Lovely food here. Went today been going for years. For some reason the entrance we always go in had a barrier in the way. Had it not been for a customer interrupting his lunch and telling us the entrance was further down. We would have left and probably never returned. A lesson learned hopefully.

I have tried all the garden centers in this area, and I have to give credit where credit is due, the food is amazing and good portion size, sometimes we have to wait for a seat as there always so busy, we would rather wait for a while rather than eat somewhere that you feel doesn't give good value for money, staff so obliging and happy, the place is very comfortable and this makes it for me a wonderful place to eat out, chill and relax,

Arrived at 1.45 ordered quiche of the day for my husband from specials board. Sorry sold out. So he chose something else. I then ordered 2 jacket potatoes for myself and sister in law. Sorry sold out. She chose something else. I asked what pie of the day was from menu. No pie of the day as it’s too hot! We ended up with tuna sandwiches. They should remove sold out items from specials board. Looks like they have a good choice of food when actually they don’t. Won’t be returning any time soon. Very disappointing.

We visit here for all things gardening and also the super restaurant. All staff are, without exception, helpful, knowledgeable, and very happy to help. The plants are fabulous, a huge variety, and always look very well cared for. Because of my husband's very poor mobility issues, we are very happy with the 'no dogs' policy. The restaurant staff have always been incredibly helpful on our many happy visits. Thank you and well done to all lovely staff.

We visited the cafe for morning coffee and cake only. It was not that busy so we decided to sit down. Some of the seating cushions did not look good, quite a lot of stains on them, eventually we found a table that looked ok. We both went to the counter to look at what cakes they had, I am gluten free so it is not easy to find a selection of cakes. The lady behind the counter was miserable, disinterested and quite abrupt, dealt with me as though I was the oddball and basically said that this what they had. I decided to have a cappuccino whilst my wife had a mocha. Both were quite frankly very bland and tasteless. The price was ok if the coffee had been any good, we left after drinking half of our drinks, we should have gone to Garsons where coffee, cake and service is 10 times better, the saying you pay for what you get is so true.

Top class Fantastic garden centre in Titchfield, not far from the motorway. It has everything you need, from seeds to indoor plants, out door plants, items for the home and garden, gifts for anyone, cards, the list is endless. As for the cafe....... One of the best we have ever been. All good is cooked to order and all home made cakes. Do much to choose from and they don't scimp on the amount you have. Despite prices everywhere going up, you sure have a harty meal or snack at reasonable prices. Staff ate on the go all the time, either delivering food and drink to tables, or clearing away, and it's so nice and clean. Each day if your name is on the blackboard, you get a free hot drink. It's certainly a place to visit, in fact we gave been twice just this week. You won't be disappointed

Tea shop settings with restuarant prices. We visited with our friends for Sunday lunch. They advertise roast dinner on Sundays. However, we arrived at 1pm and the roast wasn't on that day. Very little else to choose from, but we had pie of the day. Steak pie and chips with quarter of a tin of baked beans with a drink and cake cost us nearly £50 for 2 people. I had to queue for that too!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

This is a lovely garden centre, with a distinctive, personal ambience about it, being located in the immediate vicinity of Titchfield Abbey. It certainly has a less overtly commercial feel about it compared to some other garden centres I've visited recently. The site was a field until around 1930 when a house and greenhouses were built as part of a nursery complex. Further greenhouses were later added, nearly doubling the area under glass, but these were subsequently abandoned and remain derelict and overgrown, albeit out of sight to customers today. The site transitioned from being a nursery to a garden centre in the 1960s. Stewarts took over the Abbey site in late 2016 from the Q Garden Company and has steadily invested in upgrades since then. This has included modernising the café area and customer toilets. Despite the garden centre being fairly modest in size, it sells a good range of plants, shrubs and related products. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. There is also a Maidenhead Aquatic outlet in the premises. There is plenty of parking available. I did use the café but only ordered a pot of tea (£2.55) which actually provided about two and a half cups’ worth. Food on offer included freshly made sandwiches; cakes; various versions of cooked breakfast; baked potatoes; a pie of the day with potatoes and seasonal vegetables; a vegetarian pie option and a roast on Sundays. There is a kids menu. The café had a lovely atmosphere about it, being light and airy and with a very pleasant family buzz. There is outside seating available from which you can see the Abbey. Orders are brought to your table and you can choose any free table you want thanks to the use of an ingenious GPS enabled table marker system. The service I received from the lady serving at the food order point and from the young waitress who brough my tea to me was flawless – friendly, efficient and polite. From my experience, I’d definitely recommend Stewarts Abbey Garden Centre.

