Lovely food, great atmosphere when we had a meal there. One waitress was looking after everyone and was amazing .

tonights take away Thia Chicken Green curry the chicken pieces tasted like scrag ends of chicken - a result I will not be a returning customer🙁

I am a Chinese, but i really enjoy this restaurant perhaps the best in Oxfordshire. Authentic taste and service is always excellent, only thing i would suggest is mabe bigger portion. Thanks

The worst dining out experience I have ever had (and I've eaten in some dodgy places!) Raw chicken, the food was completely devoid of flavour and the customer service was non existent. We sent back almost full plates of food at both courses and not once did anyone ask if everything was okay. I had to go and find a member of staff to send the plates back. Absolutely disgusting and a complete waste of almost £50 (2 people/soft drink only)

Looks can be deceiving. From the outside, on a cold winters evening it looks uninviting, but for the adventurous that would be a mistake, staff are welcoming polite and attentive. The menu is usually what is expected from this pallet, but make no mistake the quality, portions and speed of service is second to none. We will make this a haunt for the future.

Good food, a bit slow but a friendly family business

Good covid measures in place. Warm welcome as always shown to table allowed good time to look at menu before drink and starters ordered food arrived quickly well presented and hot. Main followed after being asked if we were ready which was nice. All the way through we were asked if everything was ok waitress interacted with our son which was nice. Table was cleared and all left over food was boxed up without even being asked. Good amount of time time before bill was presented so not felt rushed into paying. In all great food great service great place to vist

I have eaten here several times and tried many of the dishes on offer. I have always been very pleased with both the food and the service.

I was there with my family, waitress was nice and helpful. Foods were so good. My favourite is padthai, my son's is tonkuaszu. For my husband favourite is Thai beef B/Q. Price is reasonable . I love to go there often.

I didn’t even know we had a Thai takeaway in Wallingford! Well I do now and I will use it more often. Excellent meals everyone was very happy and loads of food, good quality and plenty of it. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommmend . Someone does need to build them a website and somehow get a menu on the internet. Managed to order from a bad photo on trip advisor that a previous reviewer had left which concerned me. However , food was exceptional . What a hidden gem.

This place is amazing for vegan food! I asked for the pad Thai without meat or egg and it came out with tofu and vegetables, it was delicious! My husband had the red curry with veg and it was lovely, really creamy, silky with a good kick! The spring rolls are also yummy because they are round and full of veg not like those flat crispy ones you get in other restaurants that are essentially just fried pastry. Great for take away too!

Eat at east is a small venue serving Asian foods which are inexpensive and good value. Good for people like me that makes last minute choices and doesn’t want to be fussy.. good choice on the menu but don’t expect War and Peace, just 40 dishes inc Starters.

We had early bird dinner in there about a week ago. The laksa noodles are delicious with big fresh prawns. The waitress was friendly and we really enjoyed our meals and we will go again tonight. I suggest they should have a website to let more people know about the place and see the menu.

Great Pad Thai and quick service!

Fantastic Thai food and very reasonable prices, matched only by the exceptionally friendly customer service. My wife and I took our 10 month old daughter this evening and they made extra effort to ensure she was accommodated. Fully recommend a trip to this restaurant, will definately go again.

This Thai food is amazing! I’ve been 3 times now and brought my family with me and they enjoyed it just as much as me! The early bird menu is amazing it’s 3 courses for £10.95 which runs from Monday to Friday 5pm-7pm I think. The curries are amazing and they also do takeaway! Can’t rave about this place enough the staff are also amazing! Best Thai I’ve tried

I have been here a few times now and will continue to visit. I’ve tried to make Pad Thai many times, but it never tastes the same as what I have here. The gold bags for starter are really good too. (I have tried other things, but these are my favourite)It’s a nice place to come to, for a nice chilled meal. Service isn’t rushed, quite relaxed but always friendly and nearby should you need anything. Don’t expect a posh establishment, I find the decor part of the charm though. Value overall is brilliant. We tend to have the before 7pm early bird menu. About £11 for two courses and a tea or coffee.

Looks shabby on the outside but don't let it fool you a lovely homely restaraunt with beautiful food and kind staff it is the best Chinese food I have ever had. I strongly recommend the thai ice tea with lemon basil seeds

We were passing by and decided to stop at Wallingford and came across this little Thai restaurant that was opened until late lunch.The wine menu was limited but with lovely options. The house white matched my meal to perfection. There were different types of beers and other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.The lunch menu was so inexpensive that we decided to have starters and mains. I had the steamed chicken dumplings and my partner the fried vegetable spring rolls. Both were delicious. As mains, my partner went for the fried pork rice and I had the chicken red curry with steamed jasmine rice. Again, both meals were tasty and generous.The service was just perfect, attentive and friendly. The decor is simple yet cosy and helps you enjoy a lovely feast.

We had a weekend in Wallingford recently - after touring the town wondering what to eat we settled on Eat@East and I'm really glad we did. Delicious Thai and Malay/Indonesian food with friendly service. We went for the veg options - panang curry (the best in my opinion), gado gado and mee goreng. All good. It's an unpretentious gem and good value too - it wasn't busy when we went in but was full by the time we left.Talking to the owners of the B&B we were staying at, they were raving about it too. I think the 5 star rating is well deserved!

This is now a restaurant/cafe I bring friends and family to whenever possible.

Perfect low key cafe/restaurant. Close your eyes you could be in SE Asia. A range of dishes from Thailand/Indonesia.

