We had a lovely weekend stay at the Brookfield hotel. We had a function on the Saturday night which was a 7 course meal and I have to say I was blown away with the service and the reassurance of my gluten free options, I could literally have exactly the same dishes as everyone else with just a couple of tweaks I couldn’t believe it! A lovely gentleman served me who I think was a manager (I am so sorry I cannot remember his name) which made me feel so looked after as it can be daunting eating out somewhere new! All staff were helpful and made the evening run smoothly it was very professional! The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed, the only thing I would say is more plug sockets but that’s not the end of the world! Also it was a bit expensive for room service as a sausage and bacon sandwich ended up being £13.45 including tray service but again with inflation maybe that’s why it was that much! Apart from that there was plenty of parking at a small charge and the hotel was easy to get around. Thank you for looking after us, it was the best meal I’ve had as a coeliac plus the most I’ve ever been able to eat!

Rubbish, funniest omelette I've ever seen, chips way over cooked and £2.80 for a small glass of flat Pepsi, they need to go to other poppins to see how it's done, never again

Brilliant place. Good decent, honest food. Had some lovely breakfast sandwiches and hot drinks. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would recommend!

Our friends booked this restaurant on the strength of it's once achieved Michelin star....myself and my husband are vegetarian which they were told at the time of booking.the restaurant itself is very tasteful and has a calm feeling we were seated and given menus ours was the desert menu when we pointed this out the waitress inform us we could chose our desert and told us what we were having as a starter and main course never have I been to a restaurant or even a pub and been told what I'm eating unfortunately the meal went down hill from that moment our pre starter nibbles were tiny cones our friends were filled with a chicken parfait ours garlic mayonnaise which was so white it could only have come out of a jar....then a small box with a couple of sun dried tomatoes some miniature breadsticks and 2 halves of a papadew pepper with some cream cheese filling again all from jars .....our starter a beetroot and horseradish soup was so over salted it sucked all the moisture from your mouth ,our main was roasted celeriac which was buried under an array of wilted greens that looked like someone had run a rake through a pond and dumped it on the plates and most amazingly of all part of the' drzzle' around my plate was marmite !!! Straight from the jar....I didn't bother with dessert and had a coffee and seet treats a small dish of things that were described to us but unfortunately we're described incorrectly as the dark chocolate covered cherry turned out to be a dark mint chocolate unfortunately for me I dislike both marmite and mint chocolate...our friends had a fish and venison meal which they said didn't match the price all in all I would never visit or recommend this restaurant to anyone, such a dissapointment ,no real thought given to our meals we've eaten better at a local pub and certainly given a choice ! If this restaurant is charging the money it does they really need to up their game or reduce the prices.....
