We were here after going to a funeral so can’t really comment on atmosphere or food although they did cater for our group with sandwiches.

Excellent food. Beers good too. Great bar staff. Visited from Birmingham. Free parking

Good food and great beer selection

Service slow, meat portions small, but worst of all, 4 adults, 2 childrens, adults finished before childs meals came out. Kitchen claimed they had not received the order from the service staff. Never again....KP

Popped in to this pub for dinner last night. The food was filling and tasty. Washed down with a nice pint of Black Sheep real ale. They have a good selection of real ale and lagers at the bar. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Food was decent pub fare. A good choice of drinks. Very helpful waiting staff and nice surroundings. Had the feel of a good local pub.

Family meal for a carvery yesterday (Sunday). Very disappointed. It isn't a carvery, more like a buffet. The menu on a weekday / Saturday is great, have had some great meals in the past. First Sunday experience. A very limited menu. Carvery or nothing else. I had the chicken, which was not carved, but picked out by a member of staff from a chaffing dish. It was very dry. Veg was ok.

I asked how the onion rings and mushrooms were cooked to a old man behind the bar but he never came back to me. They were disgusting fell of grease.

One of my favourite places to drink, always good atmosphere and plenty of board games and entertainment. Nice decor and a good tap selection too! Have had a mix of quality for food at this place but generally all okay. My favourite is the small plates deal. Great for sharing!

Drinks okay, but service a bit off. Son in law was left not quite knowing if rest of order was to be served at table or if he was supposed to collect from bar.

Was not busy but More than 1 hour wait for food which was below expectations. Don’t open if you have staffing issues please as you are ruining your customers experience.

In general always a good experience + food (when it's served), however when in the middle of watching & enjoying horse racing the TV has been switched to rugby (not even an England team playing) at a request of 1 or 2 tables. Not really a fair play I don't think, considering that clearly some people where happy watching a horse race as well. Just my honest opinion.

The lovely team at the Mulberry saved Mother's Day lunch for me today. A pub only a few miles away had closed for the day and not contacted me to let me know. Both my Mum and I had driven 60 miles each to meet for lunch and were faced with the prospect of not finding somewhere, on one of the busiest lunch days. When I rang, the lady on the phone said that we should come by and they would find us a table so that our lunch was not spoilt. On arrival, we were treated like VIPs, with both Mum and I receiving a complementary glass of Prosecco and rushed to our table (even in front of another group who arrived at the same time). The service was fantastic, with the team regularly checking that we were happy and comfortable. The carvery was great and you can fill up on some lovely veg (and go back for seconds). All round the team at the Mulberry saved our Mother's Day lunch... thank you so much!

Would just like to thank , all the staff at the mulberry for helping make last nights Birthday Celebrations so special .. we came as a large group of 24 having pre booked our food before hand . The food came out all at the same time not one complaint .. staff were so accommodating the whole evening .. a special thank you for keeping the Xmas lights up for me as really set the tone for celebrations.. everyone commented on how lovely the food was & how beautiful the pub looked .. again thank you for all your help & we will certainly be back . Many thanks for us all x families 1-2-3-4-5-6 :)

My new favourite steak place, pizza was amazing, too.

We done breakfast with Santa. Santa was fantastic really great with the children and the staff were lovely as well. Food was ok nothing amazing and they didn't have any cold options just a fry up no cereals or anything like that. I was a bit shocked that we paid £60 as a family of four for a buffet breakfast and then received a drinks bill! I thought a buffet breakfast would include one drink each of our choice but apperently not that was the only let down so really it cost us £72 for the 2 hours we had there. Was great apart from the drinks bill.

We visited here with. Large group of us for our work Xmas meal, the food was really good. Served in a timely manor and really tasty. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, I’d certainly recommend this establishment

Went for lunch today, it was 3 degrees outside and they didn't have the heating on! Food was tasty and service was friendly but we had to put our coats back on. No mention of broken heating or anything

Book for my son's 12th birthday, was a great space for such a big party, Kids wanted Pizzas in the stone baked oven. They absolutely loved them, come out hot an oozing with filling. Adults finished their picks off the menu. The Mulberry is so beautiful, very clean and tidy and decorated amazingly even decorated for my son's party lovely. Staff are so accommodating and happy to help. Will be booking a Christmas feast 2023 definitely.

Very very nice atmosphere, staff are very polite. Menu has alot to choose from, gluten free available also it is fresh and good portions. “The Sunday carvery is amazing” There’s a kids corner where children can choose a game for their time there. Inside and outside dining also and plenty of parking.

Food was good, Pizza very nice, but loud background music very annoying, difficult to hold a conversation without shouting. Chairs in conservatory could do with seat pads/cushions very hard to sit on for any length of time.

