The Sunday lunch we had was so delicious. A proper home cooked fare. I’m very fussy about my roast potatoes and they were just the best! Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside and just the right size. Such incredible value for money! Can’t recommend it highly enough

My Partner and I had an absolutely fantastic experience here yesterday for Sunday lunch. As an ex pub owner I am very critical but nothing to criticise here. Fabulous roast lamb with a large selection of perfectly cooked vegies. A lovely Malbec complemented the food perfectly. All finished off with a scrummy sticky toffee pudding. A great welcome and lovely service created a super ambiance. Sadly we don't live nearby but if we're ever in the area again we will definitely be back. A small venue so worth booking.

Called in after looking online on a Sunny Sunday morning. Very attractive pub with lovely hanging baskets. As it was Sunday, there was only a Sunday menu, with various Roast meats. We both choose the Roast Beef and were very pleased with our choices. The veg was excellent and the meat was cooked to perfection. We asked for an extra gravy jug and Horse raddish sauce. All came with a smile on their faces, from the attentive waitresses.

We have been here a few times with our babies and have always felt welcome with the pushchair. The food is lovely and a fair price compared to other pubs in the area (the food is much nicer than the other Rose pub close by) Their lunch menu the steak Ciabatta is so tasty!! If you are there for lunch it is worth a try, so is their Friday fish and chip offer 😊 their kids meals are a very large portion! If you are looking for a dog friendly family pub this is it! It is missing a baby change in the men’s toilet and also a gate on the back garden to stop children and dogs escaping!

We was very disappointed with roast.. 3 pieces of pork.. roast potatoes not crispy.. cauliflower cheese like mush.. cold plates.. overpriced for what you got.. no Yorkshire only comes with the beef.I asked for mushroom wellington gravy separate.. came and was covered in gravy.. waited for it to be changed.. asked the waitress to wait while I tried the veg as my husband’s was cold.. cold plate againI hate cold food.. said I didn’t want it.. waitress didn’t say anything just took the plate.. didn’t even ask if I wanted anything else..no one came near us and apologise.. we had to go in and ask for bill.. is all the waitress said was have a good day as we left.. definitely no customer service.. was very disappointed especially as recommended..

Beautiful pub. You'll receive the warmest of welcomes. We haven't eaten here yet but that will change very very soon! It's a relaxed atmosphere both inside and out. We attended for Sunday roast, we saw this was highly rated and although the roast was ok and service was good at a reasonable price I expected a little more for the high Google rating

Loved everything about this but my risotto was u der seasoned and needed more parmesan. Great welcome, very friendly to dogs, set in a lovely location. We had calamari to start, then a burger and risooto for mains and the afogatto and sticky toffee pudding, plus a glass of wine. Dessets were great, pudding was sweet and sticky, the vanilla ice cream in the afogatto was excellent (as was the strawberry on the side). Risotto was OK, tasted the truffle and mushrooms but missing seasoning. Burger was tasty and so were the fried they came with. The calamari was good. I would also say the service was outstanding and I don't know how long it's been there but great to see a little place doing a limited menu and doing it well.

Lovely spot in the edge of the woodland - nice summery drinks and delicious burgers in the sun (mushroom and goats cheese for me and buttermilk Chicken for Stuart) Staff very friendly and attentive

Couldn’t fault the food and all the staff were very friendly excellent will definitely go back and try some of there other dishes.we were told they have specials on through the week aswell. The drinks are reasonably priced with a good range of wines beers and spirits.

Found this pub a few weeks ago, only came for drinks but had espresso martini's and they were absolutely delicious, normally I'm always really let down with cocktails in pub but these were great! Then came for roast on Sunday and honestly it was the nicest roast dinner we've both had in a while, the lamb was perfect and the Yorkshire puddings are out of this world accompanied by really friendly service, nothing is too much trouble and a lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be coming a lot more regularly. I visited there with my daughter and her friend and we had one of the best pub lunches I've ever had. I had the steak and ale pie which was absolutely filled to the brim with beautiful steak and had the best mash ever on the side. The service was superb. I'm already looking forward to our next visit

Lovely relaxed lunch, food was excellent (the home made pies were glorious) and the service was friendly and attentive. Is dog friendly but can be a bit tight round the bar so perhaps book ahead if popping in after a walk. We were told that they will be screening films in the pub garden over the summer - something to come back for!

We all had a really lovely lunchtime get-together at this little Gem on Callow Hill, near Royal Holloway. We were welcomed by the owners , and chose a nice table near the fire place. The food was delicious, and so was the Procecco, missed the Christmas menu by a day...May have to go back. A traditional Cosy pub, which we all would recommend.

