A nice quaint pub, serving excellent by really nice and friendly people...I'd definitely return.

Everything about the Sunday lunch was exceptional. The whole atmosphere, decor and table arrangements, the food delicious, the wine excellent. Above all the staff were absolutely fantastic and served perfectly. Smart, friendly, helpful. We were quite a lively party, but the whole pub/restaurant had a fabulous vibe. Thank you. Keep up the great work.

We went here for Sunday lunch earlier following a really lovely walk around Virginia Water Lake/Great Windsor Park, which is literally a 7 min drive away. The menu is relatively small but the food was absolutely delicious and so tasty. The pub itself is quite quirky and even though it was quite a miserable day weather wise we were sat outside in a little hut with a heater which was lovely. The service was also fantastic special shout out to Lucy and Saffron for helping make our Sunday afternoon so enjoyable, we will be back. Would recommend x

Dined as a group of 10, 9 adults and a child. Had to move the booking around a bit but staff were accommodating. Sunday roast was amazing!!! 6/9 had lamb which was out of this world, amazing sides and very generous servings - we took home lunch for the next day. Would definitely return. Parking is on street, but we didn't struggle.

We arrived at this place after passing it many times on our travels. We decided to stop for lunch after visiting the funeral directors. The staff at the bar when we arrived was very friendly and informative. The food we ordered was over seasoned and burnt, and the owner/manager was unfriendly and rude. I will never go back to that place again. Instead of wiping it off the bill 🙄 they had the odacity to offer us a £5 refund!!! Would you Adam and Eve it

We absolutely love The Beehive, so for my partners birthday we booked a large table outside for 25 people for their amazing Sunday roast and they really didn’t disappoint, the food was fantastic, service was brilliant and the atmosphere was so lovely! We were a mix of families, friends and kids and everyone had a great time. I can’t recommend this place enough!

It was a wonderful experience on a warm, pleasant day. We sat outside and enjoyed the excellent staff and exquisite food. The place is dog-friendly and even offers free treats. Highly recommended! Thank you for the tip on where to go for a hike afterwards

I booked the Beehive for a 30th birthday for 25 people and we had such a great time. We used the outside area and even though it rained all night it didn’t spoil the evening at all - lots of places to sit and chat, plenty of blankets and there were outdoor games and we had a buffet style food which was honestly incredible!! The mini burger sliders and fish and chip cones get a special mention. Everyone couldn’t stop praising how good the food was! Staff were really friendly and helpful and happy to accommodate allergies, balloons, and even kept a birthday cake in the fridge. It’s also worth mentioning that the cost of the food was very reasonable. Chloe was really responsive to my messages and I felt confident that the event was in good hands. If you are thinking about doing an event for a birthday or other celebration do not hesitate to book up the Beehive. Note they are more responsive to phone calls or in conversations in person than via email. As a side note, I’ve also been to the Beehive for dinner with my parents and the food and service was 10/10.

Prepared to be disappointed from Sunday lunch service. Ran out of food too early (including starters) which limited options on menu, ran out of juices in drinks as well! Food was tasty when it finally came after more than an hour, but overall a disappointing experience for such a well reviewed pub.

Another lovely Sunday lunch. Prawn cocktail was delicious and roast chicken was fabulous. The best potatoes and cauliflower cheese as usual. Look forward to visiting again soon.

August 2024: I felt compelled to re-review this gastropub and reduced it 3.5 stars but giving 4 here. Why? My hot seafood platter at £55 was very disappointing. 6 white baits and calamari that tasted of batter only. The half lobster was overcooked and rubbery. The best thing in that platter was the cod cheek. Tasted very good. I waited a while for this seafood weekend. And it was disappointing. If I were to go again it wouldn’t be for the platter. The sea bream was superb. And the white baits starter was worth it! Next time I’d get a 4 starts and that would still be cheaper than the platter and portion size would be so much more. The lobster here wasn’t worth it unfortunately. Service was 3.5-4 stars. It was a bit slow considering it wasn’t busy. It’s like we were an afterthought. A lady of age was so much better. I recommended this pub to so many of my connections and I was going to make this our regular. However after this second visit…. I don’t know. I’m now unconvinced and it’s a shame. I just feel disappointed that it’s a hit and miss. And I feel bad for recommending it. Maybe I’ll give it another go before deciding for sure. We had the platter, fish and chips, bream as main, white baits starter, 1 dessert, 2 teas was over £126 (including service). October 2023: I’m giving it all 5 stars eventhough it could be better because nothing is perfect right? Example the service could be better because the girl looked shell shocked when we arrived and said I’ve booked a table for 3. Even our son noticed it and kept asking us why was she surprised as he could see our names in the book. But after that a lady of age was super nice. Top notch customer service. Atmosphere should just be 4.5 because it’s a bit shabby chic inside and out. However, perhaps that’s the charm. It’s cosy. It’s ok. Food - this is where they excelled. I went there because of the reviews. It’s very very good. We had 2 starters, tea for 2, 3 mains and 1 dessert. With tip, just under £96. So not bad. I’d definitely recommend the beetroot salad with goats cheese. It has hazelnuts in it. The burger came medium rare so ask if you’d like it cooked more. We weren’t asked but we also forgot to ask. Everything - delicioso!!

