Wow, As soon as you walk in are felt like your at home, very welcoming. The Staff are fantastic if you require anything different on the food menu just ask. The selection of beer,lager and wine is very good. Look out for the real ale regular and the special invited ales. If you can have table near the perfect fire. Regards Mr B.

Used to be our favourite pub , staff are now very unfriendly, booked a table no one seemed to know we had booked, waited ages for the meal, parsnips almost raw cabbage not much better, Yorkshire looked like aunt Bessies potatoes no colour looked insipid did tell server but she looked scared to death and apologised probably won't go back

From the minute I walked in, I was very welcomed by all the staff. They were polite, friendly and showed real professionalism. I was debating whether I was going to get food and my god I was so glad I did. The food was phenomenal and would highly recommend the burgers! The prices are very very reasonable also! All round great experience and would 100% recommend whether you are going out for a drink on your own, with a couple of friends or a group of you, either way you’ll enjoy this pub!

Nice food nice atmosphere, staff were polite enough, but the food took forever to come. I'll definitely come back though.

Love this pub. One very annoying aspect which I’ve never understood is why they’ve never bought new TVs. TVs are cheap now, and the quality when watching sporting events is shocking.

My younger son asked me to go there with him on a Saturday. We had soft drink in the pub. But on this occasion there was a special "do" on. There was live music in the back garden face painting for young children. Hog roast which we ended up having 2 of each. It consisted of a large bap with stuffing plenty of pork and apple sauce. There were burgers and hot dogs. It was a hot day we stayed on soft drinks. My preference was J20 orange and passion fruit. The event pretty well organised.

Very much enjoyed. Good food, won the meat draw. Good fun and long island iced teas. Mmmm. Recommend

Best atmosphere but little bit expensive than pub's avarage.

This Pub was acquired as a Tenancy with loads of ambition to make it the pub to visit. Since then it has become a basket case and virtually empty. The potential is there but it is dead. Footfall and spend is something that needs to be significant and even lifetime locals have abandoned the pub and crossed the graveyard to The Robin Hood which is thriving. It’s a great place to go to if you want a quiet environment with very little disturbance because there are no loud irritating customers to interrupt your solitude. As a business this pub must be leaking money. Please sell it to a business enterprise that knows what it is doing. It needs rescuing.

If you would like a slice of something different. With a beer garden the kids can run around in.

Lovely old pub, went in for lunch with the family sat in the lovely sunny garden. Me and my husband both had the hunters chicken which by the way was amazing, the kids had chicken nuggets (homemade) or fish fingers (handmade) Staff were very attentive, can’t fault it! Will definitely be back again

I have been to this pub several times now and the staff are friendly and welcoming, especially Amie the manager. The food is good and the building itself has a lot of character due to its 400 year age, along with a nice pub garden to sit in during the summer months. The Bands/ singers they have on a Saturday night get a lot of people dancing and the atmosphere is really good The Sunday dinners by the way are amazing!!

Was taken to the old house at home , havant for Father’s Day , had an excellent roast dinner, with amazing staff who were very attentive and polite . Would highly recommend and will be back soon .

Friendly staff and a great selection of beer. Euros available to watch and live music on a Friday!! Prices not too bad considering.

In my honest opinion, this pub is still a far stretch from where it should be. My partner ordered pork belly which was anything but tender. The burger I ordered was ok but totally basic. It’s also very expensive, £17+ for two drinks. I don’t think the bar staff are particularly professional. There was no effort to do any St George’s day celebrations, staff were not even aware of it. Our last visit was the worst, chairs had been left out in the rain overnight and had been put back around a table, nice and ready for unsuspecting customers to park themselves, (which we did), resulting in wet trousers all around. Although we received a round of drinks, this was the last straw for us. We will not be returning to this pub for a very long time. Fullers need to take this pub back and sort it out!!!

