Great cocktails, service and ambience. As a vegetarian, the menu definitely caters more to meat eaters. We had a really great lunch here that beat out our dinner for flavour. The female bathrooms have lots of little extra toiletries and things that are a really nice touch.

The wonderful taste combinations in our lunch were all beyond expectations, especially the scotch egg. Grandson doubted he’d like ‘home made’ baked beans with his sausage and was astonished to love them. Obviously good sourcing and a very talented chef.

2nd visit this year and sadly disappointing both times. Nice atmosphere if a bit noisy this evening as we were at the very back of the restaurant. Last time I was disappointed with the steak bavette which was basically a small steak on a bit of toast!! Menu was the same as in March so opted for cod to start and gnocchi for main. We had a slightly late booking so they’d run out of the leek pancake, disappointing for 2 on our table but understandable as we were later. The cod was ok but needed more seasoning. The gnocchi was poor - felt like the last of a batch for the evening, not hot, stodgy and really bland. Didn’t finish it. Mixed reviews from the rest of my group - clearly a couple of us were unlucky. But at those prices all the food should be top notch!! Shame I’ve always quite liked it here but it can be hit and miss , with the service, the food and the menu choice which tends to be good for vegans and veggies, but not so great for those who eat meat.

Work colleagues out for dinner. Live locally, lots of people recommend it but our experience wasn't good. Starters were nice, but mains took ages to arrive. When they did arrive my lamb was tasty but very very salty & the mash was tepid. They entirely forgot to put the dressing on one of my colleagues meals until she complained it was a little dry. Won't be rushing back.

Had a great lunch here yesterday. Charming service, cosy interior and a delicious meal. Especially liked the extra choice for vegetarians, although I am not one myself. It's far too noisy because it serves as a bar as well. Been twice, once on a Saturday night, lots of loud people came in abt 830pm means you can't hear anything and the service standard goes down as they are swamped. But fair enough on a Saturday night maybe I thought. 2nd time was a Sunday lunch few weeks later, v loud party drinking bottomless cocktails - Sunday lunch? No thanks again too loud, won't be going back. Pity because the food is first rate with interesting options for veggies.

I first ate here 2 years ago and it was great however my last 3 visits have been a huge disappointment with both service and food quality. I thought I'd try the bavette steak, which was in-between a steak sandwich and steak and chips, very confusing and a ruined piece of sourdough which weirdly all the resting juices had oozed into creating what looked like an old tampon. My last visit was to try the ox cheek which came out with a pale lumpy sauce and over cooked polenta, very disappointing. To top that off I got to hear the young waitress talking about her night out before. Personally I think the prices of the food aren't reflecting the quality.

Recent visit was pleasant but was left wanting a little more, nothing distinctly wrong but felt needed a bit more flair. For example for a restaurant named after pigs there was only one pork dish which was a scotch egg. I feel the night I went needed a special or two to showcase variety. Was a mid week dinner so perhaps less staff than usual but not the greatest service either. Overall was worth visiting but not sure the last impression was strong enough.

Family went to Five Little Pigs when it first opened. Service was slow waited an hour for main course, it was served on cold plates and food was cold. Decided to go back after it had been entered into The Michelin Guide. Staff are a credit to the establishment. Menu was an odd choice of foods put together? We started with " famous Scotch Egg, odd flavour, tasted like oil in deep fryer was stale and needed to be filtered or changed. I had full All Day Brunch... fried eggs were hard, bacon burnt and hard, black pudding excellent. Fried bread must be cooked in same fryer as Scotch Egg...tasted odd. Brother had Kegeree the poached egg was hard, shame. The restaurant is a "diamond in the rough" for Wallingford. I support local businesses but maybe the Chef was having an off day. It happens!

We booked a table for four the week before Christmas. We booked their Xmas meal and were very much looking forward to the meal. Unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited over an hour for our food, had to remind the server and when it came it was cold. We were not asked about drinks, the table was not cleared and it did spoil the evening. The only constructive criticism I’d give is that the outside of the kitchen could do with a lick of paint - just because it’s the backdrop for the garden table view. Otherwise they should change nothing because everyone on staff and everything they do is perfect.

Been meaning to come here for absolutely ages. Didn’t disappoint at all. Firstly, the staff were fantastic, attentive and welcoming and the whole restaurant was as clean as a whistle. Menu wise… too hard to decide so two of us went for 5 starters and a main. Had it been dinner we’d have added an extra main. You can tell they are super keen about local produce and are so clever with it. Seasonal experts for sure. Nothing wasted and all from the area. We had a gorgeous chard style dip with the lamb rump (cooked to perfection), so earthy and refined, the perfect amount of garlic in the mash… just as an example. All starters were ace. Ox cheek, octopus, lovely whipped local cheeses…We finished with some home made digestifs. Incredible. The whole team deserve every accolade they get. And the whole meal was really good value for money. Will be back.

We’d been looking forward to Five Little Piggies, especially as I believe that they also own the excellent Bear at North Moreton. I’m sure we could have gone on another day and would have been very pleased but on this occasion, we were not blown away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our food was not all served at the same time and this was aggravated by having to send back some solid fried eggs. The kitchen need to understand that if you serve a fried egg on a hot plate and it’s stood in the kitchen for a while, it won’t stay runny. Pork chop was not moist and could have, at least, been more manageable with a steak knife rather than a blunt knife. I’d have thought this would be a given - to swap knives. Where we were sat, they could do with getting out the duster. I would try them again but maybe not for a while.

It's a converted store front, plenty of room between tables for prams and walkers. Parking is a bit of a hike. Needs a bit of screening from curious passers-by Reasons that it's not five stars... Attractive and tasty bruschetta-like starter served on sourdough that defeated standard English (ie. blunt) table knife. Do I want to work that hard on a starter? Lovely desserts to share but TWO delicious donuts filled with strawberry rhubarb jam served to a table of three 🤔 *A heads up from the server would have been appreciated. We were staying locally and came here for dinner. Food was excellent and a good selection of options. Both had starters - Chicken satay and jerk prawns. For main we had pork belly and monk fish with Pak Choi and a creamy coconut sauce. Really nice flavours and decent portions- too stuffed to look at dessert menus. Service was good and felt looked after. A little on the pricey side (£77 for 2 with an alcoholic drink each) but not too bad, especially for the quality and portions.

Went to the hotel restaurant only. Good food, lovely rural setting, spacious for a big group friendly staff, will go again.