Have used their other business in town Thai Corner a lot for many years and noticed over the past three visits that has deteriorated a lot in standard and speed

Was expecting great food after reading reviews but far from it. Very average green curry with hardly any chicken The ribs were tough and well overpriced for 3 tiny ribs. And the Singapore noodles were tasteless Only thing we actually enjoyed was the dumplings . 3 people are and the portions were pretty small expect to spend about 45 quid to feed 3.

This is a great Thai! Every time I'm in Wallingford I have a meal here. The opening hours are better than other lunch places and the food is both tasty and good value. Try it!

This place is such an underrated gem in Wallingford. It doesn't look much on the inside, but don't let that fool you. The food here is all prepared from scratch, fresh to order, authentic and tastes incredible. Between three of us we shared starters of pork spring rolls, chicken satay, pork ribs and fish cakes and each one was seasoned and flavoured perfectly. For main we ordered the Pad Thai, BBQ Beef and a Green Curry and each of us absolutely loved our orders. It was really reasonably priced as well, the starters, mains and 6 beers between us cost around £60, which is an absolute steal!

We had a takeaymeal from here that was so delicious. Really authentic Thai food. Friends of ours who were from Thailand had recommended it so we gave it a try. It was perfect. Really fresh, tasty flavours. We had a Thai green curry with rice and a Nasi Goreng. Would really recommend both. The restaurant is often quite empty which is a shame as it’s a great addition to the Wallingford restaurant offering.

Unusual l little cafe but food is freshly cooked to order and good quality. I will be a regular visitor!

We had lunch again at this restaurant and can't recommend it enough! The meals are delicious, varied and freshly prepared. Also the staff is very warm and friendly. Eat@East is now our favorite Oxfordshire Thai.

Food is good, some of the brilliant dishes have been replaced with less complex dishes. Still good value for money!

Upon visiting, you can tell this could have been another takeaway place, had the owners not approached it with love and passion and transformed it into a respectable Pan-Asian restaurant, teeming with character.

We visited after bunkfest, and had the 3 course early dinner. Good value, food very good. Loved the red curry! Would be good to offer a sharing menu, would be happy to pay more for this.

08.10.18. I went in here at 4.30pm as the door was open. I was told that they were closed until 5pm. I explained that I am disabled and they very kindly allowed me to sit down and would make me a coffee once their machine was warmed up. I was very appreciative indeed.

Having tried takeaway lunch previously, I suggested a meal here for 8 of us. Really impressed with the food and the value for money. Service was a little slow but that did not matter at all. Lovely menu, great tasting, authentic food. Highly recommended.

I have coeliac disease and LOVE Thai cuisine. Eat @ East is a charming, good value Thai in the center of Wallingford which provides detailed ingredient information for diners who have special dietary requirements. The venue is very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly. I go as often as possible!

After many verbal reviews and excellent tripadvisor reviews we popped in pre 7pm! What can I say fresh food , great service and a great price ... thank you . We will return , satay chicken and the Singapore noodles fantastic!

Fantastic Thai food and friendly service. Lovely manager - Tuk, who is very helpful. If you don't like spicy food, they will cook the dish to your preference. If it isn't spicy enough, they will bring the condiments to your table for you to increase the heat! It's open for coffee and food from 11am until 9.30pm Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sundays. Thai people eat here. So it must be good. I highly recommend that you try it. Thank you Tuk and chef, see you soon. C.x

I went here today on my own for an Early Bird menu. The service was great from Tuk and I chatted to another line lady. Busy with takeaways and other people dropping in for a meal.

This restaurant is opposite Waitrose and offers coffee drinks and home cooked "Eastern"/Asian food including Thai,Chinese,Malaysian etc. All tasty dishes at reasonable prices

I popped in here as I had heard good comments about the food. I ordered a Pad Thai to takeaway and a glass of wine. I ended up chatting to Tuk (manager/owner) for ages. Predominantly about various restaurants and cuisines.

A former café which has been redone as a Far East embracing restaurant doing Thai Malaysian Chinese and overlapping fusion. Interesting food and well worth a try. Opposite Waitrose.

We chose to eat off the very good value early bird menu which came in at £10-95 per head for 2 courses , this operates 5.00 - 7.00 PM although we arrived just a tad later than 7.00 they very kindly allowed us to select from this menu , a very nice touch i thought, which can only encourage a return

A group of 8 of us popped in for lunch on the spur of the moment. They were very accommodating, the food was absolutely delicious at a very reasonable price and we were made to feel very welcome. I love Thai food and can't believe I haven't tried this great place before now! Will definitely be back

I've been here a couple of times and both times the food has been excellent and genuine. Eat @ East is owned and run by the same team as the nearby Thai Corner, but the cuisine is more diversely South East Asian, bringing in Malaysian, Indonesian and other cuisines. The quality of the food is great and the portion sizes good without being overly generous. The ambience is simple and Asian, and the staff quiet and polite. Eat @ East is presently offering a take away service but not yet a delivery service (much like Thai Corner).

I have walked past eat@east many times always promising to give it a try and after several months of procrastination finally did so for lunch today. The prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food was outstanding.

We stopped here for a quick lunch and chose two starters and two mains from the lunch specials menu, which was very reasonably priced. The steamed dumplings were so light and tasty and the broths reminded me of the food we had in Thailand - it has the same home-cooked quality where the combination of flavours are faithful to what you might find in the East. Everything was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

First thought are this is not much of a resteraunt, but they do call it a thai cafe.