Call it what you want, but it will always be the Wally Arms! Good atmosphere in there now and very good food. However, the carvery is a bit hit and miss. If you go at lunchtime, or very early afternoon, it is fantastic, but the later you go, the standard drops quite rapidly. I recently went at 3 pm and the potatoes and vegetables were not fresh. More consistency required.

Really lovely evening spent with my friend. The staff were polite friendly and very attentive. We whiled away the hours and didn't feel like we were bring rushed. The food was superb and the drinks were very well priced!

First visit to The Mulberry for lunch with my best friend. The service was great with Steven as our host who made us feel very welcome. He had a great sense of humour & The Mulberry should feel very proud to have him working there as he has a great rapport with customers. The menu had a good selection & the food which was very tasty. The pub was very clean & very well decorated with plenty of seating both inside & out. Will definitely be returning

I feel compelled to actually write a review of somewhere we have eaten. We had Sunday carvery and it was one of the best if not the best in as long as I can remember. The biscoff cheesecake was also amazing. So thank you! We will definately come again!

Had the unfortunate experience of working away from home in Didcot, ventured out to find places to eat / drink. The Mulberry ended up being my go to for a pint. Good atmosphere, friendly barstaff, pub Quiz on Monday( thanks Mick) open mic 🎤 night, not a pizza fan myself but thier pizza is great. Thanks to all the staff @ The Mulberry, big shout out to Mick, Vicki and Louis

We visited here 2 weeks ago and was really impressed then Wednesday we turned up and took a seat. We ordered and awaited with great anticipation. The food arrived the veg for my meal were on my husband's plate and my husbands veg were on my plate. So lack of attention to detail comes to mind. Our attention came to the cutlery face down into a rusty tin. Then as we tucked in the veg it was raw this burst the bubble of excitement. The staff are lovely. No management were available to address the issues. The waitress said the cutlery tins are put in the dishwasher. My advice is to go and have drinks only.

The gravy container was too high with a long ladle and a lid that fell into the gravy. This too was while holding the plate as nowhere to place it while dispensing gravy, mint sauce, and other things. I like peas but none there.

We went there for Sunday carvery for the first time. We got there just after midday when it was being put out on the servicing station , all looked lovely, but unfortunately the vegetables was all cold, we had 2 meats (beef and chicken) and a large Yorkshire, and for the cost of £20 per person which we thought was a bit expensive. All I say is,, warm the food up better and it would have been more enjoyable.

So, food was nice, however it was cold. Service was pretty bad, asked numerous times for menus only to see the guy who was going to bring a menu sit down and chat to another person sat at the bar. The bill also took a long time to come. Dessert was very nice though.

So good to have a decent pub on the centre of Didcot! Went along on a Friday evening and was met with friendly staff with plenty of banter, live music, and an excellent atmosphere. Good selection of ales, beers, and so on. I didn't eat, but the food certainly smelled good. Looking forward to my next visit! Update - have since had their Sunday roast and can definitely recommend!

My husband and I went for the Sunday Carvery and it was excellent. We had the roast beef which was cooked just as we liked it and there was a good selection of vegetables to help ourselves to. We will be back.

The pub was packed to the rafters with only one poor lady trying to cope, a barrel needed changing, nobody to do it, the management need to hang their head in shame, a wonderful venue, people trying to do there best, you need to get your act together. I have have really nice meals there . At the busiest time of the year you need to keep your eye on the ball.

Went for a Sunday carvery with my grandparents and the meal was decent so no real complaints there (although I won’t be back). Our bill came and before my grandparents realised they had paid around £120 instead of £85. We checked the bill afterwards (stupidly) and saw that there were kids meals, pints of beer etc on the bill that clearly were not from our table. The staff apologised and refunded my Nan which is fine. The only reason I am writing this review 2 months after the fact is because the same thing happened today to our table. My partners brother was charged £58 instead of £42 and they couldn’t provide an itemised receipt showing what extra had been added . I urge anyone ordering food, especially larger groups, to double check the bill before making payment

Service was very good, staff we're very welcoming and helpful, can't fault them at all. The downfall of the meal was that I was overcharged by 35% of the total meal, realising after friends at the table have previously been known to be overcharged. I asked for a itemised bill initially for the meal, I was told it wasn't available. So after explaining exactly what was ordered, the difference was eventually refunded in cash and not via the card I had paid with. It was fairly refunded but the only take away for future visitors is watch you're not getting overcharged.

Great establishment, went there today for a roast the starters were lovely especially the halloumi! The meat is very good quality and very generous portions only downfall small amount of carrot’s and roast potatoes in my opinion and personal view need to be done in ( Duck fat or Goose fat ) and fluffy in the inside and crispy on the outside also the stuffing was dry but other then that very good quality would definitely come most Sundays if these slight adjustments was made

Went for roast on Sunday, Food was great and the price was more than fair. My very noticeable critics would be I'm guessing the manager older lady baggy jumper (staff were all young) was going into the carvery section and in front of us picking at the food while enjoying the gravy (I would most likely do the same 😅 just not in customer view). I had to grab someones attention to get food and drink. Lastly the young staff clothing is awful most wearing leggings up to there belly buttons with everything on display, i don't mean to sound rude but a good uniform would tidy the work staff up and add a professional look to a nice pub.

