The Ship Inn in Havant

Absolutely great customer service, very accommodating and patient. We needed wheelchair access and despite being very busy due to rugby match the guys were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. The food (fish and chips) was also amazing, delicious and huge portions! The place certainly deserves 5 stars!

The Bognor ride out group stopped in for a roast dinner we get everywhere on our scooters and meals out twice a week I must say that was one of the best roast dinners this year very generous portions, Melt in your mouth meat so much of it lots of different veg Crispy roast potatoes parsnips all absolutely lovely, at a very fair price great service from the staff. thank you guys

Passing through, a good atmosphere, a top location

Came here for a meal before a long walk the next day - very much a beer and football pub, lively, good fun. Good chicken and burgers menu, chips v nice, service really pretty good as well. Under new management who appear to be doing well, my only complaint is that the really attractive flower boxes have now gone.

Popped in with family (about 15 of us), the staff was very helpful and accommodating to seat us all. The food looked amazing. One family member had the ribs and he was very happy (pic from him meal). we will definitely return. Coalie has competition, lol.

First visit to this pub and warm welcome from Ruby and Ryan. Great customer service from start to finish. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. We would like to have had a dessert unfortunately no room left. We would recommend The Ship Inn , probably best pub in Emsworth.

Spent an evening in The Ship playing pool in the summer league. So friendly, helpful and the food they did for both teams, at their own cost, was excellent.

Me and some girlfriends went down to visit this pub for a meal and would defo recommend to anyone.The minute we stepped through the door we were welcomed and the atmosphere was fun and pleasant.The staff were accommodating,kind and always had a smile,and also the food was absolutely devine.Thankyou all for a lovely day

Superb food, service and a really friendly atmosphere. I love The Ship and everything about it. If you’re looking for great reasonably priced food in a comfortable and welcoming environment, The Ship is definitely for you. There’s never a dull night at the pub and there are so many feature nights with quizzes , live music and sports events featuring on their multiple screens, you’ll always have a view of the broadcast game or event.

Visited today, lovely roast dinner with outstanding service. Staff very friendly and helpful. I have visited this venue on numerous occasions for different events and can honestly say it always has a very welcoming atmosphere and we have never had a disappointing time. The food is fantastic and I’m a very fussy eater, but that is not a problem as the landlady and landlord are very pleasant and go above and beyond to attend your needs. Toilets are kept very clean and pleasant. Nice little garden at the back with benches and tables. Also very dog friendly which is great. And you have to meet ‘Margaret’ their bulldog.she is a beauty.Keep up the good work!

The food is to die for and they will accommodate for everyone! The staff are always smiling, happy, friendly and ready to help out. They really can’t do enough for you whether you’re a regular or a new customer. I couldn’t reckoned this pub enough!!! It caters for everybody whether you want a quiet drink or go round to the other side and enjoy great live music or entertainment. They’ve definitely brought a bit of life back to Emsworth! And if you’re lucky enough you might even catch a glimpse of the pub mascot (Margs) Keep doing what you’re all doing😁💙

We were pet sitting in Emsworth for a month and stepped in to The Ship Inn on our second day. We were back six times in the month. Implied satisfaction, YES. Rose was at the top of the service pyramid but everyone was top notch. Our food was always good and plentiful ranging from a great cheeseburger to jacket potatoes the ribs.

Popped in after a walk around the millpond. Ordered some lunch which was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were polite and friendly. Dogs allowed.

Noisy atmosphere for having a meal

One of the best places in town for a Sunday dinner. I will definitely be back for another. Shannon and Ruby do a lovely job in the kitchen and the servers are on point. The fact I can have a roast and watch football at the same time is fantastic. Keep up the good work and see you next week.

Great lovely pub in an Ideal Emsworth location, tried a few things off the menu and I've enjoyed it all so far. Staff really good at what they do and they give it a very family feeling there. Weekends are nice and busy with live music, good atmosphere all round. Spacious garden , lots of different TV for sports nights. Thoroughly enjoyable place to be ❤️

Had a large gathering for a Birthday here, we all had roast dinners. The bar staff were all great! Kerry behind the bar worked hard so all our tables and orders were served together. It made the day really special the food was great and the atmosphere super friendly

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Great beef, homemade gravy and Yorkshire pudding. Some things I would recommend - Change music Don’t have different types of veg / potatoes - only adds to prep for chef and no real added value for customer. All in all great and we will be back! Thanks Jimmy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cosy little pub, great place to watch sport.

