Joel and Ewan are such a great duo and kept me entertained whilst I waited for my chips to cook

nathan and clinton was really nice to me and helped me find my fav order thanks alot fish tastes like fish and chips taste perfect

Ordered 2 fish & chips, 1 scampi & chips and 2 pots of curry sauce. When asked, I said I'd like salt & vinegar on both fish & chips but salt only on the scampi & chips. Once the food was cooked, I saw the scampi box being put into the bag so I asked if salt had been added. It hadn't & was taken back out & salted. I then saw one fish & chip box being closed & put in the bag so I reminded the server that I'd asked for salt & vinegar on both fish & chip meals. The last box in the bag was opened & something was added (I assumed it was salt & vinegar) When we got home & started to ear, only one fish & chip meal had been salted (couldn't taste any vinegar) the other had nothing at all whilst the scampi was almost oversalted. One piece of fish broke as the box was closed & it all looked a bit sloppily done. As another server asked if I'd leave a review, I decided to & my verdict is that things could be a lot better. Why ask about salt & vinegar if you're not going to pay attention? Why when reminded, would you still do half a job? Why not take a little more care rather than throwing the food in the boxes? It wasn't busy, there were only 2 other customers in the shop & very little food in the warming area. Given that fish & chips is no longer a cheap takeaway, I'm honestly more likely to spend the same amount of money on an Indian takeaway next time after tonight's experience

Very friendly staff of young men. Efficient and gave me a blue light discount after recognising I had just come from a very hard day at work in my uniform. Nice to be appreciated! Fish and chips tasted amazing! Crispy and not oily fish and chips! Well seasoned. Will definitely be trying again!

I visited for the first time the other day as needed a quick bite to eat, and was served by a young girl who I think was called Robyn? She was very friendly and helpful when i was unsure due to never having come here before! The food was very nice and great for the price, but Robyn certainly enhanced my experience!

My husband Benji and I have been wanting to do more at home date nights and we thought take away fish and chips was the way to go. MY OH MY were we correct!! Deep blue fish and chips were the best I’ve ever tasted and the customer service from Robyn was incredible. Thank you so much from me and my husband

Everything that actually came was cold

beautiful light crispy batter on the cod we ordered 3 cod & chips 2 were of reasonable size but one was a childs size definitely not worth £10 sorry won't be returning not at that price

Only given a one star because I can't give it any less. The portions are tiny and the chips were stone cold. Just under £10 for a 'large' haddock. Large haddock, regular haddock and 1 regular chips cost £21.37. Shop was being run by what looked like 2 school boys. Won't ever go there again

I was asked to leave a review. I only brought a bag of chips . Excellent service with shocking black chips yuk . I wish I could post a picture. Not crisp outside will fluffy centre like a good chip should be . Worst I've seen never tried eating them

Second time I asked for a regular chips and was served literally a handful chips in a bag which were hard and small crispy bits as if they were left over from the day before gone expensive and down hill since it changed over

My husband and son came here and found it brilliant so I came here the next day to check it out myself!! It was fantastic, the cod was okay but the chips were brilliant, perfectly salted and nice and crispy. Robyn was extremely helpful and she was super polite even when I took a while to pay.

Me and my son came in, was a great atmosphere and woods nearby where we went to eat, amazing chips, the cod was great too and the curry sauce! Had a lovely chat with robin who served us, very friendly (even when I got my pin wrong twice), very helpful young lady.

Food was hot and very tasty. The staff were very polite and helpful with advice as i have allergies.

Awful service! Food was an hour late, arrived stone cold, poor updates on the app to not keep us informed. Way too late to be eaten for lunch. Incredibly disappointed with both the app and restaurant

Good efficient service and great food

The chips were very dry. Usually they are very good. This was the first time we have had them delivered.

Used to be great when it was a traditional chippy but got bought by Deep Blue. It's gone up-market with touch screens and the like. Last time I was in I tried ordering at the counter and was told that they would prefer me to use the screens. Even though I was right there at the counter. Then after I'd ordered I was stood around for something like 25 mins because there was actually a massive virtual queue in front of me due to online orders and Just Eat orders. The fish and chips were nice enough, but it was expensive and the portions were small. Still, got to pay for those fancy touch screens eh?

We placed a order by useing just eat and it was not delivered very bad service I won’t be using this chip shop again as now out of pocket for £40

Ordered at counter standard cod and chips. Shocked at nearly £12.00 . Got it home and the fish was saturated in fat and like a wet nappy. The fish was like rubber. The chips were appauling, black parts on most of them. I ate small amount of fish and half the chips, then 2 hours later it all came back up. So ill. I will never order from here again.

We were very disappointed with our fish & chips last night, the fish was very dry & the chips awful, mostly thin bits of potato with eyes (as we call them) left in, they were not proper chips at all. We have been to Deep Blue Yateley, many times & no complaints, we even considered taking them back.

Used this chippy for the first time. Ordered online and everything was ready at collection time. Pro Tip for online ordering: If you add a sauce sachet on your chips and later remove it to change chips size, the sauce also gets deleted so you will need to add it back on. Had a large haddock which was massive, batter was super crispy with a great flavour. Large chips was plenty for two. Curry sauce was not the best I have had (seemed a little light in colour and flavour not as rich as I like). Service was super friendly. Parking can be a little hectic. Overall would definitely use again.

We went at lunch time and it was quiet, the lovely girl couldn't wait to serve us, which was great, but as soon as we'd ordered I noticed a sign on the automated order screens saying 10% discount if you use the screens, so we did miss out on the discount. We now know for next time. Fish and chips was up there with the best, crispy chips, crispy batter, flakey fish. We will be back again.
