I have lived in the area my whole life and never had a pub meal near us that was as good as this. Every dish was extremely good and reasonably priced. The beef pie special was a particular highlight. Best pub pie I’ve ever had. Please keep these guys in business! Go eat here.

The best eggs Benedict I can remember having for a very long time. Plus delicious flat white coffee. This is my local cafe and I’ve been supporting it since it was also the deli (now next door and still the most fantastic deli). So I am a fan and yet, yesterday’s eggs Benedict were ‘on another level’ and moved me to write this. Better than any I’ve had in fancy hotels or London bistros. PS there were two of them… I scoffed one before thinking to take a photo!

A bit rough round the edges but clean and friendly, with the added bonus of a bath as well as a shower, very welcome after a long day's hike. We had breakfast included at the pub. Which was well presented and delicious. All in all great value for money.

Absolutely phenomenal service from everyone at the Leathern Bottle today when I had to pull into their car park when I had a problem on my vehicle. Highly recommended as a stop from the M40, which I will be doing again very soon when I'm not working. Thanks all

We were directed to this quaint country inn following our arrival at our booked inn which had recently closed without us being advised. We turned up and were greeted by the owner, a lovely lady, with a beaming smile, who confirmed she was able to provide accommodation. The room was newly decorated and contained all that was needed, comfortable bed and very clean ensuite. We had evening meals, which were equal to anything you would expect in upper end restaurants. Prices of meals were very acceptable too. If doing a visit to the Midsomer Murders area do yourself a favour and consider a visit.

Went here for lunch today and I have to say it's my favourite place I have eaten, not just in Henley, but in a long time. The food is first class and the service and restaurant itself was very good too. I had the tartiflette and it was delicious. The portion sizes are very fair (some may say big!) for the price. But it's not just the food, the whole restaurant feels like it has been put together with love, care and real thought in all aspects. The food is incredible though. They are making homely food that you want to eat but with incredible skill and touch. I'll 100% be back.

A great experience. Taste to rock your boots. The langoustine and Pork belly are amazing. The scollops are best I have ever tasted ( And I love scollops). The lamb with haggis was great and the chocolate fondant was a burst of brilliant taste with Guinness ice cream. Cooking to a Michelin style standard with a warm friendly service. Brilliant well done to chefs and staff

Poor service and poor food. Has gone downhill to what we’ve had before. Menu choice was very poor and had to choose the only dish I liked. The fried Brie wedges to start had no Brie in them as they had been over fried. Main course was cold and £15 for a cheese board, which only had 3 pieces of small cheese on and a few Jacob’s crackers was over priced. The service was poor and we were the only ones eating there. This used to be a great pub for food but feel it is now just overpriced and has an easy boring menu choice.

Amazing home cooked Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Good sized portions, delicious crispy and fluffy roast potatoes, fresh Yorkshire pudding, side of cauliflower cheese, lashing of gravy and piping hot. Very quick and friendly service. Cosy interior. Everything you want for a quality Sunday lunch. Highly recommend.