Unfortunately came to this pub with my family.Good points the staff were friendly.Bad points the mens toilets were out of action with such an awful smell going through the pub due to the men's toilet door being left open.With one of the urinals being blocked with piss.Men using the female Toilets.Which Would put some female women off for privacy.My wife did not even want to use the female toilets in the pub due to seeing men going in and out.This is one pub that I will definitely not be returning to.

Come here with friends twice a month for quiz , don't have meal but chips are good!! Only complaint is the coffee machine is switched off by 9 and I don't drink but want a hot beverage it's very annoying !!!!!

Went for a drink with the family and met the most amazing staff grace and the manager bailey in the end we sat down for food and for pub food it was beyond my expectations. The prices are amazing and food is good price for what they serve. Was only supposed to be in there for an hour but stayed there until closing as it is such a nice warm atmosphere would definitely recommend better than all the pubs ive been to.

Came here on a sunday and had some drinks in the garden with work colleagues. Was quiet and we were actually the only people sat in the outside area which was nice. The staff were very freindly and even brought us out a tray of potatoes that the chef had cooked as extras by mistake. Drink were fair priced aswell. The pub is very quircky and traditional in style which is nice be carefull if you are tall though as there are some low ceilings. I would definitely recommend.

Had a warm welcome with our party of 4 adults and my dog food and drink was brilliant.

I came in on Easter Sunday at about 4 meeting friends, it was very busy due to the live music in the restaurant side, the team did amazingly to keep on top of serving everyone, especially the happy hours on the beers between 6 and 9 only on sundays. There was even roast potatoes and gravy on the bar for everyone to nibble at after the kitchen had closed, and they looked absolutely amazing. Defo recommend to other people

Staffing a bit sparse. Nice atmosphere. I really don't drink but just wanted a hot chocolate or coffee ,but was told it had been closed down ,so had nothing .🙄

Recently visited the pub with a visitor who had a special dietary requirement. The staff had been helpful with meal suggestions prior to the visit and the meal on the evening was successful. Thank you.

I visited the old house at home on Friday the 22nd of march 2024, I ordered 2 pints of birra moretti for me and my brother, I was served by a young lad named oli, I must say for a young lad at 18 years old he is very professional and helpful, he was accompanied by a young lady named Gracie and my god they were both so kind and well spoken which is rare these days, I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this bar to tourists or just the general public passing through… thank you for your service and I’ll see you all again 😁

Extremely lovely welcoming manager and staff, so attentive and helpful. Lamb Roast expertly prepared and delicious, other food looked just as good. Nice bit of Easter decor including small chocolate eggs on the bar and a fresh flower on the table. No Roasts on Summer menu. BBQ some Sundays during Summer.

I have been a regular customer for many years now. I have always recommended this pub to friends and family. Have some lovely drinks, food and good times especially at New year's eve. I am not giving you a good review this time but feel I have to warn you to work on your customer service for your sake. I went to this pub last Sunday with my partner and ordered 2 drinks. 1 of them being a large glass of wine. I went to the bar to order another drink for my partner and myself where I waited for a while. It was not busy and the barmaid was working on a bill on the till, speaking to another customer, did not acknowledge me and walked away without saying anything to me. Totally ignored me. There was another member of staff in the bar and also ignored me. My partner and myself quietly left the pub.

Great place,ideal as a pit stop on our way home. Drinks are reasonably priced,as you would expect with a fullers pub.

Nice homely old fashioned style pub with friendly bar staff and a nice atmosphere. We didn't have any food so can't rate that this time but will be back as this is my kind of pub.Only criticism would be that the draft beer and cider selection is quite limited and could do with a wider selection. Otherwise a very nice pub.

I just popped I'm to catch up with family and had a lovely time. The staff are very friendly, and the new management seems to be taking the pub forward in leaps and bounds. The pub is clean and tidy, especially the toilets which is always a good indicator on what the rest of the pub is like. There seems to be lots going on with regular bands and entertainment so definitely a pub on the up and will definitely visit again!!