Came here because of the great reviews but our food was awful. Chimichurri chicken was barely cooked and bland. No seasoning, not even salt. Kids had chicken strips, batter was very dark like they used old oil to cook it, also tasteless. Affogato served with cold espresso and ice cream had ice bits in it, it was inedible. The only good things were the service and the board games which were a nice touch. We all left with bad bellies and feeling a bit sick 🤢 Also, don't ask me to email you and then proceed to ignore everything I tell you. And when you have nothing better to say than your establishment is not for me.

We visited for the seafood weekend, this pub never disappoints. The food was exceptional, as was the wine list. It felt like being on holiday with the sun shining in their pub garden area with such delicious fish, fizz and rose. Can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic place, last came here over 30 years ago so looks a lot different now, but the decor, food, and service is all superb. We had lunch, started with black pudding bonbons which sounded yum and focaccia, both excellent, and we had fish, tart and chicken thighs for main - all excellent, we will be back

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! The food is really outstanding and very well priced. The service is second to none, never seen better. We ate outdoors which was very pleasant. The indoor space also looked very good. The bathroom was very clean. It was super easy to book and very dog friendly, with fresh water and open treats for canine patrons. Great location with its own car park. The staff helped us decide what to visit in the area. Couldn’t recommend the Beehive enough. We’ll be going back for sure.

Couldn’t recommend the Beehive enough! The food was outstanding, I particularly recommend the spinach, cheese and pine nut rolls which are indescribably good. The chicken and burgers were amazing as well. I don’t think I’ve ever received better service. Excellent location close to many attractions in the area. Nice setup indoors and outdoors. Super dog friendly. Easy parking and super easy to book. Safe to say we’ll be going back as soon as we can.

Had a lovely dressed crab here, which they’ve clearly bought in not done themselves so can’t comment on the “cookery” aspect. Atmosphere was a little on the weird side but the location is great.

Best pub roast I’ve ever had. The lamb was plentiful and cooked to absolute perfection. Super crispy roast potatoes. Lots of delicious veg. Really superb. Not the cheapest pub roast (£26 per head) but worth the extra few pounds. Service was very good too. This lot are on the ball.

This is our elderly aunt's local but she hasn't been since losing her husband, so we were thankful the chef agreed to fit us in at short notice particularly as the pub had a lunchtime party and then an evening function, so were very busy. A table was laid up in the bar and our drinks orders taken promptly with a jug of tap water was offered unprompted which is always appreciated. Mother and aunt were hoping for a salad, so both had the spring vegetable tart which was tasty although the pastry was rather hard to cut. Burger and truffle chips were yummy. Medium rare steak was on the rare and chewy side at the thick end, and the bacon butter was a bit rich and greasy,would've preferred the chimmichanga sauce on the chicken wings or just the usual garlic and herb. No room for dessert, but we enjoyed our visit, as the service and atmosphere were charming.

We really enjoyed our roast at The Beehive. The lamb was so tender and potatoes seasoned perfectly; nice and crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. The veg could have done with a bit more love, but was generally fine. I like that cauliflower cheese was included! The music was a little loud for my taste, but there was a Birthday celebration also happening, so can understand that. I would recommend to anyone wanting a proper roast cooked to a high standard, and proper portions. Price paid was £55 for two; we didn't have room for dessert!

One of the best Sunday Roasts I've had in the recent times. The place is quite cosy and service was really nice. It is a small restaurant, so definitely call to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Beehive hosted our annual company get together and were fantastic. We hired the curling lanes for the afternoon and had the whole outside to ourselves to setup other game stations. The decorations and the table layout were perfect, thank you Chloe for making it look amazing. The team were so accommodating before the event and on the day. The food was incredible, we had the cheese fondue grazing board and the apple crumble sharing board. would highly recommend The Beehive for corporate events!

Food very average my burger red and tasteless 6 of us went wont go back.expensive for basic food.

Fabulous atmosphere, drinks, service. But food was quite disappointing, sadly. Chicken was greasy and pink, lacking flavour. Dessert was chocolate, but too gelatinous. Choc crumb was nice, though.

The staff were so very friendly and they were so happy to have our dog Gladys visit too. They brought her water and one of the locals brought her biscuits too. Have tried to come before but was always fully booked, food was superb as where the staff and the service. Although we didn't know they allow dogs so for us great food and we can bring the dog it's excellent.

