We decided to try a take away from here for the first time and were certainly not disappointed. The food arrived on time, and was delivered by a very polite and friendly member of staff. The portions were a good size and we were impressed with how much meat was included. We ordered the lamb rhogan josh, butter chicken and saag aloo and they were all delicious. We'll definitely be making regular takeaway orders in the future !

Myself and my friend pop in two or three times a week for a latte and a cappuccino, and enjoy the very friendly banter with the owners. It is such a warm and friendly place to visit and has many returning customers. I can recommend this place to all. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food, great wine and superb service.

Every dish and every mouthful was a joy. Relaxed yet attentive and very knowledgeable service where every dish was explained when presented. A stroll around the garden before our lunchtime feast was also very enjoyable (although not much to see in the kitchen garden at this time of the year). Highly recommend; yes: it is an expensive treat, but a memorable one!

So good to come back after a long break and welcome was as warm as ever and the food delicious Soufflé so cheesy and the veal perfect. Nicely topped off with a crème brûlée One of our absolute favourites

A beautiful, friendly, welcoming pub. Sat outside in the sun. I had the best steak and ale pie that I've EVER eaten in a pub...proper pastry, rich gravy, lots of filling. The staff were lovely. I will definitely go back. Dog friendly, easy parking, what's not to love?

UPDATE 15/12/24 Dec 23rd is their last day! Pretty darn good burger and not bad espresso from Josh. Priced to sell, seems low for a Railway Station! Support local!

Love, love, love this place. Excellent food that is really reasonably priced. We were a table of six that all raved about our meals. The lady that owns the restaurant is hysterical, a total character that makes a visit here totally worth it

Not often that a pubs food is as good as it looks on Trip advisor, and tastes even better than anticipated! We booked for a large group for Sunday lunch quite last minute and were located in the very cool (but warm) garden tent and looked after very well by the team.

Fantastic pub. Full of friendship and human warmth. A hut lost in Oxfordshire with good embers in the stove and in hearts.

The best place for Sunday lunch and has been for a while. The service is lovely. Welcoming and organised. The cocktails are the best for miles. Still love it and still one of our top choices.
