Our absolute favourite pub with the most incredible food, service and atmosphere. The team here make you feel totally relaxed and at home (even with a very small child in tow). Nothing is too much effort and the food really speaks for itself. It's seasonal, incredible tasty and looks impeccable, without feeling stuffy and overly 'chef-y'. We really couldn't recommend it enough and have tried it at almost every sitting going and it never disappoints. Consistently blows us away and makes us want to book again, our go to spot!

Wow, wow, wow!!!! Could not advise it more, it is the perfect date night place in the whole of Oxfordshire. We were served by two young ladies who were both absolutely delightful and even though they were super busy they made time to check on our table and make sure we had a lovely experience. The food was just the best meal I’ve ever had. Fully worth the prices. The corn ribs are too die for and from the starter to the dessert everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked incredibly. I had the ribeye and my date had the Gnocchi and both exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to return soon! Ben (the owner) you should be very proud!

We met our friends here for a fantastic Sunday Roast! The place itself is a lovely, cosy Cotswold pub where nothing is symmetrical and you need to watch your step, but thats exactly what you expect from an authentic old English pub. A great selection of food with the huge roast dinner being the crowning glory. A great spot for a drink or a meal, with seating inside and out! The staff even made a fuss over our Spaniel which she loved! We will be back soon!

Wow, how lucky are we to have a pub in our village that serves such high quality food. We haven’t been to The Lamb to eat for a little while, but went last night and had an outstanding meal. Will be going again soon.

The BEST Sunday lunch! 🍽️🔥🤌🏻 I had a Sunday lunch with friends and it was just what the doctor ordered and more! The pub is quaint and full of character. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is incredible. The roast beef was the highlight and the beer was on point. I’ll definitely be back.

I had high expectations for the Lamb and Ben and his team did not at all disappoint. The pub atmosphere is so friendly coupled with a warm welcome from the owner Ben. His staff are incredibly knowledgable (helped by the close proximity to Le Manoir) and you always feel you are in safe hands. And that’s before the food arrives! I wanted to try everything on the menu but only had room for a few options. It was original, fairly priced and above all absolute delicious. Great selection of drinks as well. You must go if in the area! (And the gardens are stunning if you are into that kind of thing)

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch and having travelled from London for the weekend we found this beautiful gem where we soaked up the great village atmosphere along with the extremely attentive and friendly staff. Wonderful Village Pub serving super food, it’s not your normal pub food, but a great menu delivering super food and served by great staff in a friendly environment, can’t recommend enough! Where do I start? the facts: 1. Booking for 3.30 pm. Sat down at 4.15 pm. 2. Only 2 starters left available. 3. Have you ever had monkfish served with roasties, parsnips and overcooked Yorkshire pudding AND topped with gravy? 4. If you ask for your lamb to be cooked so that it is no longer pink would you expect it to be rare? 5. If you sent your lamb back to be prepared as requested would you expect it back within about a minute in the same condition it went into the kitchen in? 6. All the mains were served with no vegetables. The bill was discounted by all the food costs. that probably tells you all you need to know. Actually, what I think actually happened is that the chef went off duty at 4pm and they tried to muddle through without telling us. I guess they should have declined our booking if they knew it would give them a problem. Very poor management indeed. You have been warned.

We had planned to try the Lamb Inn for some time but something always prevented it from happening. Finally got to have lunch there yesterday and we are so pleased that we persisted. Great service, warm and welcoming atmosphere and excellent food. We will definitely be returning.

We arranged Sunday lunch for 14 plus 4 young children for an 80th birthday in the family. Four generations together. Ben and his team did a fantastic job getting it all organised. The Sunday roasts are absolutely brilliant anyway, but to get all the meals out at the same time while maintaining the excellent quality was a real feat and deserves special praise. Thank you for a fantastic meal. It’s easy to say “the best roast I ever had” but trust me, these are special.

Another delicious meal at the Lamb - group of 10 for family and friends on a Saturday night. Paige and Reece (Rhys?!) as welcoming as ever, relatively small menu which is always a good sign from a kitchen where the new Chef is working wonders. Superb vegetarian squash risotto-type dish, vegan option available without the ricotta cheese. We are very lucky to have a pub like this in our village.