Used to like this pub, unfortunately recently it is just full of kids and staff who act like they don't want to be there. The last few times I have visited a fight has broken out. Such a shame

Eaten in here 3 times now and Really good tasty street food now served in here. Portions are pretty big too. And not over priced. BUT …! Service is shocking food come out all over the place, all 3 times Iv had to go up and ask for cutlery.

We went for lunch yesterday and have to say it was the best toastie and fries ever. So delicious and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend 👌

Monday nights are BUSY in the Ship Inn. Quiz night, football on and people everywhere. Great atmosphere and a real buzz about the place. Staff were friendly and attentive, food comes in big portions and tasted great. Would recommend a visit, but if you’re not one for crowds, check ahead to see if they’ve got an event on as it may be busy. Thanks for finding us a table to eat at fairly short notice too!

New update 2023. Worse pub in emsworth, Full of bag heads, lads looking for trouble, Only pub in emsworth that needs door staff still ???? Won't be coming back here. Local pub and was sent away Christmas Eve early evening because they wouldn't let children in. (ages 8 and 11) Door staff/ bouncers Why would a pub have door staff in Emsworth? No pub in emsworth should need them unless it attracts the wrong type of people. If you want a nice pint and local, please avoid this place. There are much better pubs in Emsworth

Had a hell of a refurb! Good for sports fans!

We weren't intending on visiting a pub, but mid-afternoon on a Monday this seemed to be the only place in Emsworth serving hot food. Nice food, nice coffee, friendly staff. I would take off half a star for the sport TV if I could, but it was a warm day, so we sat in the garden & it didn't really bother us. Recommended.

Unfortunately I've had to give a one star rating otherwise was unable to right a review, therefore I'm now giving it zero. We are from England but now reside in Australia, and are visiting our relations. I came in this place with them when previously ran by Maz, and it was lovely then. This time round went in and ordered 3 shandy's and a coffee. beer had to go back and the coffee never turn up. Nobody behind the bar when we left to even ask about the hot drink that we paid for and never even received. Not what I would call great service.

Good prices on a fine selection of draught beer. It feels and looks like a nice old pub, but they also have a tv and a pool table.

Went for the Sunday roast. It was good value, and tasty, when we went about 1.30 it wasn't busy, but apparently is often busier earlier (12 to 1).

Had a great evening here. the staff were so nice and friendly and all looked as if they loved working here. 70 music was playing and every one seemed to love it. visitors were nice and most important of all the real ale was good and at very reasonable prices, well done this pub.

Visited with mother in law and brother in law for a Friday lunch bite to eat. Good traditional town pub which is nice to see rather than the stereotype corporate pubs everywhere. Beer was good (first pint of Directors I have had in 30 years!). Food was served quickly and hot and satisfying. Young lady behind the bar was charming, helpful, bubbly and made our visit. Recommended

Very good atmosphere plus lovely food

We stop by here with the dogs on our walks. The food is always good. The welcome atmosphere is pleasant. They always say hello to the dogs. Table service was very fast. The seating in the garden was good and more seats available than last time i visited. Our dogs where rather noisy i hope it didn't put the other customers off too much.

Came in yesterday just to have a coffee. Great service, member of staff was masked and encouraged us to check in to the NHS track and trace before sitting down, fast and friendly service. Coffee was also good and from a cafetière

Traditional pub. Pub food OK. Disappointing that bar staff were not wearing masks or visors, no sanitisers available and no attempt made to take contact details of customers. More attention needs to be made about cleanliness of cutlery, one fork was dirty. Staff were very pleasant.

So, The Ship Inn in Emsworth. Popped in for just a drink and stayed for lunch! We had the veggie nut roast and it was delicious. Everything you want from a Sunday roast and more. Staff were really lovely, prices very reasonable. Actually, could not fault it. Would recommend for a casual get together. The draught Amstel is especially good!! 😜 (booked a table for the following week! )
