Family friendly, reasonably priced drinks, good wine, amazing pizza!! Real garlic on the garllic bread pizza too! This was my first visit, was gutted to miss the Karaoke which was the night before but I'll be back for the next!

Loved this place while staying in Egham!

The outside street food serves ‘vegan’ pizza, which is absolutely not vegan and serves them with dairy cheddar cheese. I ate it and was violently ill, my partner went to ask them about it and they kept insisting that it was vegan, until my partner asked for a package, which of course was not vegan cheese. Please report it as it is an insane violation of food standarts and could kill a person

Top tier pub. Two pints (inch's and pravha) equalled exactly £10 so pricing not horrendous and the food was delicious. We had a pizza and a panini and both tasted fantastic. The real highlight was the beer garden. We went during the FA cup final and the atmosphere was amazing. Loads of people drinking and enjoying the sun with plenty of light football banter and a screen outside to watch the game. Don't often go out this far but will be back when I do!

Cheapest beer nearby! It's a bit cramped but generally all around pleasant people. Bonus points for a pool table. Big thumbs up 👍🏻

The Coke and the beer taste like they are diluted with water or something. Had the Fosters, Moretti, and Peroni on tap and all tasted wrong, and we just switched to whiskey, which was safest bey. The new benches are trash. You are sitting on flimsy benches and tables with random people in your business. It was better before. You need to get rid of those. Other than that, it is the best pub in Englefield, and the garden is a vibe.

Best pub in both Egham and Engelfield Green. No food served here but you can bring in what you like and it's right next to a pizza place. A few students but not to bad but the atmosphere in the pub is the best thing about it. Perfect place to sit and have a chat with your friends

We came to the pub as group… one of the group lads went for a smoke and then unfortunately we was all demanded to leave.

Owners are rude and do talk bad to you if your from the states meaning that you was born in another country.

Really nice atmosphere, and lovely garden/outdoor seating area

I have just walked past this pub with my friend a Muslim woman who is new to this community. When passing a large group of old white men knocked on the window and jeered at her, to my shock and horror. I alerted the manager to the situation who then spoke to them very lightly about it, one of the men then proceeded to make a misogynistic comment towards me. I am disgusted that this behaviour is allowed in the premises!

I was here with some friends - a small group of us. Reading the review below, it turns out we had a similar experience. We moved a table and got an ear full from the bar staff for it too - by both a man and woman. The table wasn’t in any body’s way and made no difference to anybody that we moved it, so was hard to see why it was made into such an issue. We were made to feel unwelcome by the bar staff and the locals, which is a shame because we were just minding our own business having a quiet drink after work. We thought it was a nice chilled proper pub with decent prices, but because of the rude bar staff who clearly aren’t interested in maintaining recurring customers, it was a bit of a let down. Such a shame because it has great potential. But won’t be taking my money back there again.

We went there for a friend’s leaving due. We were about 10 and we moved two tables to be closer. The bar supervisor told us off and wouldn’t serve us drinks until we moved the tables back. She refused to serve me only because I told her she had ruined our night by making such a big fuss about the tables. I can understand not serving people if they’re drunk but not for moving a table and telling you you are being unreasonable. I worked in a pub for years, as an assistant manager, and I would have never told a customer off for moving a table. Especially a group who has spent a few hundred pounds on drinks and food. Bigger groups tend to move the tables to be together and I’ve never seen that as an issue. At the end of the day if you don’t want your tables to be moved you should either stick them to the ground or put a notice up saying it is forbidden. So many pubs are closing down and we want to pick a local, independent pub for a night out. However, if you go out to have fun and they treat you like you’ve committed a criminal offence for moving a table you’ll choose somewhere else. Clearly customer service is not something they train their staff on and if the bar supervisor is so rude what can one expect from the rest of the staff? Needless to say, I will not return.

Went to our local pub 28/1 /22 around 5.30/6 thinking it would be friendly and welcoming only to find rude staff. We were made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable so left after just one drink. As we left staff and locals at the bar were joking And laughing about the fact that they made us feel so uncomfortable we left. I Imagine it was because we were sitting in the seats of people that might normally use these seats by the fire ? No idea what there issue was but it’s a real shame as the staff use to always been So friendly. Not sure if there has been a change of staff? Will go back to the beehive for our Friday night drinks.

