The best restaurants serving British food in Havant South East

Had an amazing meal. Such good value for money and the staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend it to others!

I have been a regular customers for years. Can’t believe I have paid £8 for a large piece of hard greasy batter that contained the smallest piece of tail end fish.Will go elsewhere in future.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Brookfield hotel. We had a function on the Saturday night which was a 7 course meal and I have to say I was blown away with the service and the reassurance of my gluten free options, I could literally have exactly the same dishes as everyone else with just a couple of tweaks I couldn’t believe it! A lovely gentleman served me who I think was a manager (I am so sorry I cannot remember his name) which made me feel so looked after as it can be daunting eating out somewhere new! All staff were helpful and made the evening run smoothly it was very professional! The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed, the only thing I would say is more plug sockets but that’s not the end of the world! Also it was a bit expensive for room service as a sausage and bacon sandwich ended up being £13.45 including tray service but again with inflation maybe that’s why it was that much! Apart from that there was plenty of parking at a small charge and the hotel was easy to get around. Thank you for looking after us, it was the best meal I’ve had as a coeliac plus the most I’ve ever been able to eat!

This nice, friendly well run café, that we visit when we can, proved today that the staff are willing to go that extra mile when something's not quite right by doing everything they could to resolve the situation, this involved a refund which was organised without so much as a quibble, and their sense of fair play has ensured that we will be back. You cannot fault them especially the lovely manageress. 10/10 every time.

Rubbish,funniest omelette I've ever seen, chips way over cooked and £2.80 for a small glass of flat Pepsi, they need to go to other poppins to see how it's done,never again

it was very good and i enjoyed it it was a good day out and the meal was very good. The sausage cheese bean slice was excellent. the staff are very polite and helpful.

Brilliant place. Good decent, honest food. Had some lovely breakfast sandwiches and hot drinks. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would recommend!

This may have once been a good restaurant but it no longer is. The food was at best average and at worst inedible. Whilst the food was cooked reasonably well (gastro pub standard) the seasoning made three of our four dishes inedible. A tip for the chef: if you can taste salt, you’ve over-seasoned. If your mouth dries from the salt, you’ve failed entirely. For the cost of the meal, it is reasonable to expect a chef who can cook - seasoning and all - to a very high standard. This failed to reach that bar at any time. I’ve paid much, much less and eaten far, far better many times before. Avoid.

Had a extremely good experience in the old house at home, the landlady was very attentive and went above and beyond in taking care of all my needs, will look forward to my next visit

Frist time we all ways Gon past it so we went on a date night nice pub lots of drinks to choose from I had a mix grill my wife had steak ask for medium it came out well done thats the only thing really the staff are a credit to the place I hope they I appreciated by the bosses we definitely will be back with are frends next week

Cold, burnt, potatoes like bullets. Not up to the usual standard of the restaurant.

If I was the owner I would fire all the front of house staff in the takeaway, all 5 of them that have just ignored customers waiting. No friendly hello, will be with you in a minute! 5 staff with miserable faces (looking like they had been slapped round the face with the wet fish) walking past customers several times avoiding making eye contact. Doubt we will ever visit again and nor should anyone else who values supporting local people, local jobs, local small businesses.

This is really bad(food) Fish and chips definitely worst I've ever had, hope they do something about it as it nice place an location EDIT: Feel sorry not to take photos of plates as my wife left most of chips which is more cooked than fried, I have eaten my cod, out of very grease batter. Even if we licked plates, professional owner would never respond like that. Didn't even get as napkins to vipe grease off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Nice pub, can get very busy! Not really a pub for a quiet pint. but if you're out for a good night I'd recommend this pub.

I really enjoyed my meal from here. Great service and the prices are reasonable. 10/10