A fabulous stroke of luck we landed here last night for dinner with friends as we plumped for a venue 'halfway'. The food was amazing; we had the delicious tomato soup & whitebait to start followed by the fabulous pork belly, chicken in a Pretzel bun & the seafood paella. All spot on, very tasty & lovely presentation. Finished off with the chocolate fondant oozing chocolate sauce & drizzled dolce latte - absolutely delicious!! (No photos as we all tucked straight in!) It is a small select menu but less is more for sure. We had a very warm welcome from Niki & the staff. Dogs are also welcome. Great that this little gem is up & running again & look forward to a Sunday roast one day soon!!

Under new management, a few opening hiccups, but finally the Rose and Olive is up and running and back to its best. As close neighbours for the past 30 years, this is important for us and we visited for our first tonight to sample the evening menu. We were not disappointed. Pies are back on the menu as was a delicious sirloin steak, followed by scrumptious Eton Mess. Fish lovers would also be very happy with the choice offered. The service was excellent and with a friendly smile and as long standing customers who have been disappointed in recent years, it was such a relief to know that once again, we have a local venue which we can frequent every time we wish to eat out. Highly recommended.

First time back for food after the pub was shut for over 6 months after a fire. Now under new management, a lovely welcoming new team were very friendly and happy to have our dog too. They are serving the same Windsor & Eton brewery ales and have a wonderful new menu. Had the king prawn and moonfish curry which was lovely, and cheese and biscuits after. So happy to see them open again.

Dinner at the Rose & Olive Branch. The pub is well run under Niki, serving staff were young & enthusiastic. The menu is still fairly small, with a balanced set of options and as everything is freshly prepared, dietary requirements can be met if outside of the published list. The fish options are driven by availability and may change regularly. The quality & presentation of the food was excellent and a big step up from all other pubs in the area. Prices whilst on the high side for a pub are fair, given the quality. John & Niki are open to feedback to develop the food offering further. Prices do not include service. We had a most enjoyable evening, with good food, service & ambience, the Rose & Olive Branch is a most welcome new venue to the area.

Visited our local pub the day after they opened for Sunday lunch. The lunch was fabulous. I had the roast beef and my husband enjoyed the cod with risotto. Great attentive staff. So glad the pub has reopened again. We will definitely return.

stumbled on this place through TripAdvisor as it was equidistant from a group of friends meeting up and how glad am I that I did. on arrival I was greeting by a very friendly member of staff who showed me all the tables that were available. the place itself it quite intimate but very nicely decorated, having been extensively refurbished by the current owners. the service all night was first class and I felt treated like a regular, despite it being my first visit. the food and drinks were superb and very filling, I didnt even have room for a pud, which was a shame as they sounded very good!! I would highly recommend this pub, but not too much as I'd like to book again and dont want it to be full!! Needless to say, we intend to come back in the neat future, especially to try the puds next time!

We walked from Egham, a 30 minute walk followed by a pint for us and ice cream for the kids. Brilliant 2 hours with the family thanks to Pedro and the team. Thoroughly recommend. We've eaten here too. During covid the garden is perfect; fresh air, feels safe, lovely food. Brilliant.

Visited on late Sunday LunchEverything was amazing. Pedro and his team makes us feel special. Menu was exactly described. Two of us had Fish and Chips and special combo of soup and steak sandwich. Our daughter enjoyed a burger like never before (great credit to all staff - probably now I will have to take her there very often). Desserts was tasty as well, and coffee afterwards was like cherry on top of the cake.Thank you for looking after us and we will be back soon.I promise

What a fantastic pub! The best roast dinner I have ever had - delicious and amazing roast potatoes! I really enjoyed the delicious pale ale that this independent brewery have made, and the service was great too. Am planning to go back already and would highly recommend it! The rose and olive is a wonderful place with fresh food and a great variety of options that are healthy and fresh I particularly like the vegan burger and the rosemary chips are something amazing , would definitely love to return again !!!!

My partner and I were looking for a cosy country pub and on our travels we came across the rose and olive branch, what a delight this lovely friendly pub offered 1st class selection of beer I wasn't sure which one I would like so the barman let me try a sample of each to which I chose the creamy white riot which went down very well,my partner had the republica which he thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very attentive to our requests and gave great customer service. The garden was very pleasant will be back for food. Cant wait.

The rose and olive is a great addition to Virginia water and since it was under new ownership the pub has been thriving , the food is amazing and there are options for everyone and I mean everyone , the staff and wonderful and accommodating to our needs and have dealt with the new pub rules well and making sure everyone is safe during this time of covid -19 . Great space and good place for all the family to come together . Can’t wait to see what the pub does in the future !! :)