It was a case of ‘just passing’ for me. I was on my own and had spotted The Lamb on my way to Harcourt Arboretum and made a note to stop off en route back. I’m glad I did. I really only wanted a drink and a small bite to eat. The pâté starter and a cold glass of Sauvignon was just perfect; plus a delicious (really good!) coffee for the road...served with an all-important biscuit! We were recommended to the Lamb particularly the actual food. However my Texan BBQ chicken was tasty but small and the Pork Goulash special was below standard expected.To serve the Goulash with large junks of bread AND rice with no vegetables let alone the pork itself lacking flavour and being not fully cooked was just not on.We were not asked by the waitress "was everything ok" which was the final straw!!The COVID rules are well observed.

I live 15 miles away from this pub -but the journey there is always worth while . It is exactly how a pub should be in my view --really cosy with candles and flowers , and a fire in the winter . The food is reasonably priced and always excellent . Plenty of choice . The two chaps who own it are really friendly and clearly care very much about their business and their customers. All the other staff are also really warm and friendly . another benefit is that it is SPOTLESSLY clean . Covid precautions all in place , I always have a good feeling about life when I come here , and hope to make the journey over again soon --well worth it . Keep up the good work and good luck

Dinner for 4: all the starters were great and 2 of the mains also. Not so great: the pie was average and my husband's steak was also so/so. All the dishes of an asian nature were excellent (bit surprising in the middle of oxfordshire but nevermind!). Staff were great and very friendly.

We really enjoyed our Sunday Lunch at this Thatched Pub in a small village nr Oxford. The homemade food was delicious and excellently presented. In addition to traditional roasts of lamb beef and pork there were other choices of main course. I particularly enjoyed my starter of Tempura Prawns and Sweet Chili Sauce. With dessert and coffee and drinks for 3 the bill came to c.£100 which was good value. The service was friendly. At the rear of the pub there is a pretty patio and flower garden for al fresco dining. We would highly recommend. The pub is well set up as a Covid Safe Enviroment.

What a gem! We booked here for Sunday lunch as our son is studying at Oxford Brookes uni. Its a nice trip out of the hustle and bustle to The Lamb. Lovely atmosphere with welcoming real log burner and traditional and cosy interior decor. The service was freindly and prompt and a good selection of food available, we had the traditional roast beef which was fab and with tasty gravy, fresh veg and great potatoes. I would thoroughly recommend this pub, we will be returning soon!

We met friends here for lunch. A warm cosy “old fashioned “ pub run by friendly owners. We were surprised at the comprehensive menu and all four of us chose different main courses which were all well cooked and delicious deserts equally as good. Could not speak too highly of our visit we will return.

We arrived for lunch just before 2 pm, to break our journey on our way to London. It was Valentine's Day, and we didn't have a reservation but they fitted us in, despite having been really busy. The staff were very helpful and full of smiles despite being tired after the main rush. We were in the area for a special meal for my birthday and as we were travelling quite a way made a 'break' of it. We were staying close by and I always use tripadvisor for a recommendation. This was top of the list and very close to where we were staying. It's a very nice place with good honest food, well prepared, tasty and good value for money. The staff were friendly and the bar was full (Wednesday night) with locals as well as us tourists. I always take this as a good sign if the locals are in evidence. We had a range of food from the menu and we all enjoyed our meals.

7 of us chose to meet here on a Tuesday in Jan 2020. One person has walking difficulties. There is no disabled access or toilet. On top of that the person behind the bar, told us they did not have enough food for 7 people, and that they were closing the following day.. we left within 5 minutes. Somewhere else got our money.

We came here for our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend and glad we did! The staff were pleasant, friendly and couldn't do enough for us, food was excellent and reasonably priced and the whole place had a wonderful atmosphere. Recommended!

I happened to be going through Little Milton at midday last Sunday and saw The Lamb Inn, popped in and found it was already fully booked but I could have a seat at the bar if I liked. Thank goodness I did, I had the best ever Ploughman's lunch I have ever had! Avery large oval carving dish size, toast, bread roll, 3 wedges of lovely cheeses, a large slice of delicious thick ham, pickled onions, chutney, a lovely green salad, and potato crisps, Very nice atmosphere, quiet classical music playing, packed with people, but all in little rooms and spaces off the central bar, so there was no great noise. Quiet but very busy staff satisfying all these people, a ;lovely ambience altogether
