The best restaurants serving British food in Hart South East

Quick and friendly service. Coffee and food were both hot, fresh but quick! Was really tasty and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend for those that like a breakfast but freshly cooked.

Nous nous y sommes arrêtés pour un apéritif et un diner. Belle demeure raffinée dans la jolie campagne anglaise. Un trés bon repas accompagné d'un bon vin. Notre maitre d'hôtel trés sympathique parlait parfaitement français. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée.

Great service great food. The staff are very friendly so much so I had an off day and they handled my query very well and professionally. Each time I pass Hook village I will always gladly stop in. Thank you for yours services

What a lovely dinner we had today at the white lion being served the whole by my Naomi what a lovely lady she is nothing was to much she went above and beyond.

Very slow food service for sandwiches. Very dry & tasteless Club sandwich, not worth waiting for. Waitress lovely & knowledgeable. Shame as it's a lovely venue. Food & slow service let it down.

Lovely venue, do book though as it gets very busy! Glass walls so you can still see the water wheel are a super feature. Food was really good, as was the service, will definitely be going back. Seats by the water for the summer months is what I'm looking forward to.

Always a good experience. Hailey and Sam are brilliant. The lady serving us, Nicky is brilliant. Professional but really good fun. Good chat. Good banter. Highly recommend.

Im not sure what has happened recently as we have regularly enjoyed this restaurant in the past but the last 2 times we have eaten there we have been very disappointed. The menu is lacking and our guest struggled to find any main that appealed and ended up having a starter. I wanted something healthy and chose the goats cheese tart with vegetables but was awful as mostly potatoes which I don’t eat. Very expensive too for basic food. Sadly not sure we will be coming back.
