Had afternoon tea here with my mum as part of a mother's day present. The booking form could do with a place to advise of a dietary request because we don't like cucumber, however, the staff were very accommodating once they knew abd were able to switch the ones with cucumber to cheese and tomato. We were seated promptly with drinks request taken. The food was lovely especially the orange and brown battenburg style cake. It was a lovely treat, we were not rushed at all. Will happily return.

Hadn't been able to visit this for a little while and now changed to table service. Was seated in a fairly good space. Ordered and coffee and extras brought out no cutlery brought for cakes. Couldn't attract any staff without getting up and walking into the till area. Took an age to try and order more drinks. The staff didn't want to visit the conservatory bit. No one asked if we needed anything. second round of drinks came. We would have stayed for lunch but staff were difficult to attract attention so left off. Won't rush back there.

Myself and my partner, both in our 30’s have visited this restaurant/cafe a couple of times in the past as local to us. This week we had some downtime from work and decided to try the afternoon tea. Well, it did not disappoint. We booked via the website, had a choice of where to sit, staff were very accommodating to dietary needs of no fish. The afternoon tea itself is one of the best, if not the best I’ve had, even better than some high end places. Plentiful selection of fresh, well filled sandwiches, warm scones and delicious petit fours. We had so much that we had to take some home! Refills of tea and coffee as and when we needed it. Plenty of staff, all of them were polite, friendly and happy to help. Cannot wait to come back and enjoy the offerings here! Thanks for having us .

We are from a local drama group who have been coming roughly once a month for breakfast (ever since the first easing of lockdown restrictions) before heading off to build and paint scenery for our productions, and we have never been disappointed. The food is brilliant, catering equally well for our carnivores, vegetarians and vegans, the service is always friendly and efficient, and the prices extremely reasonable. Add to that the chance to pick up gifts for friends and family, as well as Christmas decorations in December - what more could we ask for? Thanks to all the staff for making our Saturday mornings so enjoyable. From the Runnymede Drama Group Set Builders.

I am rating this as a CAFE - NOT as a Restaurant since calling it a Restaurant is simply delusions of grandeur! Waiting to be seated and full table service is new since I last went here and it is an improvement not to queue up at the counter to order. I had Ham, Egg & Chips which was really good, the ham was particularly excellent - Price was OK at £9.99. Vanilla Milk-shake was very disappointing and way over-priced at £4.50: Very small glass, about one third of which was ice or froth. Prices seemed to include service although there was a pot at the till for cash tips. Didn't enjoy the hard chairs as i like some padding...

Today my daughter and I had lunch at Bourne Valley Restaurant, we both ordered panini’s. I ordered with caramelised onion, mushroom and cheddar, these were the words on the menu. When our lunch arrived it was clear that the cheese was not cheddar and the caramelised onions were actually lashings of cold onion relish. When I asked the server if it was cheddar in the panini I was told no it was vegan and not cheddar at all. It was inedible so I asked for it to be removed from the bill which the server agreed, at this stage there was no apology. When I have them gone to pay the bill, no apology was made but a young member of staff repeatedly told me it clearly says VE on the menu which I am supposed to know means vegan, despite the word ‘cheddar’ which is isn’t vegan. This young lady was determined to have the last word and make out I was in the wrong and even as we were leaving she was still calling out sarcastic remarks. I will never eat here again. Rude staff (in the restaurant) and inedible of food.

The last time I provided a Review it was 5 star because the breakfast was terrific. I'm now giving a review score of zero, on behalf of my wife and her friend who met mid-morning and they each had a hot drink with a scone. The drinks were okay but the scones were terrible and, as such, were not eaten! My wife believes they weren't fresh because they appeared stale and tasteless. Sad that this happened and also sad that my wife and her friend did not get an apology, or even a refund! It's unlikely they will return.

Food always excellent at Bourne Valley, but today i had an egg mayonnaise sandwich which involved searching for the egg!! The egg was chopped so finely and smothered in mayonnaise that it oozed out of the sides of the sandwich. My husband did enjoy his panini . A little more egg and less mayonnaise next time please.