I came for the first time for a team Christmas lunch. Whilst the pub has lots of character and had an open fireplace going which added a nice atmosphere, the pre-selected three course Christmas menu was rather disappointing. Some of the dishes were very poorly executed. Overall it was not good value for money.

I went for a brief snack and was pleasantly surprised with the service I received, the young man, Bailey, made me feel incredibly welcome and was very happy to answer any questions I had. I'll definitely come back, if not just for the service alone

Lovely Little old fashioned bar. Great atmosphere. The only thing that let it down was having to wait so long for service. Could have spent more money if we didn't have to wait so long between wanting to get served and getting served. But when we did get served the staff (rushed off their feet) were nice and friendly and polite and couldn't fault them. Management needs to hire more staff. More staff = less waiting time for customers and more money going into your till.

Fuller's pubs and beers are always of a high standard, but there's nothing to recommend this one over the plethora of others in the area- since they took over Gales and shut the brewery.

I was there for the first time in many years. I went to see the Blondie tribute band Parallel Lines and had a very enjoyable evening. I was extremely impressed with the two barmaids that worked both bars very efficiently.

Lovely pub was really disappointing Sunday roast vegetables were hard and food was warm to cold Asked door a sweet menu only had ice cream We did relay to staff and they did apologise but it did not reflect on the final bill So very disappointing

Favourite local since 1999. Changed hands a few times, but today's management seem to have struck a balance. The place was packed this evening on a Friday, so good to see.

Just had breakfast here for the first time, full English and smashed avocado on toast. Absolutely delicious! Manager is lovely.

Good local pub. The pub itself is very old with low door ways in places - lots of character. A great beer garden with plenty of seating, a section is covered which would be useful for smokers when raining. Great selection of drinks at a reasonable prices.

Nice pub with a good size beer garden and pleasant staff, I ordered burger and chips for £16, chips were lovely and the burger was well presented, but the beef patty itself was not great at all. Shame

Really enjoyable pub quiz in a great location. The only negative was the lack of non-alcoholic cider options for those who are driving

Had an unexpectedly great Sunday hearty roast with friendly service too!

Booked a table for 7 people, when we arrived no one showed us to our table. The tables were filthy (sticky) no come to us with menus and cutlery, in the end we ended up asking at the bar . When the fish and chips come out it was over cooked so much so I couldn't cut it and the minted peas was stone cold. No one come to ask if everything was okay and when we complained we got no apology. All in all a very poor experience.

Food was good, came here for a birthday meal for my bfs dad, I had ploughman's which was really good, daughter had scampi and chips. The lads had chilli which we all enjoyed our food

Lucky 1 star. Music so loud you can't hold a conversation! Booked a table, arrived 5 mins late and others sat there. Ŕeally uncomfortable - shame as been pub of choice up to now. Sitting here now, taken over 10 mins to be served for a drink. Won't turn uke box down even though we said was loud. Food choice is more basic than expected and had seen before. No special board to be seen as before.

Wonderful little pub, we booked for a large group for a Sunday roast and the staff were all amazing in making sure all dietary requirements were catered for, food was delicious and good sized portions. Would highly recommend!

The bass on the music speakers are broken due to it probably being too loud, the sound vibrating sound goes right through you. Staff could be a little more welcoming. The bathrooms were of an unacceptable standard. Even if you’re busy, they should not be unattended to be left in that state. Good selection on food menu but seems overpriced. The building is beautiful though.

£8 for a glass of wine really,then told im being rude to be asking how much is a pint of lager.!!!!! Totally out of order

Alright for a drink but terrible for food. Been a few times and they either not got much it or its not very good. But if a drink is all your after then it's a good pub.

Really lovely pub, lots of character and friendly feel. The staff are welcoming and friendly and after booking a table we were sat by great fire and had an amazing roast dinner. This is in every sense a great British pub and will be back. The only thing missing was music…… in my opinion music adds to a welcoming environment. I think because they have a juke box they are asking people to feed it. I think this is a mistake and one that might influence our decision to return, and I’m sure others as I could hear other diners mention the fact it was so quiet and where was the music.