Really rubbish experience, waited over an hour for food , duty manager didn't apologise to be fair all his staff did but he didnt seem to care , won't ever visit here again absolute disgusting customer service don't waste your time or money here

Brilliant night, great decor, friendly staff, great atmosphere

Went to the Mulberry for a Sunday calvery. B.E.A.utiful. There is a choice of a small or large plate which is brilliant if you are a small person - just right for my daughter. I had the beef and I can honestly say it was melt in the mouth perfect. The deserts are excellent too. 👌 One improvement I could suggest is it was a little cold in the room - turn the heating up?

The food is really lovely here. They have vegan cheese pizza options, and the pizza is properly made in a pizza oven so the crust is delicious. The prices are fairly standard for Oxfordshire. I'd love to visit their open mic night one day. I popped in to see the pub quiz and it looked really fun. It seems the might also have live music sometimes :)

Good service, all staff very pleasant, friendly and polite, we chose the Sunday Carvery, food lovely and hot generous portions of meat already plated, plenty of choice of vegetables, jugs of gravy brought to the table. Prices paid for food and drinks very reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunchtime visit, highly recommended.

We "booked" part of the Mulberry for the wake of two family members. The staff were excellent and the buffet provided was tasty and generous. It all contributed to making a sad time a little easier. Thank you.

Very disappointed. We were told to leave our unreservered tables by manager Anabel even though we had been there for a couple of hours. They think more of the eaters than the drinkers. Very sad

We’ll organiser. Superb car very - the quality was excellent. Would love to come back and try their pizzas. Service was friendly and professional, they’ve even got their own Mulberry wine! So much better now it’s got new owners.

It was nice, but there was a Green King plaque near the door that was misleading to anyone who has a discount for the green king. The food was not impressive at all. The staff members were very nice and friendly. I would definitely go back there for a drink, but not to eat. Sorry.

My Son and his Girlfriend have just bought a house down the road so we popped in for a housewarming meal today. It is lovely inside having been recently refurbished and the staff were busy but still attentive. We ordered the meat and vegetarian part of the meal at our table and were called over when it was our turn. The main part of the meal and the Yorkshire pudding was placed above the hot plate and we dished up our own veggies which were red cabbage, broccoli, rainbow carrots, roast potatoes and parsnips, cauliflower cheese and last bite not least stuffing. The gravy was vegetarian so no getting the gravy mixed up. A great dinner, great staff and lovely pub.

After hearing good reviews since a change of ownership, we were very disappointed with our visit. Starters were good but mains were lacking. No Apple sauce with the pork and the chicken/chorizo skewers very dry. Busy pub so lacked ambience in the restaurant plus slow service resulted in an overall disappointing experience. Staff good but clearly overrun. If this place is marketing itself as a pub/restaurant, they haven’t yet got the balance right, unfortunately.

Staff are friendly and welcoming, that’s the only justification for the 1 star as I can’t put 0. Sunday Carvery was not good at all, the beef was flavourless the cauliflower cheese looked like cottage cheese and tasted worse, veg was very undercooked, and the gravy well I may aswell poured a glass of water over my dinner. On the otherhand I was only passing through so never have to come again.

I do not know where these 5 star ratings come from because in my experience I would give them zero if I could. I visited the establishment a few weeks ago to have a Sunday carvery, I have to admit that the kitchen staff have mastered the technique of removing all the flavour from food, the meal was disgusting, the only thing on the plate that had any taste what so ever was the pork crackling. For about £14 a throw this was the worst meal I have ever had, supplemented by totally over priced beer.

Pizzas are really nice! The Hot Diavolo is quite hot. Not a bad beer selection either.

Ate here in 2019: one of best pizzas we have eaten in a long time. Now reopened again in 2022 under new ownership. The pizzas not as good as they used to be, but they now do excellent grilled meats and the largest pork ribs I have ever seen.

4 of us dined here on Tuesday 9th August. We had a booking and were made to feel welcome immediately by Jess and Harry She took our order and then because of the extremely hot weather one of the fridges had broken down. They came back to let us know that they were not happy to serve some of our dishes in case the meat had gone off. They were very apologetic, but these things happen and not their fault. We had a wonderful evening. After we returned home Harry phoned our landline to say he thought one of us had left their phone on the table. Once we established it was one of ours he kept it behind the bar for us to collect. What excellent service. Can't praise Jess and Harry enough they are a credit to the restaurant. Definitely recommend and will be going again