My husband and I decided to have breakfast this morning at the Bourne Valley restaurant/cafe in Addlestone Surrey. Although we hadnt booked the staff member who served us said no problem so long as we made the table free in an hour and showed us to a table outside. The menu was very limited just Full english breakfast not including toast £8.99 Full veggie breakfast not including toast £7.99 Bacon/sausage/Egg roll £5.99 Toast was extra Small americano - £2.75 Extremely pricey in my view but we were there now so just went with it. When the staff assistant came over to take our order my husband asked for the full English but he doesnt eat eggs and asked whether we could swap it for a slice of extra bacon or sausage. The assistant immediately refused and said he couldnt do that unless he charged us extra for it as the price of bacon is not the same as the price of an egg!!! I was shocked to say the least that after paying for such an expensive breakfast with no toast, not even a slice, that they could even say this. Our response was "really?" So we settled for an extra hash brown. I then went for the veggie option but I didnt want the veggie sausage so asked for an extra hash brown too. That was accepted. The food was nice when it arrived but the coffees were served well before so by the time the food came my husband had drank his and mine was cold. We didnt make a big thing of it at the time but we both decided this will be the last time we come here. £22.48 for a breakfast does certainly not entice us back. Especially with the way we were treated. You would think being closed for so long with the pandemic you would yearn for customers to return make an issue of swapping an item for a piece of bacon. Unfortunately you have lost two customers now and there will be many more if they continue saying this to people. We frequent many cafes and this has never happened in the past. Most cafes have a vast breakfast menu and accommodate their customers as best as they can . The cost of a bit of bacon or sausage is minimal to the cost of losing a customer. The young girl assistant who served the food was lovely though. Very polite and courteous.

It was my wife's birthday last week and I would normally take her out to eat but with the coronavirus restrictions what was not possible. I saw that The Bourne Valley Restaurant were doing a Take Away Afternoon Tea. I ordered this a week in advance and went and collected it and was very surprised with contents all served on a cardboard cake tray. There were sandwiched, scones, jam, clotted cream, cakes and two tea bags to make your own cup of tea. There was plenty to eat and everything was very fresh. If the coronavirus restriction continue into December we will certainly have another 'take away'

As a loyalty card customer I received an email regarding the extended breakfast eat out scheme . So we booked a table for this morning. The photocopied single use menu did not highlight any offer so we foolishly assumed it was 50% off until we went to the till to pay. More than £37 for 2 breakfasts, 2 hot drinks and 4 slices of toast. When I questioned the discount they said it only applied to 3 items on the menu. Nowhere on the menu does it state that. Felt very deceived. We were looking for 4 standard Bay Trees And after looking around their over priced plant and tree section, we went off to the Blue Diamond Garden Centre In Addlestone and bought them there. Sadly Bourne Valley have lost us as a customer. A full breakfast at The Ivy in Cobham is £13.99 inc toast. At Bourne Valley it’s £12.99 plus £2.79 for 2 pieces of toast. No brainer if you want fabulous food, courteous and helpful service go to The Ivy.

Came to Bourne valley restaurant as my other half was getting her hair cut next door at hair mechanix and I fancied some breakfast.Never been here before so didn't know how it worked , I approached the till and a nice guy was there and explained to me how it all worked so I ordered a coffee and eggs royale. Service was quick and the eggs royale was amazing (see picture ) , so much so that I went to order it again but it had gone 11:30 so I missed it ! Damn! Thanks Bourne valley , will be back again soon hopefully!

Paid another visit today to this brilliant garden centre and of course could not miss a treat in the Coffee Shop Restaurant. The staff are friendly efficient and helpful and the meals and cakes are superb all at a reasonable cost. The whole restaurant is clean and tidy with a lovely outside terrace for the nice weather days and for cooler days there is a superb conservatory plus lots of inside seating. The menu is wide offering food to satisfy everyone. We look forward to returning again now the spring is coming. See for yourself you will not be disappointed

Went here by chance after getting my car cleaned. Ordered a panini and tea. There was a wide variety of meals, cakes and drinks. The food was ok- average. It could have a bit of a cleaner feel and the restaurant as a whole smelt like a school dinner hall. It was very popular and I would imagine if I was 70+ I would love it.

I have only been once for my mums birthday lunch treat. She had chosen the restaurant as she had been before and loves the finger sandwiches! Cake sizes are huge! We struggled to find a space as it was busy. So ended up outside but it was a sunny day so was okay. Just the prices are a tad expensive for bottled drinks.

Bourne Valley is a regular lunch haunt with friends. Sometimes it is overly busy, a victim of its popularity, but this does not affect service or quality of the food. The menu is standard fare and plenty of choice. Family-friendly and recommended.

Met here for a 'reunion' and had coffee and lunch. Although we had to order at the counter, the food arrived quickly and was good. We had a large table reserved and as it was in the conservatory it had a good view over the garden centre.

Excellent food, at a good price. A really pleasant surprise. Puts alot of the local established restaurants to shame for food quality/Flavour and price. U must try.

We often visit at a lunchtime for a meal and although its semi self-service, the staff are always pleasant and the food of a reasonably high standard. Its a great alternative to a pub or coffee shop visit

This busy cafe is a lovely spot to take afternoon tea on a fine day. You can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air on their terrace, whilst sipping your Earl Grey and enjoying a fine cake.

After reading the very inviting comprehensive website I called to make a breakfast reservation in The Lounge at 9.30am. I was told by a very supercilious telephone operator that this is not possible ...it is 1st come 1st serve before 12.30pm which is not listed on the very comprehensive website.I then asked for other options and was told very superciliously that there were none.I expressed my disappointment in this not being listed on said website and she didn't give a darn. Well shes getting paid regardless.
