Fantastic fresh food and great service. There were 13 of us and we all enjoyed our meals, no complaints at all. Very accommodating staff. Reasonable prices. We were all very happy and will definitely return. Thank you.

Being a nandos fan, this one is the best. Cooked to perfection, friendly staff and usually able to get a table.

Harpers is a very friendly, welcoming and great place to eat. We have been here numerous times and have always had an excellent experience. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering visiting here. A*

I have never been more offended in my life than during my visit here. I was shopping for a gift and in my hand I had a gift bag, in the gift bag was a card I choose. I placed a travel mug in the gift bag to check it was the right size gift bag for the item that I was about to purchase from them as well as the card and bag. I was then immediately accosted by a female member of staff on the doors near the entrance who ran over and said “I’ve just seen you put that in your bag I’m going to have to ask you to leave the store immediately”. I stared at her in absolute confusion until it clocked, she thought I was shoplifting! I explained and show her the gift bag and said “I assure you this is not my own personal bag (it was very obviously a gift bag it was shiny and had a label on it!) it’s one of your products I have a card in there and I am using the coffee cup to see if it’s the right size”. She explains it doesn’t matter and that they’ve had incidences of shop lifting earlier in the day and that I needed to leave the store. I told her I was absolutely horrified and truly offended that she thought my placing one of their products into a gift bag which was also there’s was shoplifting. I said to the lady perhaps in the future instead of accusing someone of being a criminal you could offer them a basket if you dislike the use of the gift bag. She said “I apologise if you’ve been offended” but still asked me to leave! I did not get an apology for accusing me of shop lifting, there was no acknowledgment of her error, two other staff members watched on and offered no apology for this treatment as I walked out the door. I was mortified and left immediately, it ruined my day I felt so anxious for the rest of the afternoon. Now my hurt has turned to anger at this horrendous customer service. I understand it’s a tricky time of year for shoplifting but to accuse someone of stealing by placing an item into a gift bag to check it’s the right size is absolutely unacceptable. I will never be going here again after this horrific treatment and neither will any of my friends and family.

Staff (Matt) very friendly and helpful, good service, good vegetarian options. The bar is also dog friendly area.

Went in for a simple coffee the manager was clearly on something because I struggled to get my wallet out and told me to hurry up. Ruined the experience of sitting in for me so not recommended going back here!!

Great free house. If you like real ale they have a good selection. Highly recommend if you want a quiet drink in a friendly atmosphere.

Went yesterday for lunch after a session of goat yoga in the area. 10 of us sat on the patio area outside and had a light lunch from the amazing selection on offer. Suited everyone and food came quickly. Sat in the beautiful sunshine and this place finished off a perfect day! Thoroughly recommend. Food was exceptional value.

As a family we enjoyed a perfect lunch at The Talisman. There is a great choice of food to suit all tastes and the service was all you could wish for. A lovely atmosphere with a comfortable and relaxing vibe.

Amazing service, lovey staff. The room however, let them down. The mattress was awful, could feel every spring on it. The shower leaks at the controls and there was very thick dust on the radiator which you could smell while heating was on. The staff were awesome but unfortunately can't give a high score. We regret paying for 2nights as only stayed for 1 but if the issues are sorted, would love to try again.

10 ladies in their 40s visited for bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday. It took 45 mins for a waitress to even take our first drink order which meant half of our 90 minute bottomless has already gone. Argued the point but the concept of this was lost on the waiting staff and management! Educated them by suggesting if busy they should provide bottles of Prosecco on bottomless tables to keep guests happy. They were not equipped for our booking despite this being made a month in advance. Afternoon tea was average, small servings and limited variety. Not enough to feed 10! Service painfully slow! Moved out to the terrace after the bottomless and waited another 45 minutes for drink order to be taken. Waiting staff are miserable, stressed and overwhelmed. If it’s that bad in April god forbid what it will be like in the summer months! Stunning location, great decor but absolute shambles of organisation and management. We had booked a 50th birthday celebration in July which I’ve cancelled as I was so disappointed by it all. The Boathouse really need to pull their finger out. Expensive drink and good and shocking service and quality. I’d steer clear!
