Amazing service, friendly staff and atmosphere. Food is fabulous. Parking is easy - when it gets busy and the car park is full, people park on the road outside which is also fine. Family friendly. Kids welcome. Dogs welcome. All in all, a brilliant place to go to and feel like part of the furniture

After reading the very inviting comprehensive website I called to make a breakfast reservation in The Lounge at 9.30am. I was told by a very supercilious telephone operator that this is not possible ...it is 1st come 1st serve before 12.30pm which is not listed on the very comprehensive website.I then asked for other options and was told very superciliously that there were none.I expressed my disappointment in this not being listed on said website and she didn't give a darn. Well shes getting paid regardless.

Sorry to say the pub had no heating even the owner kept his green puffa jacket on. Advertised Surrey farms beef it was definitely not chicken breast roast had bone in and also served with a drumstick?no chicken liver stater only one scotch egg. All in all a very disappointing Sunday roast. Not enough staff to clear tables only two on it was a shambles. From a business man looking at someone else’s business it’s not working. Ps the lad that was behind the bar was great .

Having visited this cafe for years it’s suddenly taken a turn for the worst and I’m not talking about the queue to order the food. Two weeks in a row I have chosen a Sunday roast to be disappointed twice. No fresh cut vegetables any more, the smallest teeny weenie boil in the bag or frozen veg, honestly carrots the size of a tiny caterpillar and soggy brussels the size of maltesers and that’s generous, plus one parsnip. I definitely won’t be wasting my money on a roast again. No wonder so many staff are leaving. It’s a shame when this cafe was always wonderful and had a fabulous atmosphere. Now all I can hear is upset customers on other tables saying they won’t be coming back.

Popped in for a quick pint as we were in the area with some time to kill. Upon entering we were told last orders, which though was a Sunday, was a whole hour before they shut. They did serve us a pint but we were glared at the entire time. They have Asahi on tap which is hard to come by if you're interested.

Well, I have used the garden centre for years and ti day thought we would pop in for coffee and lunch. The place was fairly busy but we got seated very quickly. The trouble was we never got served the two couples behind us got served but we were just left at the table for over 20 minutes without even being asked if we wanted a drink. Absolutely shoddy staff with no experience me thinks. Don't think I will bother in future if this is how it's gonna be. Sort it out will ya.

Lovely peaceful setting, a stone's throw away from the busy A30 but ,very quite and rural. Sufficient parking right outside and, off the road, Pleasant greeting from the bar staff and providing excellent real ale too . Friendly waitering staff, clean table , clean cutlery Food however, is sadly compromised and rather equivalent to that expected sad Sunday roasts at a Tesco/Asda supermarket cafe - just not "there" unfortunately . Even the roast potatoes were hard instead of just crisp but dry inside ? The vegatables lacked sophistication and cooking techique The price however is alongside those at other nearby eateries ie Red Lion Chobham which provides constant high-end cooking , same price bracket and without the service charge automatically added at 12.5% !!! for what? They never once returned to the table to check if everything was OK but did return to mop up the wine she splilled !!