Menu was very limited (could only order from small appetites menu) no choice at all but to have a sandwich (one slice of bread) with chips. Spent £40 on 4 small sandwiches and teas, hot chocolates. Service was poor despite it not being busy. Food came before drinks and so we had finished our food by the time drinks turned up. Roof was leaking and both myself and my daughter slipped up on wet floor as the roof was leaking. Would not come back to eat here. We were ver disappointed indeed.

We have eaten here quite a few times and it is a superb experience. The Ploughman's is half a large Scotch egg, half a pork pie, a small Cumberland sausage roll, 4 sweet peppers filled with cream cheese, salad, caramelised onion chutney, a hunk of bloomer, a large wedge of extra mature cheddar, and the same of apple smoked cheese. Heaven. My wife normally has the smashed avocado on bloomer served with salad and fries, normal or sweet potato. The afternoon tea for two is something else with cakes about petit four size, a selection of sandwiches, scones plain and fruit, Roddas clotted cream and jam. With refillable tea. I have never been brave enough to try one of their baked potatoes as it looks as they go past to some brave soul to require a rope, crampons and a flag once you reach the summit. The staff are lovely and will explain exactly what you are getting on the afternoon tea and will change any of the sandwiches you may not fancy. It is said that you should never go shopping hungry, this is the exception that proves the rule.

We had looked forward to visiting Stewart's Abbey Garden Centre at Titchfield for some time, and finally did so today. Sadly a lot of the stock was vastly over priced by comparrison to other garden centre's and even supermarkets. It was an exceedingly hot day and I was looking forward to getting indoors, only to find there was no air conditioning and it was stiffling. On the plus side the social distancing that I haven't seen work properly anywhere else, actually seemed to work here.

As part of a family get-together, we've been coming to this Garden Centre for a number of years. As well as buying plants and other garden items, we've usually had lunch in the café. The omelettes have always been absolutely incredible, with good fillings and side salades. Today I had the (genuinely home made) steak pie with vegetables, and quite honestly, if I hadn't had a very light breakfast, I would have been severely challenged!!All vegetables were freshly prepared and NOT overcooked, and the pie itself was delicious and filled with steak cooked to perfection. After a long pause (!), I had a piece of lemon cake - again home made with a cup of coffee.

My husband and I regularly visit Abbey nurseries and will have a drink and something to eat in the cafe. On this occasion we decided to bring our teenage kids for some lunch. I appreciate the cafe was busy but was disgusted at the rude attitude of the young girl serving and the fact our meals were so small as each piece of pie was being cut in half to make extra portions. We had to ask to add vegetables and potatoes to our meals and were then charged nearly £50 for 4 unacceptable meals with drinks. We will not be visiting again and will strongly advise friends and family not to either.

Not been here before and decided to give it a try. Visited with family and have to say it has probably the best aquatic centre I’ve come across - small granddaughter was fascinated by the numerous tanks of small fish and corals. Anyway, noticed there’s also a restaurant and decided to give it a try whilst we were there. Plenty of indoor seating plus outside patio area - almost empty on the weekday we visited. Menu sufficient for all tastes - hot food/salads/sandwiches/cakes etc - would say prices are slightly above what you might expect. It was a hot day but I fancied soup and although on the menu, it wasn’t available - surely it’s not difficult to cross it off the menu board? However, what we did have was fine and just nice to sit under a parasol at a table outside (where there’s a large and colourful raised flower bed). From our table you could see top of nearby Titchfield Abbey.