Amazing pub, great prices and atmosphere and even better management. Tom and Lisa are lovely and we had exceptional from the barman Will last night who kicked out unruly non-masking wearing degenerates who were atoginsing other customers. It's nice to see a pub take Covid measures seriously and take such good care of their customers.

The Manger was extremely and confrontational when are party asked a simple request. His skills leave a lot to be desired and obviously has no interest in the needs of business asking a large group to leave for asking for the rugby to be shown over the football. The ration of rugby to football was 7 to 1. We as a club shall no longer use the establishment after many years. His attitude was was below average

The good news- the Gun has made tremendous efforts to meet Covid requirements and keep everyone safe. The bad news- it’s really difficult to order a beer. The pub is insisting you use a new App system, which means typing your life history just to order a beer. One slight mistake, and your order doesn’t go thru. Several friends haven’t been able to get the app to work. There can be several staff at the bar, but they won’t take a simple order. As things stand at the moment- avoid the place. Much better service at the Happy Man.

An amazing local pub in Egham, extremely affordable drinks (£3.80 doubles!), and very friendly bar staff. Dog friendly (which is always a plus), and tons of outdoor and indoor seating make this one of my favourite pubs in Egham by far! Great covid safety measures in place that make me feel safe without detracting from the pub experience, would recommend this pub to both students and locals alike!!

We didn't know this pub existed until we decided to take a walk around Englefield Green. Their set-up is brilliant and anyone would feel safe going in for a drink. The staff were lovely on the both occasions that we visited. They don't offer food but have a lovely beer garden to relax in. I would highly recommend visiting on a hot, sunny day

Having been coming to this pub for the last 6 years, the pub has undergone lots of positive changes in the past year or so including new management (friendly couple) who have completely refurbished the beer garden and offer a wide selection of drinks. My husband , our two dogs and I have personally enjoyed how safe the pub feels during the pandemic with a clear one way system, hand sanitizing stations and lots of space to socially distance and will be sure to return. I look forward to when we can enjoy a quiz or karaoke again! the photos on here are so old and misleading - take a look at the FB page to get a real sense of what this place is like

This is by far my favorite pub around Englefield Green. It is always busy and the staff are always very friendly and warm. There is also a pool table and a garden for the summer (or for people who smoke) The only downside is that you can't always find a place to sit!

Great selection of beers and has a pool table to play pool on, well equipped place has toilets and chairs for sitting on paired nicely with a table.

I visited this pub 2 years ago during the 6 Nations Rugby and there was no atmosphere. Last Friday I called in with friends before going for dinner somewhere and it was so much better. Will definitely call in again!

I went to the Armstrong Pub last Sunday, to watch Arsenal play Norwich, as they have Sky Sport TV. They serve IPA bitter which is one of my favourite beers so this was a bonus I'm not actually a regular pub goer, but although the service was efficient & friendly enough, I would definitely not choose this pub to be my local, as it lacks the warm welcoming atmosphere that's needed to make a great village pub, which is probably why it only gets the same men, sitting in their same seats all the time, a bit sad really. .

Best pub in the green by a Carling mile. Unfortunately the golden nector was not available but the £3 fosters went down a treat. Hit up toast after a heavy sesh. Will be visiting every Monday from now on.

I am nor one that goes to the pub very often, but like to have a couple of pints at the Armstrong Gun pub where I can watch Arsenal when they are playing, as they have Sky Sport TV there. It's also nice to catch up with the locals & have a chat as I'm not a regular drinker, so it makes a change hearing all the news about whats going on in the village.The pub seems to attract mostly male customers & on the rare occasion that I go there it's like all the same faces are sitting in the same seats around the bar, probably like any village pub I guess, but they do seem yo have a good selection of beers to keep their customers happy..

A lively, friendly pub with a lovely big garden and road side seating. It also has a pool table as well as activities throughout the week including open mic nights, quiz night and monthly karaoke. Special events also pop up and are one to look out for. Regular pop up food in the garden as of this summer brings an all round beer garden experience in the sun. A personal favourite place of mine.

Weird pub. Locals, students, dogs, low ceilings, just been refurbished. Fond memories.

There isn't many village pubs left now, so here we have a village pub, that is friendly and a real joy for an evening night out, the locals are very friendly, perfect garden in the summer, with bouncy castle for the kids, I just love it

This is a typical village pub where the locals can meet up, have a good pint & food if required served by friendly efficient bar staff. The pub also has Sky sports, plus a car park.
