An unassuming burger shop on the side of the Henley train station; turns into a hidden gem for burger connoisseurs. Highly recommend trying their Big Buddy’s Burger 🍔 and fries 🍟 if around Henley. It is good to support local independents; more so if they are adding value to the community. The Gents serving were friendly and knowledgeable about any allergies you may have - also cooked up some tasty burgers! Price to value was on point; the burgers are freshly cooked to order and are large filling patties. Fries were nice a crispy. Sauces were great too. Overall, would definitely recommend and go there again. Worth noting they also take NHS / blue light discount too. Also some free short drop off parking available just in front of the shop. They take all forms of payment: cash, card and Apple Pay.

SERIOUSLY EPIC ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely perfect burger every time. Genuinely I’m just beyond adequately putting into words right now how scrumptious and tasty our food was and how happy my full tummy is. My stomach has subsequently starved my brain of the appropriate and sufficiently gushing adjectives needed to justifiably enthuse about this burger masterpiece - there’s simply no description I could provide which would even get close to portraying how wonderful place is, the people are and the credit it truly deserves. Just go try it. These guys are fabulous and work seriously hard to provide amazing customer service x HUGE shout out to Josh and Benji who have just made me the the BEST BURGER EVER! I’m counting down the hours til you open again……

EXCELLENT service, and the best burger in town! (And I would know, I've tried them all.) Fast, friendly staff and unbeatable food -- the perfect train station takeaway.

This cafe is a gem. Exactly what we needed when we had run along the Thames path from Maidenhead only for the bus driver to drive right past us (rude!) and we had 50 minutes to wait for the next train in the cold and dark. Th staff were delightful - let us sit, charge our phones and even gave us a cup of tea at no charge. The food looked excellent; this is a lovely little spot to sit by the train station. Will be returning.

Just went in tonight for the classic ‘naughty fries’, if you haven’t tried them, you should! Charlie the owner was dealing with so many orders at once but always with a smile and in complete control, this place is an asset to Henley. Excellent.

Has a burger there last night, was gorgeous - best burger I’ve had for a long time. Agree with everyone else, fries were outstanding and fresh/hot….went at 7pm so was quiet but didn’t bother us. Food was amazing.

Recommended by friends so we tried it. Oh so delicious. I had half for dinner then other half for breakfast. Still delicious. Chips are also great! Have gone back second time and still as great as first time.

Quickly shot in to get a bite to eat before getting the train and WOW! Great value for money and Henley-on-Thames answer to a five guys tasting burger. Would highly recommend.

I go into buddy's as my weekly (sometimes 3x a week) treat and it's perfect every time. Big portions, reasonably priced and friendly. If anyone comes to town this is my go to place to impress them with the best burgers I've tasted!

Best burger in Henley and they don't gouge your eyes out with ridiculous prices. Breakfast burrito is amazing. Difficult to walk by and get a cheeky bite. Think they need a bigger kitchen though just to get the burgers out faster

Hi, came here last week with my mates to grab a burger and coffee and was greeted by 2 enthusiastic young girls. They seemed to have great chemistry behind the counter but are also very professional and polite to customers. The food was a 10/10 and would 100% go back again. I was also served an amazing coffee and had to grab a second one before I left to catch my train. Charlie and his two little "minions" were an amazing team and I hope to see them blossom as a business in the future.

By far the best burger and chips anywhere in Henley. I have eaten here three times now and it is consistently fabulous. Well done Buddy's. Keep up the high standards

Food is always really good but staff are always a bit weird

I have somehow managed THREE visits to Buddy's in the space of ten days! The breakfast bap (twice) is huge and delicious, perfect for lunch. I also made a special trip to Henley for a Pork belly burger for dinner, to celebrate good news - SO worth the trip through the roadworks and hail! The burger and "naughty fries" were mouthwatering and very filling. Well done, Buddy's - no other burgers will do!!

Popped in here for takeaway coffee and a wrap. The guy making our wraps took time over, and what seemed to be a real pleasure in his craft, which really came across in the flavours of the food. The wraps were delicious, including a vegetarian option. I totally disagree with the previous review about cleanliness, the staff seemed very on the ball. I will definitely be returning to try the burgers.

Best burger ever. On a dank dreary dreuchit day it was a day changer. Yum. Lovely atmosphere and although flat out busy there was a lovely happy smile from everyone. Can’t fault it at all.