We were three adults, a baby and a dog. We decided to visit because Stewart's Abbey Garden Centre is dog friendly (providing dogs are quiet and well-behaved), so we chose to eat lunch here for this reason. There was plenty of room for the dog and the pushchair, and the overall venue was pleasant. Our arrival, at 11.35am, however was ill-timed, since breakfast had ceased. and lunch did not begin until 12 noon. We ordered hot drinks (coffee very good, tea average) and waited until the hot food was served. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food filling, but uninspiring.

Since the Company Stewarts have taken over from the previous Company, the prices have risen, and the standard of food has dropped, but it is still the same friendly helpful staff who run the coffee shop. Not so keen on the hot plate layout though, it was better quality food they cooked after you had ordered, not on the so called hot plate.

For a nursery this offers a selection of cold and hot food. It is far too expensive. Paid over £7 for a bowl of chicken broth which was average. There has been a big price increase since the takeover by Stewart’s from Abbey nursery which is fine if you can deliver value for money. Much better options further down the road.

What a shame the new owners have changed the menu. Previously the food served here was excellent and varied. It was also cooked fresh while you waited. Delicious curry, mac cheese, pasta bake etc. Now items like quiche are drying out on a hot plate and the cabinet is full of dozens of panninis.

This garden centre and cafe has really improved since being taken over by Stewarts and is well worth a visit. We came in for a coffee but ended up having breakfast as well.It was nicely cooked and served by friendly staff. The cafe has been greatly transformed with new flooring, new seating and a brighter and pleasant outlook. There is good menu choice and most items are reasonably priced.

Set at the rear of a beautiful garden centre, this self service restaurant offers a good cuppa and a range of light meals and baked goods. Unfortunately there isn't much of an atmosphere as it is a really large area and feels more like a canteen. It did however look like they were starting to make some changes - will definitely go back.

We went to the nursery to buy some things for Mum's garden. The man in the shed was Matthew and he was very helpful with all the advice Mum needed. The order included free delivery. The plants all looked very healthy and we got points on our loyalty cards. We then visited the shop and bought some very reasonable cookery and allotment books. The shop is also well stocked with lovely as well as useful things to buy. We found it to be very reasonably priced. They do a wonderful breakfast in the morning which is really cheap. Many people visit the centre just for the breakfast at just 3 pounds for 6 items. There was no vegetarian option or choice of eggs though. The service was a little slow but they did their best. Dogs were allowed in the café too. There is a good sized car park and a recycling scheme for all your unused garden pots and free broken crocks and boxes.

Lovely little garden centre cafe. Good for tea, coffee and cake or just a cooked breakfast. Could get very hot in the summer as it is situated inside one of the large greenhouses.

Go here if you like howling, smelly dogs on a wet day? Dogs being fed expensive human food at the table, slobbering over the chairs too? We’ve seen this before here and “complained” about it to the staff and they still do nothing. Sadly, this coffee hour today, was horrendous and yet the dog owners think it’s ok? They think they’re “entitled” and that everyone loves their dogs? They don’t. You’ve finally lost our custom for the future.

Was so very disappointed, after everything we had heard we were expecting great things. On arrival we were ignored and not acknowledged for 10 minutes. The venue is very attractive and well laid out, there is generally a positive ambience except the initial welcome. The food did not live up to expectations, all was bland and although we all had different dishes they all tasted the same, no chillies or spice in the meals . The place is quite pricey and sadly it was definitely not worth the money. Real shame

Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the detour, you need a car really to get there but good free parking onsite. The restaurant was fairly quiet for a Friday night so we got a nice table in a window alcove. The meal is varied and our food was very good. I would recommend

Myself and my partner popped to The Golden Lion and we hear the food is meant to be good. We ordered a Croque monsieur and a Croque Madame. Our food was served to us by the lovely Yvonne, and on first look it was very presentable and looked amazing. We both were very impressed with the presentation of our food and on first taste we both said "that's amazing". Steve came to check to see if everything was ok and we told him that it was incredible. I would highly recommend this pub for food, the staff are very friendly and the chef is incredible and a credit to the pub. Thank you Jamie, Steve and Yvonne for making our experience at The Golden Lion a Fab one. We look forward to many more.
