The best restaurants serving British food in Fareham South East

Expensive for what is clearly budget supplied food for a standard breakfast. For £1.50 more you could have their top meal treble most items but too much to eat. I had finished my breakfast and went to the toilet leaving my cup of tea to be finished on my return and my coat still on the chair. On my return the table had been cleared by a rude waitress. To be fair, the proprietor did offer me a replacement tea but it shouldn't have happened in the first place being so eager to clear an obviously occupied table. It is a typical roadside caff but expensive and rude service.

This will be a fantastic new pub once it is rebuilt. Phoenix rising from the ashes.

Booked for 1 pm. 20 min wait for our drinks. Shared starter arrived at 2pm. Mains given to us before we had finished our starters. Fish and chip meals all over cooked. We won’t be visiting again. Service and food way below par!

We have heard a lot of good things about this place, saying its the best Sunday roast they've ever had. So we thought let's give it a go. Well I had the roast beef which was very nice and tender, the wife had the roast loin of pork, which she said was actually quite dry, served with all the trimmings. I would say it was nice, but certainly not the best and at £16 each was it worth it? Maybe. Will we go again? Probably not.

Excellent Sunday roast and terrific friendly service. Portions very large. Veg fresh and varied. Good selection of beer. Highly recommended for families.

Went for a birthday lunch, 4 people (1 child). Food tasty and freshly cooked, reasonably priced including drinks. If I had to be picky I would say the dinning area is pretty dated and has a very quiet atmosphere. Would suggest a bit of background music wouldn't go a miss. Overall though very good experience. Would visit again.

Very busy on a Friday night as expected, but found a table for 3. We shared some chicken bites, wings and chips. Only had to wait about 5 mins for the food to be served, which was piping hot and tasty.

Took our friends for afternoon tea, very polite staff, amazing selection of food and drinks. Setting very calm and peaceful. Hot chocolate was amazing. Service was very efficient and attentive to all our needs. Highly recommended.

Not a bad place. The staff make up the most of it. Not too welcome when you walk in as you are confronted with a pool table. The decor is a bit run down and needs a refurb. However overall a nice experience. Not really a family place as it is a bit of a "lads" place but that wasn't a problem but maybe off putting for others.

I’ve just had a terrible experience here. My meal was completely forgotten, and when I raised the issue, the staff were rude and dismissive rather than apologetic. I admit I lost my temper out of frustration, but that was only because of how poorly the situation was handled—being ignored while the rest of my table ate was unacceptable. To make matters worse, my granddaughter was very upset by the whole situation. What should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. Mistakes happen, but the lack of care and basic customer service was shocking. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Really sad but we won’t be back 🤷‍♀️

Food is nice but the reason why I rated it a 1star Is because hygiene rated 1/5 so me personally I'm NEVER having it Again SO DONT HAVE IT!!!!!

8 of us went here,for,breakfast - the waitress took our orders bought the drinks we ordered out that we drank even before our breakfasts arrived 6 people were served leaving 2 me and a friend - the item we ordered (Huevos rancheros) said fried eggs but we both asked for poached instead - the others were half way through theirs and the waitress came and said there was a problem with ours but it would be out shortly - well normally anything like this the poached eggs sit on top instead it was a mess of tomato salsa and piped runny avocado (definitely out of a bottle) so I pushed it off to see the egg - I can only describe as a raw egg in no,shape or form was this poached fried or any other way cooked - I can only assume that the problem at the start was they didn’t,know,how,to poach eggs and had run out of probably frozen poached ones as three other people had them on out table and they looked like hard boiled - i didn’t bother having anything else - at no point did anyone come to apologise or see if everything was ok - 3 other people complained,about theirs being cold and 2 of them weren’t charged - when the bill came they had the cheeck to,charge me for,the,coffe at 3.90 after I had sat there not having breakfast Staff very inattentive and unapologetic Would not eat there again

As a family of 4 we ordered a delivery from Fareham West Street. Yet again they failed to delivery our full order, why do I keep ordering you ask??? Because the kids love a McDonalds. Ordered via Uber, no issues with delivery but a burger was missed out. Called and spoke to the Manager and was told there was nothing they could do and I need to report it to Uber. Well as we know, the deliveries are now in a sealed bag so Uber weren't to blame. It was McDonalds who left out the burger yet they wouldn't send another one out even though the restaurant was full of delivery drivers. Crap service again. Nearly every order we place has something missing.
