Had a party for 14 on Saturday .Tasty food 14 empty plates, friendly and efficient staff, lovely atmosphere . Highly recomend

The food was amazing. The staff are very nice and welcoming. They celebrated my birthday with waffles. Very nice , everyone is very friendly.

I know... 5 stars in all 3 areas sounds unlikely... but, on 3 occasions now we have stopped off here on our way from B'ham to the south coast on a Sunday and each time it has been very busy and really good in all respects... Friendly Landlady and staff who were a credit to her, very attentive during our visit - 2 Excellent (very generous portions - with separate veg inc Cauliflower Cheese) well presented Sunday roasts, 2 pints and out for bang on 40 quid! Proper Result - Go Forth & Prosper!!

Delicious homemade roast dinner. Definitely recommend

Visited as part of a large private party for a roast dinner. The food was average at best, we've had much better elsewhere. The side veg was under cooked for our liking, the poor young girl serving was under great pressure, she was doing her best. Some guests asked for more roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings but these didn't arrive. The chicken was very chewy, the pork wasn't great either and the beef was very fatty and nearly all the guests left so hungry they had to buy fast food on their way home. I'm posting a review because the lead guest has told me they were over charged by around £90 and they had visited to complain and request this be refunded, they were greeted by a very bad attitude from the guy behind the bar and he became quite verbally abusive which we feel is extremely bad. The customer is always right until proven otherwise. We were also told the bill was not itemised, which it should have been. The lead guests were told a service charge had been added on, this was not pre discussed or agreed prior to the event, and they were also told the childrens roast would be half price, but had been charged full price. When this was questioned during the conversation, the guy behind the bar said "well did you expect it all for nothing?" No they certainly did not and we didn't take kindly to the maner in which he spoke to them. It was finally resolved with a refund being given of £72 so please be aware of this, should you be thinking of booking your own function at this place. We certainly would not return again.

This pub took a last minute request for 11 people and the staff were super friendly. They have a good selection of beer available and food too. They have parking available but we had to park near a residential property since it was full. It was a pretty cosy atmosphere and they had ample seating available. The hot and spicy wings had a good masala however the meat was pretty bland. The steak and ale was pretty good, we enjoyed the gravy. The Thai green curry was surprisingly authentic however the quantity could be a little bit more, the curry was too little for the rice provided. The brownie with ice-cream was delicious and the perfect amount.

A warm welcome on a Thursday lunchtime. The pub was warm- no complaints.My soup was delicious- my friends pate looked A1 and was apparently great too. These village pubs must be kept open. I'd gladly visit here again

Barely any vegan and gluten free options, and none for dessert.

This pub is a scam, they poor “ales” from bottles instead of casks, food service and horrible vibe

Having made a nostalgic visit for lunch and a pint in April, I found at the King’s Arms the same congenial hospitality and quality that I knew when I lived in nearby Holton some 47 years ago! Friendly people, good food, and that traditional pub ambience that I enjoyed as a young American serviceman living in England!

Had lunch here before going to Water Perry Gardens. The food and service was great .

What a lovely venue for food and drinks in Wheatley! The Staff are a credit to the Management. A very welcoming, warm and friendly place. Very tasteful background music that had us bopping in our seats. They even provided throws to keep us warm should the weather change. A scrupulously clean environment I'm looking forward to my next visit. Well done 👏

I wish this pub was in Stockport! We were travelling and rang this pub to see when they stopped serving food which was 2.30 but they kept the kitchen open for us until we arrived at 3pm. We had steak pie and a couple if pints. Great food. Warm and fun atmosphere. Dogs allowed in certain areas and good outdoor space. For wine lovers they had some great Romanian wines which were delicious.

Really nice pub, great food, and 3 minutes from the M40. If you exit the motorway for Oxford services drive past that and go to The Kings Arms instead!

After 2 years of being in Oxford, I finally decided to give the King's Arms (Wheatley) a try. I went in and was given a very warm welcome! The barkeep was very friendly and made sure everything was ok, etc. An absolute A+ for service in my books. I ordered the sausage and mash and chicken wings, quite pricey in my opinion. Came to a grand total of 20 quid! Thank god I didn't get a pint with it! To be critical (and hence why it's only 4 stars), the chicken wings were hard and not tender at all. They were also misadvertised as "garlic and chili wings" - to my surprise, when they came out, they were just plain chicken wings drizzled in sweet chili sauce. This slightly ticked me off since I was expecting the Chinese takeaway style of finely chopped garlic and raw chili, deep fried in batter. However, the sausage and mash was extremely nice! I'd highly recommend that. I'd definitely return here afrer a long study session to relax and chat to the locals (who are very friendly!) Overall a great pub with a lovely cozy vibe to it! Please visit it!

Tonight was my first time coming to this pub, but honestly I have nothing absolutely nothing bad to say about this pub. The staff are really friendly and give you a warm welcome,the atmosphere is a very positive one and the food is so amazing you'll love it. I highly recommend this pub to anyone passing through Wheatley you shall not be disappointed.

This place is incredible. Great staff, owner, atmosphere and the best of all is the food! The food is incredible and when you consider that 2 of us ate starters, main course and drinks for £40 its great value. Certainly not busy enough for the quality that these guys serve.

Lovely little pub located close to Oxfordbrook university Wheatley campus. Really friendly service and lots of original features and good outdoor seating area. Food was average but in all a decent quick stop.

We went to this The Kings Arm randomly after looking for somewhere to eat and let tell you we wasn’t disappointed at all.Soon as we walked through the door we was greeted and all the staff were very friendly.Food is definitely worth it and would definitely go there again.

The place is fantastic the staff is what makes it so lovely I did not mean to give one star. It is a 5 star place all day long because of staff and the fantastic punters.

I recently visited this establishment for the first time. I found all the staff welcoming and only too willing to help and advise going through the menu. Eight of us really enjoyed our lunch and the complimentary ice creams for the kids really was a nice touch. Looking forward to a return visit.

Our family have been here a few times, and each time the food and service has been great.Really good value. I had baked goats cheese to start, followed by roast beef which was so tender. Really enjoyed it we all had a fab meal and will definitely be returning soon.Dog friendly too, our little puppy really enjoyed it too ha.Lovely pub, has a really nice atmosphere.

Chose to eat here so we could take our dog. We were able to eat in the bar where there were quite a few tables. There was a nice ambiance, it seemed to be quite busy, staff and customers were friendly.We both had main courses from the Thai menu, which was available on a Friday evening, spicy and tasty. Also beer and desserts. There were a couple of ales on tap.

Ate at the kings arms when visiting Wheatley. The food was good freshly cooked and hot. The restaurant didn’t seem very busy but we were early.

We stopped here for a couple of pints and a bit of grub en route to the Kassam Stadium. My friend had a very decent chicken burger with chips and salad and we drank their San Miguel on draft which is my favourite.The bar staff are friendly and helpful (we needed serving quickly as we running late) and it was only a shame we couldn’t have Thai because of the wait.

Nice food and the staff were kind and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was piping hot but if you are having a roast dinner then the chicken is a better choice than the beef :)

The staff are very friendly Unfortunately the Sunday roast is not served at dinner time. I took the beef burger and although I asked for medium ,it came well done and indeed dry and tasteless . I would NOT recommend the burger.
