Well, I have used the garden centre for years and ti day thought we would pop in for coffee and lunch. The place was fairly busy but we got seated very quickly. The trouble was we never got served the two couples behind us got served but we were just left at the table for over 20 minutes without even being asked if we wanted a drink. Absolutely shoddy staff with no experience me thinks. Don't think I will bother in future if this is how it's gonna be. Sort it out will ya.

We took friends for breakfast and cannot find fault at all. We visit at least three times a week just to relax with a coffee and scone. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Can't wait until our next visit.

Such an improvement from a few years ago. The Greenhouse cafe now has friendly and charming staff. 'Game for a Laugh'. Not sure how long it has been like this, had stopped eating here after some disappointing visits. Now it is welcoming and hospitable. Food is very good. Paninis are delicious, coffee and the real orange juice superb. Have eaten here a few times and will do so again

Had afternoon tea here with my mum as part of a mother's day present. The booking form could do with a place to advise of a dietary request because we don't like cucumber, however, the staff were very accommodating once they knew abd were able to switch the ones with cucumber to cheese and tomato. We were seated promptly with drinks request taken. The food was lovely especially the orange and brown battenburg style cake. It was a lovely treat, we were not rushed at all. Will happily return.

Order at the counter from limited menu. Lunchtime dishes are simple, wholesome and reasonably sized. Served quite quickly and piping hot. The conservatory area is just too noisy for civilised conversation. Disabled friendly as the garden centre which runs the restaurant has wheelchairs freely available.

Update: Managed to attend the Karaoke tonight! 25.04.25 - The kids and I all got up and sang songs, was such a good night, the DJ was really accomodating, we will be back. Family friendly, reasonably priced drinks, good wine, amazing pizza!! Real garlic on the garllic bread pizza too! This was my first visit, was gutted to miss the Karaoke which was the night before but I'll be back for the next!

Our waitress Nia was very polite and a joy to have serving our table. She had amazing energy and made sure to do something special for my two friends who’s birthdays we were celebrating.

Whilst the food was nice, once it arrived that is, the service was very poor, due to the lack of staff over all it took over 3 hours to complete our meal and we sat for about 10 minutes with our main courses on the table on serving trays and had to ask for plates and cutlery, we ended up getting the cutlery off an another table. The food ended up being cold, they did take the steak if the bill along with the service charge. The young lady that served us was very pleasant but was clearly new at the job and was t really supported properly by her colleagues. Several of our first choices were unavailable too, it was steak night and they had run out at lunchtime of what appeared to be the more popular choices. We are all used to fine dining and don't mind paying for it, but £50 for a bottle of wine that normally retails for £16 seemed to me to be somewhat if an excessive margin. I know pubs need to make a profit but they need to factor in value for money into the equation to encourage customers to come back. There are several pubs in the area offering a similar if not better experience for half the price When we expressed our concerns and the managers reply was "dont come back then" and I can ensure him that we won't. Several of our friends had cautionary tales about this venue, and we should have paid more attention. The service issues here seem to be a common theme, and dont expect to get parked here either the car park is very small.

Top service from the team on a busy Friday night! Big shout out to Betsy who, despite being on her own, managed to serve an entire restaurant efficiently and without fuss and to an incredibly high standard.
