The best restaurants serving British food in South Oxfordshire South East

Really disappointing!booked for Sunday lunch and ordered 2 roast beef it was so tough and half inch of fat round it so was asked if we would like steak knives but still couldn't cut it!Yorkshire puds were cold and nothing looked appetising. So left it and walked out. Few people eating outside but nobody but us inside. Never again.

We visited for a childfree birthday breakfast treat, quant little bakery downstairs, warm and welcoming cafe upstairs. Staff extremely friendly with great service. Food was good value and arrived quickly, tasting great. Highly recommended

Shockingly bad service and food The Sunday carvery was worse than the worst school dinner ever. Really dreadful chicken, overcooked potatoes and insipid vegetables served by a man who looked like he was on day release from HMP. Please do not waste your money in this terrible establishment

A lovely spot to pull into for a pint!

The pub is enjoying a renaissance under new management. Excellent meals - hot and tasty. New tables in garden - just waiting for the right weather!

Just had standard fish chips curry sauce And i have to say best meal of this type we have had in years more than enough for two people Well done excellent quality and quantity

Precioso restaurante. Buen ambiente, personal servicial, cortés y excelente comida. Habría comido cualquier cosa del menú. El cerdo del vientre estaba delicioso, complementado con camotes, puré de col roja (inusual pero perfecto con el cerdo) y una deliciosa ensalada de col, perfectamente equilibrada. Los postres también fueron excelentes, gracias que volveremos a probar el almuerzo del domingo

Stopped for a quick coffee in the garden whilst on a walk. Nice setting, dog friendly. Staff polite and cheery. Had two coffees and two packets of crisps which came to £14 which I thought was very expensive! Coffee very weak, small cup and not very hot. Crisps were past ‘use by’ date by two months! They did hugely apologise and change them, but not a good sign. We were relatively early (just past 12), but it was very empty. Don’t think the visit would fill me with confidence to go and try food.

A little pricey but a very friendly atmosphere and really good food (and wine). The table layout is a little pub-nook like but with less intimate areas also. The team worked very hard to deliver good portions of delicious food and I love the sharing dessert concept. A great evening out, thank you.

Visited here with friends today. Staff were exceptionally friendly yet professional. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Very pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend

Amazing greek food . Literally felt like we were back on Cyprus sitting out in the sun on the green . Had a lovely gyros and my friend had the patsitsio. I haven't had it before so tasted it and it was really nice . If you like lasagne it's like a greek version with pasta in the shape of long macaroni. Also had a cheeky vodka slush puppy. They even do soft serve ice cream in a cone ! . Definitely coming back for another session

Lovely little pub, great food and service good selection of Thai dishes a nice surprise.... Great fish and chips and homemade burgers

Dinner, service, room and breakfast were first rate in all respects. Everything in the room worked and we had a peaceful and comfortable stay. All the staff were helpful, pleasant and professional and the kitchen should be commended on producing tasty, nicely presented offerings of good proportions and from a comprehensive and varied menu. This puts greatly more costly and pretentious establishments into an interesting perspective.
