Fantastic spot hidden in the marina. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and the view was beautiful, food was excellent and the vibe was relaxed. If only there was a shortcut walk from Caversham to it!

Delightful old pub, very nice dining rooms. We walked up for a Saturday lunch, and the staff were accommodating and efficient, very welcoming. It was a reassuringly pricey menu suggesting quality and cooking skills, but the food was ….. underwhelming. Quite bland dishes, under seasoned and just not very tasty. Is hard to make chicken gravy tasteless! We were a party of five, and this was consensus. Such a shame.

We regularly attend the Royal Oak on a Thursday. As someone with food allergies the GF menu is considerably good and the food always tastes good. Great atmosphere and good service. Definitely recommend a visit if you haven't been as of yet.

A delightful family run café with a huge range of hot chocolates and home-made hash browns highly recommended! My wife enjoyed the vegetarian options too!

Lovely village with lots of character & charming Abbey. Very old hotel undergoing stylish refurbishment to a high standard. Super renovated rooms - excellent food - friendly service. Parking at back of hotel a little tricky to locate. Highly recommend.

Played in folk session last week and it was a lovely friendly atmosphere. Locals seemed to liked the entertainment and staff great. Smiles all round. Good range of real ales too!

This pub is at the moment in the process of new owners, still open for a pint, very limited food, good area for cyclists and walkers.
