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Keep up the good work Carla & Lee and thank you to chef Richard for a tasty treat

Friendly staff although not hugely attentive given it was a quiet time. Good atmosphere. Menu was so boring. When I eat out I’d like to see some interesting options that wouldn’t make or buy for home. Reasonable portion size. Pudding portion was a joke - fit for children. I dont usually order a pudding but to receive the tiniest square of sponge served on a huge plate is an insult honestly !!

brilliant place come here for my brakes at college for a little snack and i could never complain i recommend the loaded chips for a quick snack
