Excellent fish and chips served by fab friendly people

I was asked to leave a review. I only brought a bag of chips . Excellent service with shocking black chips yuk . I wish I could post a picture. Not crisp outside will fluffy centre like a good chip should be . Worst I've seen never tried eating them

Second time I asked for a regular chips and was served literally a handful chips in a bag which were hard and small crispy bits as if they were left over from the day before gone expensive and down hill since it changed over

My husband and son came here and found it brilliant so I came here the next day to check it out myself!! It was fantastic, the cod was okay but the chips were brilliant, perfectly salted and nice and crispy. Robyn was extremely helpful and she was super polite even when I took a while to pay.

Picked up my order all was spot on and Robin made the whole experience a joy. Highly recommend a Sunday night.

Food was hot and very tasty. The staff were very polite and helpful with advice as i have allergies.

Me and my son came in, was a great atmosphere and woods nearby where we went to eat, amazing chips, the cod was great too and the curry sauce! Had a lovely chat with robin who served us, very friendly (even when I got my pin wrong twice), very helpful young lady.

Awful service! Food was an hour late, arrived stone cold, poor updates on the app to not keep us informed. Way too late to be eaten for lunch. Incredibly disappointed with both the app and restaurant

Good efficient service and great food

The chips were very dry. Usually they are very good. This was the first time we have had them delivered.

Used to be great when it was a traditional chippy but got bought by Deep Blue. It's gone up-market with touch screens and the like. Last time I was in I tried ordering at the counter and was told that they would prefer me to use the screens. Even though I was right there at the counter. Then after I'd ordered I was stood around for something like 25 mins because there was actually a massive virtual queue in front of me due to online orders and Just Eat orders. The fish and chips were nice enough, but it was expensive and the portions were small. Still, got to pay for those fancy touch screens eh?

We placed a order by useing just eat and it was not delivered very bad service I won’t be using this chip shop again as now out of pocket for £40

Ordered at counter standard cod and chips. Shocked at nearly £12.00 . Got it home and the fish was saturated in fat and like a wet nappy. The fish was like rubber. The chips were appauling, black parts on most of them. I ate small amount of fish and half the chips, then 2 hours later it all came back up. So ill. I will never order from here again.

We were very disappointed with our fish & chips last night, the fish was very dry & the chips awful, mostly thin bits of potato with eyes (as we call them) left in, they were not proper chips at all. We have been to Deep Blue Yateley, many times & no complaints, we even considered taking them back.

Used this chippy for the first time. Ordered online and everything was ready at collection time. Pro Tip for online ordering: If you add a sauce sachet on your chips and later remove it to change chips size, the sauce also gets deleted so you will need to add it back on. Had a large haddock which was massive, batter was super crispy with a great flavour. Large chips was plenty for two. Curry sauce was not the best I have had (seemed a little light in colour and flavour not as rich as I like). Service was super friendly. Parking can be a little hectic. Overall would definitely use again.

We went at lunch time and it was quiet, the lovely girl couldn't wait to serve us, which was great, but as soon as we'd ordered I noticed a sign on the automated order screens saying 10% discount if you use the screens, so we did miss out on the discount. We now know for next time. Fish and chips was up there with the best, crispy chips, crispy batter, flakey fish. We will be back again.

Quick service and excellent staff. Food taste amazing and will keep coming back. Brilliant for a busy late night if you want something quick.

I hate soggy chips but this place always go out their way to make them extra crispy for me, visit most Friday lunchtime and always greeted with a smile and a convo. worth visiting if you like a crispy chip 👍

Onion rings were so overcooked 2 were inedible fish was OK but nothing special.

Got to be worst fish and chip shop in the area, chips were luke warm and under cooked and what a rip off £7 for battered sausage and chips. Never be visiting again

Really nice quality pie for a chip shop, cod was pretty good, generous portion of chips (1 regular was plenty for 2) and service was really friendly by Lisa.

Shop empty so placed order . Told to wait they had to do phone orders first but shop empty and no one had arrived yet . 20mins later still waiting for phone orders to collect. Finally got served got home and more black chips than normal chips . Never again . Go to Blackwater next time

1st time using this place, was definitely not disappointed. Service was spot on, on time. The food was excellent quality & taste. Very good portion size.

Been a couple of times now as i thought the 1st time could be a one off. Possibly the worst ordering system for a chippy in the world. I have to sit there watching my food sit in a hot plate while the server twiddles her fingers waiting for the orders prior to mine to be cooked. When the food does come its poor at best. Anemic chips, served in one of them boxes the seams to kill all flavor. On both occasions the man doing the cooking has been as welcoming as a shut door, hes seriously in the wrong job.

Driver didn't knock or ring the door. My order was on the door mat for 5 minutes before I thought to check. Consequently, the dinner wasn't as hot as it should've been.

The prices here should be illegal but why not take advantage of an area that hasn’t got that type of food anyways? Management change will turn this place around too. Really bad attitude and seems like it’s selective service. Always a better one out there no worries.

Ordered via just eat at 7.15pm said my order will be just after 8pm. 8.30pm no order, then 8.53ish it was just cancelled, no call or explanation. Leaving me and my visitors hungry, so ordered a Chinese at 9pm which came 20 mins later

First time here, recommended by father-in-law, had a 5 min wait, due to cooking on order. Great service, didn't offer kebabs, as British fish n chips, so hubby had to go next door to get his meal in the Chinese

I still have not got my food.The chip shop is only 30 seconds by driving. The notifications say my food was delivered, but it hasn't. Maybe the driver stole it, as its happened to me before and never resolved. Thanks for taking my money, and I'm having a diabetic hypo, thanks to no supper.

Food bag was not sealed; southern chicken burger ordered but plain chicken burger received (no lettuce or tomato either); having ordered before I knew what to expect but this time quality fell very far short and ended up discarding it. Not up to the usual standards I have previously experienced.

Jess was amazing, as she always is. She could work for chick-fil-a. I realize this means little to most, but trust me it is the highest compliment I can give.
