The best restaurants in Fareham South East

Visited on 19/02/2025 A good experience overall, with selections made from the tapas menu. The fish dishes (especially the prawns) were a particular highlight. In fact, could have done with larger portions, particularly with the meatballs. The beer prices (£5.50 for a 330ml bottle of Estrella) were a little steep.

Lovely people, great food, comfortable environment.

Great food & service in a modest-sized restaurant. Simple interior and furnishings. Just a shame that at the end of the night the chef didn't want to converse or acknowledge my presence. Makes such a difference if the chef checks that everything was okay. Encourages one to return.

What a plaice!!! I have found this gluten free fish and chips shop which cooks separately from other foods, now my son can enjoy fish and chips again. Absolutely amazing taste and very good value for money. It will be on my frequently used favourite food takeouts. Please support this shop as there are not many if any that cook separately. To the owners I cannot thank you enough as I live quite far away, you wrapped my order and insulated it and it was still hot when I got home. I cannot say how happy we are for your dedication in this business, keep doing what you’re passionate about.

Best indian takeaway in Fareham. Unique and consistantly good vegetarian options. Staff are always incredibly kind and I have never had to wait longer than expected for food.

Me and my husband would 100% recommend this treasure of a pub to anyone. Whether you're going for tasty food or a catch up with friend's, it's perfect. I would also recommend the Sunday roast. Gale cook's the roast dinner's to perfection. The portion's are very generous and there's plenty of mixed veg and even cauliflower cheese. Always a warm atmosphere and lovely friendly staff who always make us feel at home.

Antonio is a bundle of energy and joy! Very welcoming, accommodating and clearly knows his food and client base. Food was delicious, authentic, served with a smile and thoroughly enjoyed!