Unhygienic and unprofessional. Popped in last Friday we order two burgers and fries. Whilst listening to my sons day at school, I watched in horror as the two guys working clearly “buddies” and speaking and swearing loudly. Like a boys/youth club. Sadly that was the part I could overlook. The older guy flipping the burgers was wearing blue gloves, so that was great. HOWEVER when he decided to moped and sweep, one might stupidly expect him to remove/exchange the gloves before resuming and handling more burgers. NOPE not at buddy’s.. Meanwhile his little teenage apprentice seemed to be digging through the salad looking for acceptable lettuce which wasn’t on the turn. Between bantering coughing into his elbow and forearm before happily resuming the excavation process 🥬 🍅. This wasn’t a cheap learning curve for a quick burger either. (£27ish) Really disappointing. Food was not consumed!!

Popped in for a Friday treat through recommendation i came to buddys and was defiantly not dissapointed. Pork belly burger and a small naughty fries was unreal the moment i took a bite of the pork belly my mouth lit up the only bad bit was when i realised i had eaten it all. then i started on the naughty fries and as the name suggests are very naughty i am normally a slow eater but i must of forgotten that eating at buddys because i ate the lot in 5minutes. everything from the service the food and the atmosphere was excellent will defiantly be returning and including this as part of my Friday routine

Just had the best burger in years. Real tasty beef and not too greasy. I’ll be going back!

Ordered a decaf latte. It was made using instant coffee. I pointed out I should have been told it's instant but the boss insisted it was espresso despite not seeing what his colleague did, who then confirmed it was instant and then showed him. Despite this I was refunded rudely and asked to leave. The food looks good but I won't return.

Right, this is one of those lovely moments in life where you’re recommended somewhere to go by somebody and with a little hesitance you oblige…. and are gifted with an absolute ace experience. I came here on a Friday night to be greeted by a lovely warm welcome! The chalkboard menu is clear and beautifully laid out. No pressure on ordering, I went for a buddy’s burger and large fries. Dude the fries were legit! Crispy and fluffy and plentiful. Burger was juicy, cheesy and exactly what you’d like a smashed burger to be! Took a few minutes to make my order but that didn’t matter in the slightest as it was made fresh and the decor inside is lovely for a small railway spot. Lots of live plants hanging in the window. They even tend to them with as much care as the food and have cuttings you can takeaway to grow your own (Love that!) Also, the price is super reasonable for what you get and I truly mean that! Compared to a certain unnamed renovated establishment in Henley that’s charging the earth, it’s night and day!!! I’ll also add that a few months ago I had coffee (flat white) in the morning and that was also superb. Keep doing what y’all are doing because its f**king great. Fantastic - Buddy's sets a high bar for burger options in Henley. Food was delicious and service was friendly and reasonably timely. If you're in a rush for a train, then be warned that most of the food appears to be cooked fresh! It's a simple menu, one headline option per choice of meat or breakfast option, with a wide range of extras and sauces that you could add. Don't miss them, the baseline beef burger is delicious as is but you can mix it up a lot with just a couple of additions. The bun was plump with a soft bite, the onions were freshly grilled and the beef patty was moist and flavourful. It tasted freshly cooked and that care had been taken to choose quality ingredients for even the smallest garnishing. The Halloumi fries were expensive at first sight of the menu but deliciously rewarding when they arrived. Warm and gooey centres with a slight crisp on the outside that didn't feel greasy or deep fried. Quantity was OK but i felt that I got enough value to recommend them as a side. Service was friendly and the food came in good time. One thing to note, it didn't look like it had socket plugs, if you're thinking about charging a laptop to work while waiting, this doesn't look like the right place to do it.

I live just over the road from this amazing place. I've tried the Burger, Chicken Burger and Breakfast Burger. All absolutely spot on! (The fries are delicious too!) Staff are friendly, welcoming and know their stuff. My two daughters are equally amazed by the quality of the food. In fact we're off over again this evening for dinner :)

As a Buddy's regular I was super keen to try their new menu. I was not disappointed!! I had the Italian Bagel and oh me oh my it was fantastic! So fresh and a nice light alternative to their equally great breakfast burger. My sister had the breakfast wrap which brought a nice hit of Mexico to the joint she described it as God tier. Recently opened diner in the station. Breakfast is the usual fare of baps, full English, smashed avocado. The lunch menu has a pretty wide range of burgers too. Coffee and soft drinks available. I had the breakfast burger which was huge and really quite amazing, will definitely be going back. Coffees were good too. Cheers to the staff for checking about allergies too.
