We had been recommended this by a friend and when trying to book it was fairly booked up; so thought this a popular place. Me and my partner arrived 20 minutes early, we wasn’t greeted or informed where to sit; so we sat at the bar. I gave my name and we remained seated at the bar; we wasn’t told how long or asked whether we wanted a drink whilst we waited. Whilst sat at the bar the two staff continued to serve other people whilst me and my partner was ignored. After 10 minutes we decided to leave it was busy clearly not enough staff and our first impression was not good. We then drive 5 minutes down to the veranda where wee were greeted sat down and had an amazing meal. We never got to eat at the roebuck and won’t now, but will be returning to the veranda.

Excellent cake for my mums 60th. Designed beautifully and tasted amazing! Great value for money, and was ready in plenty of time before the suprise party. Highly recommend

What an amazing evening from the welcoming greeting as we arrived to the server Chloe who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was outstanding! Above all the food was a culinary delight, we were a family of 6 who all had starters mains and desserts all of which were presented impeccably and tasted amazing… we each couldn’t help but try each others! Highly recommended a warm and cosy atmosphere even our puppy was made to feel at home. We will definitely return now harpers is one of our favourite spots to go.

Have liived locally to The Crofton for years but hadn't tried a Sunday Roast, so was looking forward to trying one here, we had booked in advance, but unfortunately we can't rate the food as to our surprise the Sunday roast (the whole point we booked here on a Sunday) was unavailable in every variety of meat! We appreciate they get busy, but we had booked and the fact they had run out of Sunday Roasts on a Sunday afternoon wasn't made to clear to us on arrival, it was only after we'd been seated and told the options for the Sunday roast were on the blackboard, and my partner had tried to order one, were we told they had none. Pointless visit as we had to drive elsewhere. Very disappointed with what was our first visit here. Have now made a return visit, and the roast was quite nice.

The Bugle Hotel in Titchfield is a charming place to stop for lunch, newly refurbished it offers a blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Located in the picturesque village of Titchfield, it is the perfect spot for visitors exploring the vibrant and historic South Coast of England. The hotel also boasts a large relaxing bar serving a superb range of spirits, including a gin bar, and a variety of draught lagers and real ales. The service is excellent, and the use of locally sourced produce adds to the amazing dining experience. Overall, The Bugle Hotel is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere, within a stunning historic setting.