This was my first time at The Beehive. We were a party of four adults for a late Saturday lunch. We loved the ambience and all commented that it felt intimate and cosy, as if we were having lunch in someone's home. That was one of my favourite things about the venue. We all had three courses and drinks (I was driving so was on the 0% alcohol beer). Everyone was really happy with the food, which ranged from scallops, beetroot-cured salmon, burrata and prawn cocktail starters, through mains of flat iron steak, wild mushroom gnocchi and the excellent rotisserie chicken to chocolate mousse and sticky toffee pudding desserts. The chips that came with three of the four mains were some of the best I've ever had. Service was really friendly and attentive and we had a treat and water provided for our dog. I love finding gems like this and The Beehive is now on my shortlist for a return.

We met for a birthday celebration meal, organising a get together for 15 people this close to Christmas is always challenging. Went for a firm Christmas Dinner, so was expecting the usual bland mass produced food, but it was delicious, perfectly cooked and served by friendly, patient staff. Excellent.

Fabulous pub with great food at reasonable prices

We had a fantastic afternoon once again at The Beehive for a pre Christmas get together & also to celebrate my wife's up & coming birthday. We held the function in the tented area outside with a saxophone artist, the food was excellent & the staff provided excellent service, I would certainly recommend The Beehive for social events. The Curling was also an added bonus.

Went for lunch with a friend. Really good drink selection. Food was brillant had the beef bon bons and the beef and oxtail burger. Both were amazing . Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I turned up this afternoon on spec, with my eldest daughter and our five grandchildren, including our Mini Dachshund Lulu! The staff put tables together to accommodate us all, the atmosphere was cosy and all the meals (mains x 8) came out together, quickly and were delicious! The children were offered some games to play at the table and we felt very welcome and comfortable. Credit where credit is due... this place is lovely, on all fronts.

Pre ordered the lamb for two. What a treat. Probably the best roast dinner I’ve ever eaten. The lamb is slow cooked over many hours (10 I believe) and just falls off the bone. The veg was also perfect;y cooked. Will definitely be returning.

An extremely tasty Sunday lunch at the Beehive in Egham. Scotch egg starters were thoroughly enjoyed by all, perfectly cooked and wolfed down by everyone at the table. Main course was roast beef dinner for everyone. The beef was succulent, juicy and a real treat. Roast potatoes were cooked to perfection and exactly to my taste by being extra crispy with a light fluffy inner. The only disappointment was that there was no room on the plate for an additional yorkshire pudding... seriously these babies barely lasted a minute on my plate.. again cooked to absolute perfection.. simply not enough of it for my greedy disposition 😉 Cauliflower cheese was lovely with al dente florets, as were the runner beens. I'm not keen on parsnips or carrots but my partner soon hoovered those up. The gravy was plentiful, tasty and a great accompanyment to a truly brilliant Sunday Roast. Dessert was a mixture a brioche doughnuts and rum n' raisin ice cream. Completely full now and definitely in need of a good long walk. Well done everyone.

Dropped into the Beehive for a spot of lunch. We both decided on the fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. We received a perfectly fried fish in crispy batter just perfect.

The best Sunday roast in the area great service and a very rare experience, it was just like having a home cooked Sunday roast, very personal.

It took them 20 minutes to take our order…I red so many reviews about Sunday roast in here that I went to try and it was disappointing. Nothing was fresh!

Must have been an off night as friend said it was much nicer last time. Waited hour and a half for our meal. There was a mobile kitchen in the car park so possibly working under difficult circumstances. Crab on toast starter was nice but pricey. Half lobster main was overcooked and a little dry. Was quite small and not a lot else with it. Dry new potatoes which I didn't eat and a bit of garnish. Worked out expensive for not a great meal. Won't bother again

We love this pub so much, I can't believe I have never left a review for it 🤦🏼‍♂️ Michelle, Chloe and the rest of the team could not make you feel more welcome if they tried! The food is incredible and the service is second to none! We used the amazing garden to stage my daughter's 21st last year and another Daughter's 16th tonight.. The team couldn't have done more to make both events perfect for us, literally minimal contact and they just got everything right from set up to the incredible food they served up!! Blown away again guys, thank you so much!! Can't wait for the next one.

Booked a table for a friends birthday and wasnt happy. Food took 40 mins to arrive and tasted bland to the point that most meals were not eaten. Not going back again and don't recommend.

Pretty much the only customers on a Friday lunchtime but very impressed by everything. Good atmosphere all great. Only slight thing was music in garden was far too loud.

Short visit prior to a business meeting in Surrey. We opted for a selection of the starters. Prawns, Korean chicken, hummus and croquettes. Absolutely amazing. The pub is spotless and the staff are friendly & professional. Really wish we could have stayed longer. Cracking pub....

After a stroll around Virginia Water, we went to the Beehive for lunch with high expectations having read about it on TripAdvisor. My expectations were exceeded, all the food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Lovely looking pub with great service. Impressed!
